I heard a Smiths or Morrissey song on the radio with they lyrics "run run run run runaway" which Morrissey repeated over and over again. Can anyone please identify the song title? Please?
the smiths version is miles better but still a great video. i bet if you were at the show it would sound a lot better. seen morrissey 5 times and he just seems to get better. i have also seen the smiths 3 times . LEGENDS .thanks for posting.
"But don't forget the songs that made you cry, and the songs that saved your life. Yes you're older now, and you're a clever swine. But they were the only ones who ever stood by you."
"I'm here with a cause and holding a torch, in the corner of your room , can you hear me, and when you're dancing and laughing and finally living, hear my voice in your head and think of me crying then" this is my favorite song, from laying in awe on my bedroom floor in the late 80's as a very young girl in a very small town. This man made me..I am warped beyond magination! He's not the last of the family line, not as long as I am living!
It must be Hultsfred festival in Sweden 2005. I was there. It is the best song by Morrissey ever. It was the first show I ever saw after being a fan since 1991. I fucking cried like a baby....
all you people need to stop moaning, you all need to accept that The Smiths are over, and you all have to stop having a go at his guitarist, why don't you people just shut up and stop living in the past.
gosh whats with the guitarrist, go learn the songs if you are going to play for mozz, song is awesome, with marr at guitars! what shame, morrissey still good though.
even if they dont really like his solo stuff, which is shit really, his solo career has contained some really strong albums like vauxhall and I, your arsenal and kill uncle, a song like "there is a light that never goes out" survives in any form because of its brilliant simplicity, but most smiths songs were about a very unique combination of individuals that made up the band
and another thing, I went to see morrisey at Reading a couple of years ago, when he opened with how soon is now it was not the religious experience I wouldve imagined it to be, he only started doing smiths songs in his set when people stopped giving a shit about him because maladjusted sold so badly, to be honest I would rather he had opened the set with roys keen or asian rut, he knows there is a die hard audience of smiths fans that will go to his gigs
yeah why cant that guitarist shut the fuck up, this is like one of my favourite ever smiths songs and they are butchering it, mainly because of the guitarists lack of subtlety and the drummers lack of balls, smiths drummer mike joyce was a punk, he went on to play in the buzzcocks, he gave the band a raw edge which is lacking here, its like muzak
That guitarist... well basically I agree with everything you said. Horrible rendition of one of the best Smiths songs. It's like Morrissey decided to throw in a song that wasn't on their set-list and that guitarist only knew that one riff from the song, so he just kept playing it over and over. It gets old really fast.

uh, i don't really love the guitar at all when Morrissey's singing...too twangy...but it does calm down a little during the chorus.

Too much lead guitar. The genius of Marr is he knows when to play lead and when to play rythym. But then again there's only one Johnny Marr

i admmit it Marr is better than boorer

Boz Boorer is not johnny marr. hes Boz Boorer. he has his own style and i quite like the rock-n-roll sound he adds to the song.
