Thanks for the quick response i worked in the maintenance control section in the cling ladle shop and was reponsible for setting up the maintenance on the torpedoes until coming to Australia in 1972
I worked at bsc when the torpedo ladles first arrived about 1970 i thonk they were 200t. These look a bit like the originals does anyone know if they are?
for those in the know and they know who they are not a nice place to be when one of these beauties blow out especially when it takes out another torp and a Loco to boot safety out of the window
nope, we had one split its guts while on the pouring station a few months back.. wasnt very nice running as fast as you can with molten metal pouring around you from the gantry.. plant was shutdown for 6 days due to that.
Thank fuck i work in the cold mill for now lol
but still packing coils is fucking hard work

Any idea how much Iron those babies hold?
WE have some - smallest hold 250 tonnes the biggest hold 350 tonnes each.
