  • I'm just about to hatch khaki Campbell ducks, yours are beautiful!

  • Is it true that khakis will not hatch out their own young?

  • @bradg674 Sorry, I don't check this enough. It seemed like all the ducks used the same nest. And one duck would sit on it. I couldn't tell if it was the same duck all the time. The eggs didn't hatch. Not sure why. She didn't stay on the nest all the time. And they weren't even a year old yet. Don't know if either of those things had anything to do with it.

  • @cantrell1973 well if u didn't have a male....

  • @SuperDacooldude Hi, Super. It was five females and one male.

  • Are these all female or do you have one drake in there? Ours are 5 weeks old and I still can't tell what they are!

  • @watchnwaitn

One is a drake, but at that point--approximately three months--I couldn't tell any of them apart.

  • Do ducks need water all the time or is having almost constant acess to a small water filled tub the size of this one or larger ok too?

  • @0coolie0

In my limited experience, I find this much water isn't absolutely necessary. As long as they always have clean drinking water and are able to dunk their heads so they can keep their eyes clean and bills clear of mud. But I like to keep a pool filled for them also. They can keep their whole bodies clean and clear of mites and whatnot. And because they LOVE it.

  • cute! i love this kind of duck!
