And on the packaging, if you look at the truck more closely, it's really the Voyager Optimus picture, not the Ultimate one. You can tell by the color, and cybertronium designs on it.

I have to agree with you on the little available movement in Jet-Thing mode. And the size comparison as well, but if you use the first movie Optimus, the trailer kind-a works with it. Just remove the weapon form the bottom and set it aside, and connect the two. It makes a real good display on a shelf if you get it right.

I just got this for my 8 year old for Christmas and after fidgeting with it for about 45 minutes and watching this video which helped a lot I've realized that just because it says 5+ doesnt mean its true. the level 3 difficulty is defiantly not lieing. The first time you put it together I defiantly recommend an adult helping with it. Over all as long as my boy doesn't want to transform it too often I think its a good toy just more complicated than it really needed to be.

I did find him @ Walmart for $45 bucks on black friday, so I snatched him up.

I took your advise @ used Leader Class Optimus in truck mode of course, [1st Movie] drilled out the trailer hitch, [1/4''] and now the trailer fits with out modding the kibble underneath it and it looks pretty good in this form so it's do-able for me.

Yeah I definitly agree with you about this toy. I don't even have it, but just from looking at it in the stores, screen shots, etc...it just didn't look very good. In fact, that's my opinion of the entire DotM toyline, with a few exceptions. Everything just seems kinda downgraded from the RotF toyline...really makes me regret not buying a RotF Optimus when I had the chance :/ Maybe I'll be able to find one on eBay or somethin'...anyway, cool review.
