Yeah it's really sad.. rap wasn't always about selling drugs and glorifying violence. Real rap is poetry- think Tupac, who was a social activist and tried to show people through his music that a better way of life was possible. He wanted to better his community. Rappers need to have a coherent message, other than "I make lots of money, I'll kill you and your family." Music can be an instrument of social change if you use your brain!
