The plan of salvation is different all through the Bible. Unfortunately for Christians a duty to be honest is not part of the deal. Only loyalty matters. I have studied it extensively. Shall we also go back to the Roman Catholic Church since "justification by faith alone" wasn't being emphasized until Martin Luther and the other reformers came along in the 1500's? Apostle Paul taught the Rapture in 1 Thess. 4:17-2000 years ago.
Prov. 10:30 really has no bearing on this discussion of the rapture. It simply means that the righteous will never waver or slip. (Strong's concordance 4131). In 1 Thess 4:17 the word "caught" in Greek is "harpazo" (strong's 726) meaning to "seize by force". Hope this is helpful.

this is the kjv, "we shall not all sleep" this means we shall not all be in the grave, or be in a dead body. when the lord comes we who are alive will be changed, taken out of our bodies and caught up with the Lod in the air. the bodies will be left behind. the Lord promised us a new body. There's no Pre Tribulation Rapture folks, this was a heresy that was introduced into the church well over 100 years ago by a girl who had a vision about Jesus coming back for the church before the final trumpet. This was quickly spread by church leaders and became accepted false teaching over time.

This false doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture is going to cause MANY to fall away when it doesn't happen. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 2 Thessalonians 2 and others. The dead must be resurrected FIRST, the living in NO WAY precede them. Jesus and Paul say the living are resurrected AT HIS COMING. COMING in Greek is Parousia and means:coming to be present, visible, physical, to set up the kingdom. Research this in Strongs. Those martyred during the tribulation are in the FIRST resurrection.

God was talking about physical death and Adam and Eve did die physically.Remember, to God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years a day (Psalms and 2Peter).Adam and Eve died BEFORE the first 1000 years/day was up. This becomes clear when Paul tells us that just like in Adam ALL men die so in Christ ALL will be made alive.Even Jesus died physically like Adam.BUT just like Jesus(who Paul calls the second Adam)all will be made ALIVE, but each in his own turn, meaning their resurrection.
By adding up the ages of each man from Adam throughout Genesis and adding up the years of different captivities, we know that, according to scripture, the earth is nearing the END of the 6th day/6000 years. Remember the 7th day is a Sabbath rest. Jesus will rule the 7th DAY/1000 years and the earth will be at peace during that Sabbath rest. He will come relatively soon. The FALSE messiah will come FIRST and eventually claim He is God in the rebuilt Jewish temple. When he does, don't believe him.

Xians justifying the horrible acts written in the legends of their God is a full time job. I know that I was often bothered by the things God did when I was still A christian. Ultimately, Christians will have to approve of God destroying the whole earth and billions and billions of humans being tortured in the worst agony FOREVER! I hate to be sardonic but how come God did not give out his 1000yr=day formula during this story? I'm not sure how much they knew from the beginning as far as how many years would pass. Remember, some lived close to 1000 years of age in the beginning. Paul said that in the tribulation he saw a number that he could not even count, as of the sand, that had washed their robes white with the blood of the lamb. The true Christians will be taken out of the way so that the anti-Christ can be revealed but not the Holy Spirit. God is everywhere all the time. The plan of salvation is different all through the Bible. Unfortunately for Christians a duty to be honest is not part of the deal. Only loyalty matters. No matter what God says or does stick with him. that is Christianity. So while you may not be as lucky as me and get to leave your bronze age faith behind. I have studied it extensively. Shall we also go back to the Roman Catholic Church since "justification by faith alone" wasn't being emphasized until Martin Luther and the other reformers came along in the 1500's? Apostle Paul taught the Rapture in 1 Thess. 4:17-2000 years ago.

Prov. 10:30 really has no bearing on this discussion of the rapture. It simply means that the righteous will never waver or slip. (Strong's concordance 4131). In 1 Thess 4:17 the word "caught" in Greek is "harpazo" (strong's 726) meaning to "seize by force". Hope this is helpful.

@wordisright The word "rapture" is of Latin origin for the words "caught up" in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 (originally written in Greek and then translated into the Latin Vulgate by the R. Catholic church.) It is only the beginning of the 2nd coming of Christ. Those have refused the gospel, and are therefore left behind will go through the 7 year tribulation under the delusion of the antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:11) ,receiving his mark, 666 and will ultimately be cast into Hell (Rev. 14:9-11)

there are some serious myths and misconceptions about the second coming of christ. noone is going to dissappear, the bodies we live in now are going to drop dead. god is not gathering up the clay pots, just our souls and spirits. scripture tells us that every man has an appointment with death, if we didn't die at the coming thn god would be a liar, and he isn't. those that don't believe there will be a rapture should read matt. 24:39-44, and 1 thess. 4:16-18.

this is the kjv, "we shall not all sleep" this means we shall not all be in the grave, or be in a dead body. when the lord comes we who are alive will be changed, taken out of our bodies and caught up with the Lod in the air. the bodies will be left behind. the Lord promised us a new body. If you remember God said he buried moses in the desert, but later moses appeared to jesus. why would God bury his body and then take it back out of the ground to take him to heaven?

The only thing misleading is those people who rejected the gospel prior to the rapture get a second chance but have to, of course, die at the hands of the antichrist government. 2 Thess 2:11seems to indicate those will be sent a strong delusion so they believe the lie of the antichrist and will then be condemned. This is not funny!

I'd also like to add that anyone worried about losing airline pilots to the Rapture should be more worried about losing the air traffic controllers. This false doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture is going to cause MANY to fall away when it doesn't happen. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, 2 Thessalonians 2 and others. The dead must be resurrected FIRST, the living in NO WAY precede them. Jesus and Paul say the living are resurrected AT HIS COMING. COMING in Greek is Parousia and means:coming to be present, visible, physical, to set up the kingdom. Research this in Strongs. Those martyred during the tribulation are in the FIRST resurrection.

No, it's Satan who's a monster. God created a perfect world and Satan deceived man into disobeying God(which is sin). The penalty for sin is death. Satan knew that and was trying to purposely murder the creation God loved. God is just so He couldn't simply change the penalty for sin (death). Instead, God became flesh, dwelt among us, lived a sinless life (innoccent blood) and then died in our place, the innoccent for the guilty. He promises to save all who repent and come to Him. God was talking about physical death and Adam and Eve did die physically.Remember, to God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years a day (Psalms and 2Peter).Adam and Eve died BEFORE the first 1000 years/day was up. This becomes clear when Paul tells us that just like in Adam ALL men die so in Christ ALL will be made alive.Even Jesus died physically like Adam.BUT just like Jesus(who Paul calls the second Adam)all will be made ALIVE, but each in his own turn, meaning their resurrection.

By adding up the ages of each man from Adam throughout Genesis and adding up the years of different captivities, we know that, according to scripture, the earth is nearing the END of the 6th day/6000 years. Remember the 7th day is a Sabbath rest. Jesus will rule the 7th DAY/1000 years and the earth will be at peace during that Sabbath rest. He will come relatively soon. The FALSE messiah will come FIRST and eventually claim He is God in the rebuilt Jewish temple. When he does, don't believe him.

I'm not sure how much they knew from the beginning as far as how many years would pass. Remember, some lived close to 1000 years of age in the beginning. To them, it would have only seemed like 6 generations before the redeemer would come. We know Enoch (Noah's granddad)prophesied about the redeemer coming in the distant future.(Interesting side note: Enoch named his son "Lamech" which means "when he dies it will come". Lamech was Noah's dad. When Lamech died, the flood came.

I did the math:
187 +182 + 600 = 969 years
Methusaleh was 187 when Lamech was born.
Lamech was 182 when Noah was born.
Noah was 600 when the flood came.
The age of Methusaleh was 969 years when he died which is the year the flood came.
Also, Paul does quote/refer to Jesus words in 1Thessalonians 4:15. Paul says: "According to the Lord's own words...."

2 "and the dead...shall rise first" = the Resurrection
3 "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up" = the Rapture
Conclusion - the Rapture occurs SIMULTANEOUSLY with the 2nd Coming and the Resurrection.
It is NOT 7 yrs before the 2nd Coming.
It is NOT 1,007 yrs before the Resurrection.
There is ONLY ONE Resurrection at the END of the "Millennium". (1Cor 15:23-26)

There is need to argue with people interpreting the scriptures differently, we may never agree. What is important is being ready for the rapture no matter when it happens. I love this video it is a bit old but it get it point across. Technology changed but so what. Be ready for in such a hour you think not the son of man cometh!

krylator... sorry but the rapture a portrayed by this vid is not in the bible...only the erroneous interpretation started by a couple of guys from the UK in the 1820s....google edwards and darby for the REAL STORY...why would you believe something less than 200 years old... this myth started the same time the mormon church did (one had nothing to do with the other of course )

God KNOWS the future, the past and the present...He is outside of time... but He does not CREATE the future and i never stated that He did... that came from your confused way of thinking
