Instead of regular singing you get a series of speech intonations and still it sounds like music. How can this be? JMJ is realy amazing in his ability to create music out of sounds.

Great! Really don´t know your record-player but this was the first CD I´ve ever bought! Still love it but I prefer listen to the original CD than to some youtubedownsamplingmusic. Anyway *Thums up!" I also own the Vinyl, for shure! ´ll do a Video-response ;-) Just give me two years...
Our childhood is coming back with this track. I felt as when I was a little kid; lost in a world I didn't understood. The wet eyes, the reassuring warm voice of the mother, the strange and frithening world of the adults around me...
@0x51d Yahoo translation offers this; it gives you the gist of what fanchette122 was saying, at least...
"not and in more you installations well nicely the 33 turns on your turntable (the same one as mine) and you position the arm of the record player on the second piece of the face has which is my preferred piece and which s' call Diva….thank you d' to have filmed the record player"
I remember I bought my first Jarre album with the money I was planning to use for my sister's christmas present...also bought myself another joystick. Can't remember what I got her
As well as ethnicolor this piece is so inventive and sensitive.
Outside of the new technicity for the times (fairlight), this piece put the listenner in its first memories of life; when the warm mother voice was healing fears his pains (first part) and playing with joy (second) using words that can't be undertood by a baby
Man ! What a great album ! Zoolook is such a jewel of creativity, maybe my favourite album from Jarre. Diva is not my favourite track from this album. Though it is one of his best. His award on year 1985 for the best instrumental album is highly deserved !!
I remember first hearing Zoolook when I was about five or six. The first part of Diva scared the crap out of me; even today I usually skip over to the second part, which is awesomely weird. I always wonder what people hearing this album now for the first time would think, it must sound bizarre...
Me too! I have all the original Polydor Vinyls (Oxygene, Equinox, Magnetic Field, Zoolook, etc.) Actually; Oxygene is one of my first records ever (back in the 70's)
Me gusta el inicio

Amazing song and album.
I can't imagine how Jarre managed to arrange this album with a Fairlight sampler.
It's the craziest technical record ever !
Don't forget to mention Marcus Miller at the bass line.

@knightky Oh, man, I realized that the bass line is astonishing. I did not know that Marcus the almighty is the bassist. Thanks for letting us know.
