    ._.

  • Instead of regular singing you get a series of speech intonations and still it sounds like music. How can this be? JMJ is realy amazing in his ability to create music out of sounds.

  • supersong

  • esta tiene hueso

  • EU TAMBÉM TINHA QUE TRABALHAR MUITO PARA IMPORTAR DOS EUA DOS DISCOS DO JARRE QUE ERAM CONSIDERADOS POR MUITOS MÚSICA DO DIABO AQUI NO BRASIL COMO EM TODO O MUNDO AINDA EXISTE DISCRIMINAÇÃO. DEPOIS JARRE SE APRESENTOU NUM SHOW DE FINAL DE ANO DA REDE GLOBO DE TELEVISAO PARA FECHAR A BOCA DOS RADICAIS.. JARRE ASSIM COMO JEAN LUC PONTY FORAM FUNDAMENTAIS À MINHA FORMAÇÃO MUSICAL, ENTRE TANTOS FRANCESES ILUSTRES. CLARO QUE SUA INFLUENCIA VAI MUITO ALÉM DA MÚSICA CLÁSSICA OU PROGRESSIVA!

  • Weird as it can be...damn...

  • Awesome video for an awesome melody. Cheers!

  • Beppe plays this at 45!

  • well don 0x51d from villa alemana chile

  • Used to weight train to zoolook , you can imagine the looks on peoples faces , it added a touch of intensity to the training you will be hard pushed to find in any other music , class act which is hard to follow

Wooloomooloo being my favourite for a hard quad blast

  • what this is about I don't know but I love it and the wierd feeling I get when listening to it

  • great idea to play song from vinyl and show it as video! well done! I love this tune and JMJ is my inspiration! :)

  • ...words have no meanings anyway; hear and feel this music, it lives inside you but you didn't know that until you heard it!

    Quel artiste!

  • Is the singer for the middle part Laurie Anderson?

  • @rpresser: Oh yes.

  • @rpresser absolutely

  • Nice transition of record covers bettween the 2 "chapters" of the track. Powerpoint wouldn't do better :D

  • Great! Really don´t know your record-player but this was the first CD I´ve ever bought! Still love it but I prefer listen to the original CD than to some youtubedownsamplingmusic. Anyway *Thums up!" I also own the Vinyl, for shure! ´ll do a Video-response ;-) Just give me two years...

  • Our childhood is coming back with this track. I felt as when I was a little kid; lost in a world I didn't understood. The wet eyes, the reassuring warm voice of the mother, the strange and frithening world of the adults around me...

  • open your head and let the sound in

  • I love listening to this track late at night..

  • "Most már örülök,hogy haza..." : )

  • @BV7814 akkor ezek szerint nem csak én flesselem bele.. :)

  • @salamander462 Jaja,ez tuti,hogy valahonnan belekerült ,mint egzotikus nyelvű szöveg...: )

  • Jarre: A musical pioneer!

  • Jarrè is a genius

  • One of my favourite JMS song. thanks

  • @fanchette122: I don't speak French so I'm not sure what you're saying, except that you asked for Diva. It's here: /watch?v=fWLhbzVfWfg

  • @0x51d Yahoo translation offers this; it gives you the gist of what fanchette122 was saying, at least...

"not and in more you installations well nicely the 33 turns on your turntable (the same one as mine) and you position the arm of the record player on the second piece of the face has which is my preferred piece and which s' call Diva….thank you d' to have filmed the record player"

  • Od 3:35 jest fajne.

  • I remember I bought my first Jarre album with the money I was planning to use for my sister's christmas present...also bought myself another joystick. Can't remember what I got her

  • @mang0mang0mang0: Nothing? ;)

  • @mang0mang0mang0

    lol ! funny that

  • I kyo taramaa zekieemaataa zhenomuu natikwee!

(a sentence in a language 'spoken' in the Arcturian civilization).

  • As well as ethnicolor this piece is so inventive and sensitive.

Outside of the new technicity for the times (fairlight), this piece put the listenner in its first memories of life; when the warm mother voice was healing fears his pains (first part) and playing with joy (second) using words that can't be undertood by a baby

  • Man ! What a great album ! Zoolook is such a jewel of creativity, maybe my favourite album from Jarre. Diva is not my favourite track from this album. Though it is one of his best. His award on year 1985 for the best instrumental album is highly deserved !!

  • wonderful track, zoolook is my fave JMJ album. big fan of laurie too.

  • halalalo!

  • omg this is fuckin kreepy!!!

  • I remember first hearing Zoolook when I was about five or six. The first part of Diva scared the crap out of me; even today I usually skip over to the second part, which is awesomely weird. I always wonder what people hearing this album now for the first time would think, it must sound bizarre...

  • @BlueLightning1 lol ethnicolor is way more freakier, i used to have crazy nightmares as a kid because of ethnicolor

  • @BlueLightning1: I first heard this when I was about 15. My reaction was simply "WTF!?"

  • cool visual effect when the sleeve rotates,,, how did you do that? lol

  • Un must de trouvailles d'ingeniosité...

    du grand art, merci jmj

  • excellent

  • My old man had this on CD, back in the late '80's. Touch it on penalty of death.

  • Wonderful !!!

  • Amazing track! Is that a SL1200 turning?

  • Yes it is.

  • @DJGahann Do you know any other tables?;)

  • @atzenanu Seriously speaking? Nah :-D

  • Hey ... you done a good video! but...when I get back my vinyl?...XDD

    5*****

  • nyaa!!!

    i love this song!!

    xDD

  • Amazing song and album.

I can't imagine how Jarre managed to arrange this album with a Fairlight sampler.

It's the craziest technical record ever !

Don't forget to mention Marcus Miller at the bass line.

  • @knightky Oh, man, I realized that the bass line is astonishing. I did not know that Marcus the almighty is the bassist. Thanks for letting us know.

  • fantastic world of JMJ

    Congratulations for DIVA!!!!!

  • The true vinyl! WOW!

  • I have it. Under licence of Polydor, RTB Records - Yugoslavia. But I do not have phonograph :)

  • Me too! I have all the original Polydor Vinyls (Oxygene, Equinox, Magnetic Field, Zoolook, etc.) Actually; Oxygene is one of my first records ever (back in the 70's)

  • the best electronic album of the 80's... my fav track from zoolook is woloomolooloo...

  • fucking scary ! like a mad lesson... amazing !

  • amazing.. my eyes cry

  • Laurie Anderson did the vocals.
