VERY cool!...Larry Fast, eat your heart out! So compact and easy to move, why, it's in it's own shipping case! Unlike the mighty Modular MOOG and sounds just as good. What do YOU think, Piglet?
absolutely. Now that's what i've been talking about Space opera Thanks got my inter dimensional portals expanding and accelerated me into consciously cosmically exploring. Thanks Wow!
This sat unworking at Oberlin from 1986-90 when I was there. I always thought it looked awesome. Today is the first time I ever heard it. I think it sounds like early digital - but in a fantastic way. Love the interface.
This synth and other rare one of a kind instruments should be lovingly restored and no longer be forgotten as dusty relics. Machines like the Electronium and Mixture Tratonium should not be left silent any longer. Thank you for uploading this video.
I bought a CD with Harald Genzmer's Concerto for Orchestra and Mixturtrautonium Solo (played by Oskar Sala himself) a few weeks ago. It's absolutely amazing how expressive this instrument is in the hands of a true master.
Doepfer makes and sells modules (with a special ribbon controller) so you can build your own Mixturtrautonium.
This machine currently resides in the electronic music studio at my school (Oberlin). It's no longer functional, but it sure is fun to look at and try to imagine what all those buttons and levers did.

they arent dusty relicts, they have so many fans over the world, that for young musicians like me they are much too expensive....
