Can somebody tell me what the difference is between the Touran and Sharan? They seem like the exact same car except for the exterior styling and engine choices, that is here in Japan. I'm about to get rid of my C class since I have a family. The Sharan is rather expensive compared to the Touran but it has bluemotion engine tech while the Touran does not. I like the styling on the Sharan far more, and want it but don't know what the extra price is going to beside engine tech.
@flatblackstrat sharan is longer, wider, has sliding doors, bigger boot space. Whynot just go to VW website and do compare on the two?????(as you can with the UK site). But then some of the spec is different in different countries. Oh and as you said the price of Sharan is much more. (In uk some suggest getting the Seat Alhambra - almost identical by cheaper version).
@utubeniteowl Yeah I went to the website already and have the numbers which don't tell half the story of a car. Seat has no presence in Japan. I just wondering mostly about utility, ease of parking, reliability, drive dynamics among other things.
At least this can easily accommodate 7 tall adults more comfortably than the old one and has a little bit of space behind the 7 seats;the old one was useless in that it wasn't as spacious 3rd row and the heavy bulky seats had to be removed for carrying stuff.
when i look at my sharan i want to see a sharan...not to put it near a golf or a touareg and see THE SAME CAR :| ...and it has a bit of touran in it...the back especially
@Twixx32 in essence, obviously, not in material form :| omg, but after tima passes people will get used to the new style of the wv company, or you can call it AUDI-looking VW or VW looking like AUDI :-S, at least the ford galaxy kept it's personality although it looks very musc like the sharan or the sharan looks like it, either way you think it, btw the past models shared the same platform an many specs, but you would know that ^^
