  • I LOVE the color of your gravel...the charcoaly color and the fact that it looks almost like marine gravel. Can you tell me where you bought it? I have freshwater tank with neons only and i think that color gravel would highlight their color. I currently have tan river gravel that i don't like. thanks!

  • @DejaVusee Thanks. I picked the gravel up at my local fish store. they no longer carry it though.

  • very nice set up!

  • i just got my new 55 gallons with sands(black-white) for cichlid. i washed the sand like 5-6 times. after 2-3 hours, its still cloudy. what is the best way to make the water clean? reply please

  • i LOVE SMALL FISH! It adds more to the size and dept

  • I fucking hate you!

You make me so jealous- that is one beautiful tank man. Did you copy someone elses idea or just been creative? i want some good ideas with my tank. im only a beginner. that tree trunk thing, is it alive or is it fake?

    fantastic lighting by-the-way.

  • Just thought I may sound like a dick in my below comment.

The tank itself looks outstanding, I hope I can get mine looking half as good, it's just the size of the fish make it seem empty and going to waste.

  • @sean91LFC

No problem at all.. I completly agree!!

This video was taken soon after the background was installed.

The fish that were in then tank were only small. While the cardinals did not get much bigger, the Rotkeil severums did. Making the tank look much more filled.

  • You must have about 20-30 tetras there aswel as a few others but as long as you only have small fish then a tank that size will always look empty and not used to it's full potential.

I'm getting a 330 liter corner tank in about a week and I couldn't put tiny fish in it. I'll be getting a couple big oscars, maybe a catfish, pleco, demsey?

Not guppies and tetras, leave those in my 60 liter :)

  • Can you give as an updated on how well this background is doing? Any problems with leeching?

  • Wow! Amazing Aquascaping.

  • This is outstanding!!!!

  • gotta say thats one of thee most beautiful fish tank i have seen on youtube

  • @reptilefan9000

    WOW... thank you very much!!!

  • is that sand or gravel? whats the name of it?

  • @sofujun

That is a black sand. It is made by Hagen.

  • Excellent...great work!!

  • very very very nice due

  • very nice!!

  • I like it. Would love to see it in a marine tank with some good corals.

  • i would pay you to make me background like that!!!! what kind of sand is that? and can u please put a vid up on how u did it...! very nice

  • can i use a DIY background in a marine tank?????

  • @youngpo47

Yes, this background is made from fibreglass

  • @uarujoey looks fuking amazing

  • OMG......love ur tank..awesome job!!!! Lights,background killer....what size tank?...thnx 4 posting :)

  • i cant see the fish..xD

  • blue moon light kils fish

  • @airbusa1

Id really have to disagree with you on that one.

These LEDs are running at 420nm of the visable light spectrum of the sun. Nothing harmless in that spectrum.

  • Wow nice one u got there

  • Dammm its really nice

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you everyone... i will put together a video of how this was done. With a step by step. You'll be surprised by just how easy this was.... stay tuned!

  • How did you make that? Looks awsome! nice work.

  • Very nice!!!!!!!XD

  • That is a beast of a tank man! Awesome! It's awesome how it is but I think if you add 5 or 6 black skirts then it would look phenomenal.

  • @FreezeProduct

Yes, i made this myself. Thank you!

  • Very nice tank! Please, explain how you make background.

  • pretty sweet

  • its stunning dont listen to the half breeds on here who dis ya ,theyre only jelous

  • what did you use to make it?

  • what did you use to make it?

  • in my opinion, little bit too much of the color blue.

  • thats amazing !!

  • COOOOL

  • I love this.... Im thinking of doing something similar to my 75 gal bow front.... any suggestions.

  • The video is to just show the background i created,.... nothing more... Thanks for viewing anyway.

  • @gforce1uk grow up

  • @gforce1uk be quite!!

  • what is this fish tnx

  • in blue color thanx

  • They are cardinal tetras...

  • Where did you get your bacground its so niece please sahre it, I have also a 90 gallon aquarium

  • I made it myself.

  • @uarujoey no way with what.

  • This was one of my very few "decorated" tanks... majority are all bare bottom, no decoration at all... basically holding tanks like you mentioned.

  • OH MY GOD! THATS BEAUTIFUL!! HOLY SHIT

  • Thanks!

  • I just wanted to know: How many gallons is your tank?

  • This tank was a 90 gallon, corner bowfront .

  • oh i seee now i wasnt looking to closley you have a beauful tank cajn the fish go behind the stump?

  • no they cannot. I made it so the stump would conseal all of the filtration and heating, but not allow any fish behind it. There are small screens between each root and that is where the water enters the filter.

  • beautiful fish i think you should but some chicleds in there like oscars or flowerhorns

  • There are cichlids in there. I had 6 small Rotkeil severums in there.

  • woah! how do you make that!

  • @aliceresource

It is a fibreglass casting... the mold was made with styrofoam.

  • Cool! I like how the smaller fish give a more massive appearance to the tree stump ~

  • very nice! its a very clean tank too! might could use a few more plants here and there or a few small parts of log, in my opinion

  • I like the Neon tetras! Nice Job!

  • fantastic!

  • WOW! Spectacular

  • Stunning! I Made a Background for my vivarium. You should check it out if u want :). I bet its harder to make a background for a Aquarium for fish.

  • amazing...

  • plants are live

  • what sise tank is that???

  • 92 gallon

  • you should have bigger fish in a huge tank like that

  • A 92 gallon in my opinion is not a huge tank... small-medium is more accurate. But i get what your saying.

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • Im constantly scoping out sides of the roads when I'm driving trying to find uprooted small trees just so I can get my tank to look like this. Sigh...I envy you man.

  • amazing concept ! great job

  • SUPER DUPER !!!!! WOW

  • standing ovation....

  • What color substrate did you mix to achieve that color? Also, what color is your lighting?

  • the substrate is a black sand. no mix. the lighting is T5HO power-glo bulbs.

  • So you made the tree roots yourself out of fiberglass? I'm planning on painting the back of my 40gal. black real soon. I'm hoping I don't regret it lol. I think the tree roots look fine the color it is.

  • that lookes so natural

  • i agree with "flipgyore" you should upload a DIY video... very cool aquarium ....i love the black background

  • WOW That is truly amazing. You are so creative, I have never seen something like this.

More grass more grass more grass haha

  • I agree with flipgyore, a darker tree and live plants would make it even better than what it is. On the other hand, very unique, very clean, very cool. Great job! The black sand and black backing make your fish stand out nicely, hence why we agree on a darker tree color. Five out of five man!

  • its made of fibreglass

  • What is the skeleton of it? Ive been wanting to make something like tree roots....

  • it is much darker in person. the camera i used makes it look much brighter than it is.

  • Just watched it in HD and maybe those are real plants - anyway, a darker, natural coloration would be awesome on the tree roots!

  • Nice job, you should post a DIY video on how you made it.

But dude, your background screams for dark brown coloration and some live plants - it would be awesome!
