Banks gather large sums from us (Via interest rates, Loan fees, government) and other sources, they also charge fees for improved accounts (Makes perfect sense, those willing to pay get more). You take a loan, you repay that loan...Its common sense.

The attorney can simply use an affiliate attorney in the debtors home state to file suit. Also not all law suits are filed in the defendants home state. Many are filed in the state of the plaintiff. If people put half the effort into paying their bills as they do into trying to dodge responsibility for the debt they run up the deadbeats bills would not be passed on to everyone else in the form of higher fees and interest. Anybody on a jury in a debt collection case would do well to remember that
Here's a thought, Try paying your bills. Bad credit = high interest rates or no loan at all + difficult finding a place to live and more and more often, inability to find a job as employers increasingly run credit checks on prospective employees.

They can be old unpaid hospital bills, cell phone bills, apartment complex's looking for unpaid rent, judgments, or any piece of credit that has gone over 30, 60, 90, 120 days late. usually when an account goes over 120, the account may be listed as a charge off. NOTE THIS DOESN'T MEAN YOU DON'T OWE THE DEBT ANYMORE.. usually charge off's are sent to attorneys for collection and legal.

I understand college kids looking to pay the bills until they graduate and secure a real job doing collections for a short time, however its the grown adults that do this for a living that boggles the mind. It wasn't MY company, but I managed a mine belonging to Perseverance Mining, we had plenty of debt defaulters and in 18 years, I only lost out on one that i remember, and we'd get that back too if he is resurrected.

You see I look at it from the point of view of "I owe money, I pay the outstanding money back" not "No I won't pay money I owe". I also cannot blame the collector for his attitude, the bloke was just being a cunt towards him.
Banks gather large sums from us (Via interest rates, Loan fees, government) and other sources, they also charge fees for improved accounts (Makes perfect sense, those willing to pay get more). You take a loan, you repay that loan...Its common sense.

My view on the world economy? I don't have one because I (Apparently unlike you) have yet to be touched by the hand of God and shown the light and the fact that no Economists can agree on anything is also a factor.
My view on Banks? Personally, I don't mind them nor do I call foul bloody murder whenever my finances didn't go my way. I give them as little reason as I can to pay me any heed. I pay my taxes and I repay any loans I have taken including any interest.

The attorney can simply use an affiliate attorney in the debtors home state to file suit. Also not all law suits are filed in the defendants home state. Many are filed in the state of the plaintiff. If people put half the effort into paying their bills as they do into trying to dodge responsibility for the debt they run up the deadbeats bills would not be passed on to everyone else in the form of higher fees and interest. Anybody on a jury in a debt collection case would do well to remember that

They can be old unpaid hospital bills, cell phone bills, apartment complex's looking for unpaid rent, judgments, or any piece of credit that has gone over 30, 60, 90, 120 days late. usually when an account goes over 120, the account may be listed as a charge off. NOTE THIS DOESN'T MEAN YOU DON'T OWE THE DEBT ANYMORE.. usually charge off's are sent to attorneys for collection and legal.

debt collectors are flees that made the choice collections was a step up from telemarketing. I understand college kids looking to pay the bills until they graduate and secure a real job doing collections for a short time, however its the grown adults that do this for a living that boggles the mind. I worked collections in college and met some of the biggest losers ever. It was to embarrasing to continue.

Those wankers sit in the call centre trying to scare people with empty threats and lies, like bailiffs will kick down your door etc.
If it's something where you might be blacklisted then you can just wait till it's passed back to the actual company and make a deal with them directly.

I'm definitely not a business owner, I have been retired since I was in my 40s, and live off the income from my licenced designs which I developed as a hobby when I did have a job.

No they collect in person. It seems that it takes little to confuse you, but then again, that does not surprise me.
It wasn't MY company, but I managed a mine belonging to Perseverance Mining, we had plenty of debt defaulters and in 18 years, I only lost out on one that i remember, and we'd get that back too if he is resurrected.
As for loaning you money. I wouldn't loan you the steam off my crap to warm your porridge on a cold, cold morning.
