Deftones were a nu metal band with a few rap metal influences in a few of their songs..Nothing more than that :)

I first saw them in 95 and caught them maybe 6-7 times in clubs that didnt hold more than 100 people or so. Absolutely incredible. Yelling wipe did into the mic with Chino, having a beer with the guys while the other acts are on, etc. Not only are tehse guys a great band, but cool as hell too. I would love to go back and do that again. Although I guess I have sort of. Shared a fifth of jack with the lead singer of He is Legend last year (if you havent heard em, check em out). Lata!
