@ samstterhamstteer - they're not solid black. They have white feet,white-tipped tails and white on their chests. Solid black ones are out there but not as easy to find. And yes they are purebred. j/s

@ Itachi7590- I have a pinto Akita and he's my life. I have many friends who own Akitas as well. Yes Akitas were used to hunt bear but they hunt in pairs and did not kill the bear, they kept it at bay for the hunters to shoot. J/s
I have two Akitas and they would give their lives for me. Amazingly courageous and loyal breed. But before anyone goes out and gets one, do your research and be prepared to put in time and money. Without proper training they can be very aggressive towards people and other dogs. If you can't handle them, they can be a liability.
The Akita needs alot of attention and time spent with. If your not able to, don't get one. Best friend I have is my Akita, adopted 8 years ago. She is 10 now, cost me $325 for getting her fixed and shots. Best thing that happened was getting her.
There are lots of akita rescues who have akitas for adoption. I work with akita rescue to save and rehome akitas into loving homes. While you can get a puppy almost anytime, it's not everyday you get the honor of saving a life. Please support responsible breeding, breed education and akita rescue!

and I dodn't buy one (yet) and even if i did ,, these prices doesn't mean ripping off in my country..
