  • This is my favorite version of this song..better than the classic crooners..

  • Sounds like the legitimate successor to Tony B. Great job.

  • wow great cover

  • Great version.

  • Splendid job! I was born and raised in San Francisco.

  • I love that there are young crooners out there following in the footsteps of the greats.

  • Fantastic. You must have some talent in the US if this guy didn't win America's Got Talent! or didn't Simon like him??

  • Awesome!

    awe

  • (4 of 4) Laurie Armstrong, vice president, public relations of the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau said, "The song itself is a musical postcard from a place, San Francisco, which is known as 'Everybody's Favorite City.' Mr. Bennett's heartfelt performance delivers that postcard every time he sings it, whether it's heard in Paris, Prague or Phuket."

  • (3 of 4)The song has sold more than 14 million records, one million copies of sheet music in the U.S. and has been a huge commercial success oversease as well. The song writers, Cory and Cross, were honored with the Towering Song Award from The Songwriters Hall of Fame for Writing the song and they gave Bennett the Towering Performance Award for his timeless vocal rendition.

  • (2 of 4 ) Cross, the lyrics writer said, "We dug down to the bottom of our trunk and gave it to him." Tony performed it for the first time in 1962 at the Fairmont Hotel on Nob Hill in San Francisco, it quickly became Tony's signature song. The song reached the Top 5, went gold and the single of the record won Tony a Grammy Award for Record of the Year and Best Solo Vocal Performance, Male.

  • (1 of 4 ) Trivia Note: This song was written in 1954 by 2 then-unknown songwriters, George C. Cory, Jr. and Doublass Cross. Cory wrote the melody, Cross the lyrics. They approached Tony Bennett's pianist and musical director, Ralph Sharon, who was looking for new material for Tony to sing at the fabulous Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
