I would argue that the Lone Nut and the first follower are only ever successful at sparking a movement when the following conditions are met: 1) The lone nut must not be crossing the line of an acceptable social norm i.e. Dancing. 2) The lone nut and the first follower must exude charisma in order to inspire the crowd watching 3) The compelling offer: There always needs to be an incentive for participation i.e. the reward of being a part of something special or the fear/guilt of missing out
Give me a break..The lone nut is the most important person, not the second or the third. They are all replaceable, the first guy isn't. Wake up and give credit to the trail blazer your retards.
@earmata hence him stating if the lone nut is the flint, the first follower is the spark..... or said another way, the lone nut is the light bulb, the first follower is the light switch...
i understand what ur saying though, the action/idea is solely on the lone nut"... but what he is saying in this video is that the MOVEMENT is depenedant on the first follower. That a great idea means nothing if no one will stand up and follow.
this is the back of an outdoor Rave. they arent showing the other 3000 peole dancing in front of the house DJ. this video has been around for a while....it looks like theyre having a blast at that outdoor rave.
@bricefos I heard of some other people who became followers. They called themselves "abolitionists", "Sons of Liberty", "Friends of the ABC", "New Dealers", etc. The problem isn't leadership dynamics, the problem is a lack of moral introspection. The Nazis could not have risen had people examined Hitler's message and realized it was wrong.
And another thing God botherer's: this video shows that it wasn't 'Jesus the leader' who was the most important figure in christianity, but the 'first follower, St Paul' who disseminated the religion.
To my eyes, this is a lesson on How To Follow; DG wasnt' leading, he was simply following somebody else. The majority in this video are men and the attraction APPEARS to be men dancing with men.
Being a man who dances with women only, LEADership in my world looks different: 1. Learn how to dance 2. Build a confident lead. 3. Go to a dance and ask a woman to dance. 4. Show her a good time. 5. Rinse & Repeat.
When I express a confident lead, women who see & want that ask me to dance.
may God save all his children and love them everyone and give there more homos with brain or with out brains I will pray for you because who am I to judge is always flesh vs holy spirit amen
shut up u jesus freak. that bible u r reading was written by a homo king from england. do yerself a fav and read Mad magazine u willl get more out of it angelsandmentalpatient.
@UnKickabIe its because the camera holder is very far away from the group and probably in max zoom of his lense. if you've held a camera with a zoom lense, you'd understand my point. as for why the camera man did not approach to have a nearer shot, your guess is as good as mine.
yeah sucker them in and then fill their brains full of YOUR religion. i hope u burn in hell for trying to show people how to trick weak people, into Dancing off cliffs ,u fucking asshole. Burn in your own fake hell u donkey. i just wish i could see the look on your face when u hit the void . u wont know what to do . Hatred moves mountains, treachoury always wins over blind sheep . i hope u know u r a moron.FU. charlie
This needs a disclaimer....While it only takes a follower to start a movement if the first follower is following a shit head it is still only a bowel movement!!!
Man..I love observing crowd behavior. This is the pinnacle of crowd behavior. But, i still believe they were high on some shit. Or maybe its the high altitude.
@TheDeJureTour the guy won't go on O'Reilly because he knows he will be exposed for some of his retarded beliefs, so Ron Paul has no chance until he is ready to be a man and go toe to toe with O'Reilly.
Ron's been on O'reilly several times, he didn't go on O'reilly this past time because he had an interview with Lou Dobbs. O'reilly is a progressive, dobbs isn't. It was an obvious choice.
Stop accepting everything you hear on tv as the truth.
Derek -- what if the first follower is just told - follow or die -- by the leader -- then it' not leadership - it's dictatorship -- you miss entirely the "motive" of the first follower -- "Is he ridiculing the leader" - "Is he just confused or delusional?" - you can't claim anything of the first follower until you know the motives...
I think the first followers were up there to make fun of the shirtless dude and his crazy dancing. Time passes and others now see a small group dancing, and they soon join the foray. Soon there is a mob that is acting without any leadership stomping on the grass and blocking the view of others at the show. Yet, these people seek the mob only for their own benefit unbeknownst to them of the true intention of the pod. Go forth, lemmings...into the fire where you are welcomed with open arms...
Yes I was "sent here" by Jeff McBride. This video is also good for network marketers. Anyone in business can now feel more at ease that if your not the best leader yet, you can also be great as a first follower.
You're missing the point. The first guy is not the leader, the second one is. He´s the first to make fun of the shirtless guy who´s so drugged up that he probably doesnt even notice all the others jump on the bandwagon.
a signal (a boy dressed normally but with many notebooks in their hands has taken one of the shelves, saying nothing but offering these in the supermarket), lots of people passing in doubt, but when the first takes a notebook, the magic happens, everybody starts take it because they merely continue what he has done another without reason if logical or not they are doing, I think in this case, the first taking the notebook is a leader, but a leader who would not have to go!
This is a Great Video - Wow!!! It not only explains about Leaders & Followers but in another context shows how quickly the Body by Vi 90 Day Challenge is exploding across Canada and the USA. Join the Explosion! You are Your Teams LEADER
@pliskin100 Yes. Unfortunately you are right. Following does not teach us critical thinking Nor independence and does not help us overcome our inherent flaws such as social identity and cognitive dissonance. When your a follower sometimes you get a benevolent, positive & just leader and sometimes you get a sociopathic dictator or cult leader who has crafted a veneer to look benevolent.
@phrygian20 That's kind of stupid that you think following anything, regardless of what it is, is a bad thing. Judging by your thinly veiled stab at religion, i'm going to go ahead and say that you're either a hipster or a neck beard.
Critical thinking, in general, refers to higher-order thinking that questions assumptions. It is a way of deciding whether a claim is true, false, or sometimes true and sometimes false, or partly true and partly false. You should try it.
However, looking at all the negative comments on your channel from all the people that you have upset, it seems that you are a troll. Maybe even a paid troll. If not a paid troll then it’s a waist. You like to argue, why not become a lawyer?
@pliskin100@pliskin100 Amazing!!! The way your mind works. You interpreted my statement in such an absolute black or white sort of way. You interpreted my being critical of following, to mean that I think "following anything, regardless of what it is, is a bad thing" when the point I was making is to learn to think critically and not to BLINDLY follow. Critical thinking teaches us to question assumptions. Your interpretation of my statement was an assumption.
Thats how christianity started also.....and all I wanted is to stay sitting on the grass and enjoy the beautifull day, but then, out of nowhere, I'm beeing discriminated as an atheist !?!?!?!?!
@hypercub in reference to this video, there was no discrimination, the speaker said that those that didn't join in felt they would be ridiculed if they didn't join in, it wasn't said they were discriminated against. they chose to sit and watch, they weren't forced. anything they 'felt' was from themselves, not from outside 'forces'. stay on the grass, so what? if your atheism is real and you sincerely follow it, then what do you care who joins you or who doesn't? if you do care-why?
So funny and devine at the same time. And guy #3 has the best moves. I have a birds feather that I grabbed off that grass hill during a Toby mac concert 4 years ago. It's in my bible until the end.
@evelynrocks - This is from the Sasquatch Music Festival at the Gorge in Washington state. Fantastic festival if you get the chance to go there. Always a good time!
It's the first time I have heard or seen credit being given the first follower- its usually about the leader. Kudos! It will be great to do some in depth study/research on this don't you think?
But.... choose your nut carefully or you might follow the Head Lemming over the cliff.
