This past saturday, an old friend of mine died in a car accident. She was in love with her horses. There's a picture of her on her horse with her arms spread out, like she's flying. It's like this song was written for her. Brought tears to my eyes.
I wish i could have a horse i want to rescue all my horses when i get older from a shelter giving them second chances in life and learn to love humans again and forget about the cruelty they experienced!! :) im 12 and LOVE this song!!!

That is what I do : ) Maybe you can't ride, but what people don't realize is that these horses need someone to love them first, to help them gain back their trust in humans... and that is something much more special than being on their back.
I think this song is about a girl that wants to love a guy, but doesn't have the courage that a wild horse has to open up to him. She wants to be brave and courageous like wild horses so that she can tell him how she feels. That's just what I think.

For two years I had a horse, my whole world, my parents sold him due to money problems. Today at 4:57 pm I got home and saw him waiting here for me. God I cried to hard, immediately I thought of this song. I dedicate it to us. Even though my family isnt in the clear yet we have him back and thats all that matters.

I have recently brought the colt and filly he sired a few days b4 hisdeath.

@GlavTech Yet I find it funny that the second paragraph "I see the girl I want to be, riding bare back care free along the shore, if only that someone was me" It was also used in Flicka a horse movie and only one sentence says "I want to open up my heart and tell him how I feel" So its not about be scared of telling someone.
Not to mention the first paragraph having to also do with green pastures and again horses. REALISE BEFORE PUTTING SOMETHING STUPID UP!!!

@TheJingle11 Its a metaphor bro. "Riding Bare Back" means not caring about risk taking, but she can't be like that. It was used in flicka because the metaphor used to explain the theme is Horses, but the song isn't written about horses. Horses were just how she explained she wanted to be free.

When I was a little girl, I wanted a horse so badly. I would ask one for every birthday and I would crie when I listened to this song. Now I've had my own pony for 3 years. The best time of my life so far <3. Now i sold her and the meaning of this song has changed for me. For everyone who wants their own horse; I wish you all good luck! I dream of having one and this song expresses allot if onlyP.S i do not think owening a horse is everthging just being around one is enough just to have a chance to bond with one even if it was a foal and you could not ride one or one that can not be ridden I would not care

I dont think that these horse should be captured...Do they know they are capturing a spirit..Well that spirit should never be extinguished..When im older i am hopefully going to be a spokeswoman for horses everywhere and hopefully get enough money to rescue as many as i can <3

For two years I had a horse, my whole world, my parents sold him due to money problems. Today at 4:57 pm I got home and saw him waiting here for me. God I cried to hard, immediately I thought of this song. I dedicate it to us. Even though my family isnt in the clear yet we have him back and thats all that matters.

I love this song....I never heard it until a friend of mine that is in a music group with me asked me to sing it and I went home and I listened to it about a million times and fell right in love with it...so we sang it today at school......we both fell in love with the song.....thanks Casie for introducing me to an awesome song......
