  • How awesome! You will be missed Spanair!

  • Bye bye : (

  • Spanair closing today. It a pity. The economical situation spanish is not sopportable.

  • Spanair is best

  • finde ich cool

  • Kid at 0:12 is so cute

  • .......The actual luggage never arrived.

  • It would suck to be that one person that they forgot to give a gift to.

  • Marketing or not, same as the Coca-Cola truck, nice to watch.

  • This made me smile (-:

  • thats amazin :L

  • i gotta book a flight b4 Christmas and hope i get a present :)

  • 12 Grinches

  • For some reasons, I got teary-eyes.. =/

  • THESE IS EUROPE ! ! !

  • I almost cry.....

  • @nokutesu me too

  • Lacrimejei.

  • little and simple things like this put smiles on peoples' faces and they will remember. it's not that complicated to make your customers happy, airlines of the world.

  • So cheesy and so out of synch with the routine Spanair experience. Simply doing a gag inducing stunt for oine flight doesn't improve the customer experience

  • So cheesy and so out of synch with the routine Spanir experience

  • I loved it! this was just kind hearted... shame on you 11 people who disliked this.... get a heart....

  • Brilliant Marketing Spanair.

  • Aww, that was lovely!

  • it was a very nice gesture, regardless of whether or not marketing. I wish I had such a reception after spending Christmas Eve on a plane.

  • buenisima!

  • love it!!! awesome

  • Thats truly awesome.

  • i bet i'll never get that

  • Yeah, very nice.

  • Awesome.

  • Wow, was surprised I think thats a good and nice way to behaive on a Xmas eve even its a marketinggag aswell.

  • This is so sweet and touching! God bless! Spread the love! Peace!

  • That was farkin awesome! What a really, really nice thing to do!

  • Wow, I'm pretty sure American airports wouldn't do that. It makes me so happy seeing that the people who worked there decided to make all of these flightleneers happy.

  • muito parecido com a situação aérea brasileira!!!

  • Hmm Song Name ?

  • The airline gave the names of their passengers to a marketing company. They are going to get spam long after those Christmas presents have been forgotten about.

  • Great Idea! Its so good, that there are people on this planet who think about some one other!

  • fantastic!

  • So cool!!! This rocks!

  • if I were stuck on an airplane on Christmas Eve, I'd think this is a really warm gesture. doesn't matter if it's a form of publicity, at least this one is something a person in that situation would appreciate. with the ton of traffic going around in airports, this actually is more than expected from an airline even if it were a publicity stunt. Anyway, good job, guys!!

  • Amazing to know that people can still be kind on a scale like this. It's just sad people label it a publicity stunt.

  • @ProudToBeNerdy

Well...I could agree with you if they hadn't made it into an ad...

  • that would suck if you didn't check in any bags!

  • Girl at 1:28. Nice.

  • Fantastic ... I was stuck in Copenhagen, no luggage and no news from airline of when Heathrow would be open for almost 3 days the week before this amazing gesture

  • Which 9 dumb asses disliked it and why ?

You got my heart!

• How can anyone dislike this???

  • the ones who didn´t dispached the bags didn´t get any christmas gift =(

  • 8 people flew Air Canada.

  • This is priceless.

  • That is an excellent gesture.

  • 8 people has some serious jealousy issues.

  • FOREVER ALONE

    :'-(

  • Really sweet! Would be sweeter without the music.

  • Really nice

  • Gotta love Star Alliance carriers!

  • good thoughts that count. great job even though it might meant for commercial but it does make those peeps happy with the prezzie...good job!

  • Fucking AWESOME!!

  • Would have never happend in US

  • And then they ask you: did you pack your bags your self? And even as a kid I was learned not to accept anything from strangers.

  • Great Idea! Congratulations!

  • Excellent, Spanair, EXCELLENT! :-)

  • Man that guy at the end was CUTE!!

  • we had to do something to make it special for them, and we just HAD to put it on the internet straight away so every knows we did it. Cool but hardly selfless

  • God Bless cheap marketing!

  • great idea

  • that's awesome....gave me chills!!

  • Now if only Thai Airways did something like that on our delayed flight and we had to spend our New Year's Eve at Bangkok Airport last Dec 31. Seriously. I don't need anymore earphones and orchids.

  • A marketting stunt obviously, but a lovely one at that.

  • too bad for the people who didn't check any luggage.

  • Of course it's an advertising stunt and quite well done too. You can't buy this kind of publicity (well I guess they kind of have) - the power of social media exploited. Notice how you didn't see them get their real luggage. Maybe the gifts were an apology for losing a whole flights worth of suitcases.

  • that was cool!

  • Well done, give presents to the rich people who can afford to go on planes which will probably get more gifts later but don't give them to the homeless people who aren't getting anything for Christmas.

  • @kazamman33 What a Grinch you are! You want to give to the homeless? Pull your wallet out and donate. Stop whining about companies wanting to give back to their customers, rich or not, as if they none of them deserve Xmas cheer because they aren't poor enough. It amazes me how people like you paint an act of goodwill as something bad. Well done!

  • @islandboy0000 an act of goodwill? it's a publicity stunt. They are going to make money of it and if you can't see that you're a dumb fuck and you have a fucked idea of what the grinch.

  • @kazamman33 I know what a publicity stunt is. News flash: Not all publicity stunts are bad! O.M.G. What a breakout concept... not! Oh, and what is so wrong with making customers happy by giving them gifts for Xmas, leading to customers coming back because they like how they were treated? Businesses are happy. Customers are happy. It's a win-win situation. IS THAT SO WRONG? Think.

And yes, you exhibit Grinch-y characteristics: jealousy, cynicism, and a potty mouth.

  • @islandboy0000 O.M.G you sound like an actual faggot. who talks like that?

  • @kazamman33 Obviously someone who has a life unlike you

  • FAKE

THIS GIFTS CAME FROM THE COMPANIE !!

  • Too bad nobody celebrates Christmas on the 24th in Spain, but on the 6th of January!!!

  • @NotYourVideoDealer Of course we celebrate Christmas! We call that night "Nochebuena" and people try to be with their families for sharing a fabulous homemade dinner. It originally had a Christian sense, on 24th December Jesus was born... but nowadays it's not as religious as a cultural celebration

  • Grate act. I think all those people will always think warm about Spanair.

I'm really curious: how they've chosen gifts?

  • Is this real??? If it is, it was sooo sweeeet!!!!

  • best promo ever, and at little to no cost

  • Great PR...BA, learn from this!!

  • So touching.... I cried throughout the video.

  • thats so touching)

  • The opposite of the Delta experience. Thanks.

  • for a bunch of junk those sheep shall fly with you again

  • That was the nicest thing i have seen in a long time good job to the people who did that

  • i strive to be as awesome as this.

  • I LOVED IT

  • Very cool.

  • i can't believe TSA approved this lol

    but cool idea

  • Comment removed

  • @ThePuppy131 The TSA has no business in Las Palmas or Spain.

  • This made me go 'aww'.

  • ur not allowed a camera on an airplane!

  • @ssorrenn I've had my camera on the plane several times

  • @corruptmindgame its ment to be a joke airline companies dont allow cameras cellphones.... on, on the airplane

  • can someone translate into english what them presents were pls

  • @squealyparsuperstar What do you mean translate into English? The presents were hats, teddy bears, et cetera

  • @Liface

thanks i couldnt understand what they were.

are you from belgium or sumthing??? (no sence of humour)

  • @squealyparsuperstar Sorry, I couldn't help but see this and wonder, what does Belgium have to do with anything? I'm from Belgium, so, you see, just sheer curiosity! I mean, I know, Belgians are oh so smart, but to automatically assume anyone who answers a question correctly is from Belgium, is, well, unfair to the others out there. Haha. Just kidding.

  • This seems like an advertising stunt.

  • 3 people didn't get christmas eve gifts

  • Really good! I wish all airline companies'd something like that

  • This is awesome! Thank you Spanair! You know what the spirit of Christmas is - God bless you all!

  • I can't believe there are 2 idiots ( so far ) that ranked this video down.

What the heck is wrong with you people? = /

  • @Thialas make it 3, because i did not get 1

  • AWESOME

  • Bravissimo

  • I wanna know what they all got.

  • Wow!!!! Good job guys!!!! that was really great gesture and I know you made everyone's day that night!! God Bless all of you!!

  • Wow!!!! Good job guys!!!! that was really great gesture and I know you made everyone's day that night!! God Bless all of you!!

  • Awwww, I guess there's hope for humanity, after all.

  • that guy at the end grabbed Snuggle's butt.

  • this is awesome!

  • Thumbs up if you saw it first in Gizmodo

  • This is very touching. I will admit this made me cry.

  • @VentusRegia Me too... ;)

  • Like this is u came here due to Gizmodo. Just joking im not sad.

  • Amazing!

  • Oh, what fantastic PR and a very sweet thing to do, besides.

  • Just kiddin´, it´s Iberia that is losing luggage all the time. But this video is really heartbreaking PR.

  • I guess Spainair lost some luggage as usual and these people accidently received the christmas presents that were meant for some poor children ;)

  • KUDOS for Spanair! A GOOD example!

  • is a spanish company, the viral video is in spanish. love it!

  • GREAT display of personal customer service, excellent opportunity for advertising, but why hasn't this gone viral yet? (Only 6 comments?) ANDALE!!!

  • Brilliant marketing. Garners lots of good will.

  • Excellent display of customer service. I agree, well done Spanair!

You transformed a somber baggage claim to Joy, Shared Laughter, and now the world sees who you are as well. Thank you. Have a Prosperous New Year!

  • People can care! Pay it FORWARD!!!

  • Without a doubt, one of the best corporate marketing plans I've seen in decades. Well done Spanair. I will fly with you whenever I can.

    Happy Holidays

  • Brilliant! Bravo!!!! It feels good to see an Airline that still cares! :O)

  • Great!
