  • you forgot about Misses... mother...fuckin MARPLE, that's right bitches.

  • @BackInAGiffy

I made two Monk/Poirot-Videos but I had to close them for public, because the Agatha Christie whatsoever wanted me to do so. I think the same would happen if we would make a Miss Marple-Video.

  • @ArianaMESS i was joking lol monk and Marple aren't really similar but i like this video :)

  • If you'd seen all these episodes I'm sure you'd appreciate the hilarious subtext. But since I guess most of you probably haven't, I might be the only one. xD

  • R.I.P. Peter Falk.....we will miss you.

  • peter falk died! =( such a wonderful actor. will b missed!

  • I loveeeeeeeeeeee Monk

  • Cant say I agree with those top rated comments.

Yes Columbo does not have the defects Monk has, but Monk's reasoning ability far surpasses Columbo. His deductive powers rival or exceed Sherlock Holmes, and that is beyond what Columbo does.

If given a choice, I would always choose Monk.

  • I don't ever remember seeing his wife in any episode only his dog, just loved that old car, ( was it a Peugeot ) it just seemed to suit him and his character . R.I.P.

  • lol @ 1:15 "you find something in there"..."nah my breakfast" LOLz he always made me laugh, gosh I'm gonna miss him.

  • i always dreamed of columbo meeting his distant cousin, monk, somewhere around the corner of this beloved almost forgotten "art d'usine" (factory art), cinema .... or tevision, if you prefer to name it that way, as it happens to be the actual original name for cinema around here, in this deserted planet with plastic flowers falling all around...

  • Rest in peace Mr. Falk.

    Columbo was GREAT!!!!

  • His family was Palestinian; his father was Polish, with a mix of Hungarian and Czech, and his mother Russian.[5][6] He was the great-grandson of Miksa Falk, chief editor of the Budapest newspaper Pester Lloyd.[7]:216

  • RIP Mr. Falk. Thank you for the years of great performance. many great memories here..

  • the one meeting i always dreamed of, the meeting of monk and his distant cousin, columbo, somewhere around the corner of this beloved almost forgotten factory art, cinema (or tevision, if you prefer to name it that way, as it happens to be the actual original name for cinema ...)

  • R.I.P Peter Falk

  • Love both :)) Great vid

  • When I saw the thumbnail for this clip, I thought it was anthony weiner! LOL I'm sorry Monk for besmirching your memory.

  • Great compilation......great idea! Colombo and Monk still have TONS of LIFELONG fans! A movie with the two of them would be terrific. Plot: The network executives responsible for killing two popular TV detective shows suddenly turn up missing.....

(Or ANY other plot! Bring 'em back................PLEASE!)

  • yawn

  • 2:22 MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD! great video!!

  • it would certainly be one of the greatest TV crossovers of all time to see these two team up

  • I LOVE COLUMBO AND MONK!!!!!

  • Mr. Monk has incredible nose!

  • Comment removed

  • First of: Nice idea, really, I loved it. Two of my favourite detectives combined in one show - that would have been a bomb. But, as so often, there is a minus: The song is nice, but after a while I wanna rip my ears of just to have some pain I can concentrate on... But without it, awesome!

  • Tony Shalhoub says in a interview: When I was young, I really liked Columbo a lot. =)

  • what the fuck is this?

  • Yes but the two detectives are not actually meeting in this vid, its a montage of clips.

  • Columbo is better than Monk.

I have to say I don't even know who this Monk is, but he seems unmemorable.

  • @JackTraven2525 way better

  • @JackTraven2525 Agreed,Monk is fun to watch but after a few reruns i,ve seen it. I never get tired of Columbo.

  • How much did Monk pay for his shoes?

  • Monk and Columbo must team up to find the greatest serial killer of the 20th century in America. The Zodiac.

  • monk can do the thinking, columbo can do the dirty work... and we can bring in dexter to do the REALLY dirty work.

  • The idea of Columbo movie is genius..and the personaje is so cute..inteligent-no agressive guns power or help from other peaple..he is the best ..i am 27 and i think there is no such smart movie in nowdays..

  • Columbo's the best TV detective ever...

Monk, Kojak, Rockford, any of them can't hold a candle to the master of detectives...

    "Eh... Just one more thing"

  • @SunSurfer777 ---and I love MONK, KOJAK, ROCKFORD but I agree with you--Columbo is " the master of detectives...)

  • nice work

    respectful

  • excellent ending. columbo kicks monk's ass anyday

  • monk owns columbo easily. He is by far the smarter detective.

  • yeah, right....

  • ridiculous

  • very creative. We truly appreciate the work you put into comparing two very unique and talented actors. Maybe this A-B style could help self-proclaimed "critics" in a lot of instances. Pictures do say a thousand words but a thousand words do not say a picture.

  • Oh, man. I always wanted to see this happen. Columbo would drive Monk crazy.

  • He sure would ;-)))

  • i seen most of these shows, columbo wins hands down

  • good job

  • they whould be a nice time

  • crap!!

  • well,this really something to c lol

    monk is alright

  • Did anyone ever see Columbo's wife? By the way, Peter Falk is of hungarian origin.

  • Not in this show. But there was a show in the USA about "Mrs. Columbo" with Kate Mulgrew (Captain Janeway from ST Voyager ;) - please look at her imdb-site ), but it was dropped because of too few quotes.

  • @ArianaMESS That Mrs. Columbo was not of any relation to this Columbo. You never see Columbo's wife. There are episodes where she is supposed to be present, ie, the cruise ship but you never see her. There are those who even speculated that she was something Columbo invented as another device, but the writers confirmed she did exist. We just never saw her. Columbo once claimed she was dieting and struggling with her weight....so there is a hint that Mrs. Columbo was a thick woman. haha

  • @ArianaMESS That was a completely different Mrs. Columbo who is of no relation to Peter Falk's character.. You never see Columbo's wife.

  • @kerryoke68

Sorry, I never saw the show Mrs. Columbo with K. Mulgrew, because it wasn't aired in my country, but I read somewhere that they made it look like she could be the wife of Peter Falk's C.

But my little video is not about Mrs. C. it is about Columbo and Monk. I know that Mrs. Columbo never appeared in the show but Columbo always talked about her. I only used original sentences like that in this little video to make it funnier and to show that both men love(d) their wives. :)

  • @ArianaMESS Well I should mention the people who created "Mrs. Columbo" did want it to be a spin off but the originators of Columbo & Falk hated the idea. The show did so poorly that they wound up changing the name of the show and not implying that she was Mrs. Columbo. It never did well with any name. The funny thing is the producers of Columbo said if they had another Columbo show he would say "Have you heard of that woman claiming to know me?" hehe Thanks for this video. I wish they had met.

  • @kerryoke68

Kate Mulgrew was indeed Mrs. Columbo, and I mean Peter Falk's Columbo's wife.

Just take a look at the opening credits of Mrs Columbo TV series.

You will see, Columbo's dog, Columbo's notes on the wall, the typewriter, and also Columbo's beaten up car parked on the driveway.

    Kate was Mrs. Columbo ;)

  • @kerryoke68 i am sorry, but you are incorrect. she most definitely WAS intended to be portraying p. falk's "columbo" character's wife. i remember that show well.

  • @furpurr you are completely right and I thought I posted a correction about this a while ago. however, that being said, the originators of Columbo hated this idea SO much they refused to acknowledge her (Mrs. Columbo) and insisted she be changed to be more vague in later episodes. I think that is how I got confused about it. To me there was no Mrs. Columbo. RIP Peter Falk

  • To me it,s funny that he talk,s every episode about Mrs Columbo but you never get to see her, even not in the episode that is about her "murder" ;)

  • @bbenjoe Mrs. Columbo never appeared in the tv show, however, Falk's wife starred in a few "Columbo mysteries" movies; never as his tv wife though.

  • @50s90sMusicRocks That was a.... "poetic question" . I well know we could never see her, I also heard something of a series with her, but I didn't really know. So, thanks for the answer.

  • @bbenjoe i was wondering what he s origin was for a longtime now thanks for the info i thougth he may have been greek

  • His family was Jewish, his father of Russian ancestry and his mother of Polish descent with Hungarian and Czech roots.

  • @akadubliner

But we can call him american for short.

  • @bbenjoe Yes he's Jewish

  • Columbo Rocks !!

  • ha ha,on the hygiene piont they are opposite of eachother ;)

  • Cool video. The Lieutenant DID make a cameo on Alias and they got it here. For all Columbo fans, they just released his 90s movies on dvd. I got my copy thru amazon.

  • Monk is just a bad copy of Columbo...Columbo is the king..

  • nah..they are like night and day of each other

  • well somebody made an effort here. thumbs up!!

  • This is very clever. Well done.

  • I'm a big fan of them.

  • YAY COLUMBO!!!! Thanks for the awesome video!!!!

  • murder

  • funny,lol

  • we live on a world that is out side perfection,it is out side our world that makes us perfect.strange but true, but that is the way it is,i love freedom of information. But i just do not like the world we live in.

  • Huh??

  • funny video, columbo versus monk,is like logic versus Perfection.but perfection is not freedom, let me tell you that........................................you cant learn what is out side perfection.

  • great job!

  • The music was kind of annoying o.x But other than that, cool video. ^^

  • be fair

  • Dude,

Way too much time on your hands.

  • Dammit, now I wish they'd really get Columbo on Monk. What a great episode that would make.

  • thanks

  • poor stotlemeyer..having to deal with both monk and columob..lol

  • shalhoub was on a columbo episode a longggg time ago. he was skinner back then.

  • what's a skinner

  • I ment skiny..like weight less

  • lol sorry

  • Thanks!, this is great!

  • This is so cleaver. I love Monk & I love Colombo & they are here together, brilliant!

  • haha thats funny..even when its a bit bloopy hehe..i like it

  • This was very nicely edited, if only they could make a real special episode of Monk where Peter Falk has a cameo role as Columbo. It would be a dream come true!

  • what is that music?

  • Hi Marci,

the Music is "Let's Go to San Francisco" from "The Flowerpot Men". ;)

  • thank you very much!

  • Good work! That was brilliant!

I am happy 'cos Columbo (OLD COLUMBO) will back to Polish tv next month! I watch it when I was baby so its time to back memories <3

  • Really? What channel?!?!?!!?!? And when etc.?!

  • On TVN 7! Are you from Poland?

  • Well I was born in London, UK, and I have Polish television because my parents are Polish. I can speak Polish lol I dunno why I just typed that comment in English... but at least you get to practise English hehe.

To moze powiem cos po Polsku. Czesc?

  • Nice.

What scares me is that one day the morons who are in charge of nowadays TV will try to re-make Columbo. It simply is NOT possible. Peter Falk is a legend and no-one will ever be able to emulate how perfectly he played the role of Columbo.

Easily the greatest programme of all time!

  • I could not agree with you more. Never will be another Columbo...no one but Peter Falk could pull it off. It would be an insult to even try!

  • Good point. 99.9% Of remakes are complete c*ap. Please please dont let them ever attempt it.

  • Love the video! Monk and Columbo together - one of my all-time television dreams!

It's such a shame ABC more than likely isn't going to make any more "Columbo" specials because of Peter Falk's age. I mean, he is 80 years old but there are plenty of actors that age and older who are still more than capable of doing that sort of work. If I was an eccentric billionare, I'd pay them millions upon millions to make it. Some might call that bribery but hey, it's Columbo!

  • "My wife is not gonna believe this..." ^_^ one of my favorite Columbo-isms. He'd be a great husband!!!! <3 <3 <3

  • This "teaser" isn't enough! We need to petition the "Monk" producers to write in the now-retired Lt. Columbo. But, would he still have the old car, the dog, and the raincoat? Legal problems can easily be overcome by greasing palms with cash.

  • I know that Monk is supposed to be modeled after Sherlock Holmes, but he really does remind me more of Columbo. Thanks!

  • Thank you ArianaMess, you videos are amazing! Specially this one with Columbo because it reminds me my childhood!

It must take so much work to remember the scenes, to associate them etc... You are very good at it! You should send your creations to Monk!

  • Oh, thank you so much for your nice comment, viewingVideos2 (All others too ;) ). Columbo is also a part of my childhood and when I read that many people would like to see Monk and Columbo investigate together I thought: "Well, at least I should/could give it a try." ;)

  • Did Columbo have OCD?

  • Is that scenes of the next episode from the next season of Monk?

  • Hi gtz1975: This is just a mix of different scenes of Monk and Columbo and not a real episode. ;)

  • Taxi! Taxi!

  • Great as always, Ariana! *thumbs-up*

  • Great idea! Thank you.
