Marathons are really for sissies. Pink is not a necessity in running or fitness, but form, biometrics and function, not style and cuteness. Wow, some people are typical morons. What a dork.
I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. Its nice.
Good to see some refreshing content for a change. John.
wen u run u land on each foot with like 8 times ur own weight. after a while that can lead to serious problems sooner or later if u dont have proper support or cushion
I run every morning. When I dont stretch right before I run, my legs get tired after the very first mile. When I stretch correctly, It makes all the difference.
I wear Nike Air Mar Rex+, with the chip inside and they work very well. Much better than other shoes Ive tried.... (And their "CUTE" in girls shoes and colors, lol).
because ur stretching a cold muscel, whih could result in tearing somthing. do a dinamic warm up. and stretch after that if u must. ultimatly, u should stretch after a run to release lactic acid :)
yeah i ve had the same problem as you. at a cross country meet, here in fort worth. i got two horrible shin splints, for each leg, and pulled my left hamstring. nike,s are good for looks, and thats prettymuch it. i mainly wear asics when i run, which are about halfway decent looking, and verrrrrrrryy comfy.
Excellent lesson and good analogy (and story). I agree, the most important ingredient of long-term success is adaptability (which encompasses being "coachable").
somthing about ur personality is very like able ... haha but yeah I know what your saying i started running with nikes, didnt work so well legs hurt, then i got a pair of these ugly ass adidas and they helped a lot. Thanks for postin vid and makin sure that shoes do matter and not just in my head o.o
what makes a good runner? someone who can run the same distance they can run in shoes while barefoot. if you can run barefoot, this means you have solid technique and aren't relying on shoes to take in force and do the work for you. if you can rely on your body to take in the force and not need shoes to go running, you're a good runner.
good running shoes are ones that are closest to going barefoot. Vibram Five Fingers, Feiyues and Dunlop Volleys are good running shoes.
I too got shin splints when running in nike shoes. I switched to asics, which give me knee problems. Eventially I bought a pair of brooks and nothing hurt anymore. I went on the longest run I've ever been on and I was fine on the run and the day after.
hi hi.. are brooks a female only running shoes or? i was wondering if u tried the nike shocks..i wanted to take up running but hoped i find a pair that can make it easier..and since ALL the running shoes i see are ugly.. with some rare exceptions that look okay from afar .. and still.. . comfort i guess comes first... if someone else want to answer.. feel free to do so.. i know not all will be comfy for everyone but ill settle for "most likey comfy" brands good for starter runners..which ever
Brooks makes shoes for both male and females! They actually aren't that ugly and they feel amazing! :)
I used to wear nikes when I ran and it was BAD...they are cute shoes but if you're running 5+ miles you aren't going to care what the shoes looks like. Asics are good shoes too and they have some that look pretty ok! Go to your local running store and see what they have. They'll pick the shoe that is best for your foot and stride.
wow thanks that was a really good video..i learned alot.. im working at a shoe store and i really dont know anything about running shoes when people ask me,, but u healped a lot!
Real runners don't run in Nike or Adidas (Unless you're a pro and have custom-made shoes). Those shoes are desinged to fit the most number of people, but they end up being crappy for most. Instead, true running shoes like Brooks or ASICS may not fit as many people, but when you find a shoe that fits you they are a lot nicer than Nike of Adidas
Thanks for watching my video! I actaully got some new shoes, I showed them in the video...they're Brooks and they're amazing! They are my new favorite brand...anyway thanks again for watching/commenting!
Check out any Bowerman series Nike, they are more performance oriented. You can identify them by the Bowerman logo on the heel of the insole. If your willing to try something new, try the brand Brooks. The shoe in the video is terrible, its the Nike Impax.
I run in Brooks too... the GTS 7's to be exact. They seem to make some nice shoes. I like the fact that they are more focused on true Orthodic type builds than looks like Nike or Reebok. If you want to run don't worry about looks... just like you said injurie free outweighs being good looking.
That was a very foolish statement. Different people have different feet and many different problems with running. No certain set of shoes is correct for everyone. Oh that and Nike makes horrible running shoes.
I could not agree with you more. Everyone runs different and there is no perfect shoe for anyone. I haven't been running that long but I figured that out early on in my trainings.
Nike has cute shoes, but as far as comfort, support, performance, etc.....they aren't the greatest, for my foot anyway.
i'm training for the next london marathon, i also live in the south east of england and next year i'm cycleing to scotland for charity, yea i'm crazy lol

Can you please make a video of your running shoes?
I would see gladly, how you put on barefoot the shoes.

The running shoes deffo prevent shin splints, make sure you get some with good cushioning, sorry but a shoe with a bit of a platform works!!
Good video :)
