  • Anyone else think they drive the shit out of these cars before they crash test them.... lol

  • To all of you fools who don't understand how these tests work... It's the data that counts, NOT what you can see here. The F10 5 Series is a IIHS "Top Safety Pick" based upon the tests you are looking at.

  • sunnroof it's ok , but in the rear seat , what's that falling off the roof ?

  • @gotcha671

Looks like a rear map light that popped out when the headliner was deformed.

  • You get squished by that oversized center console.

  • ? km/h crash ?

  • The sunroof came off, then the seat will explode and send you directly to the heaven ;)

  • check out the crash test for hyundai genesis which looks safer than this

  • One question are the occupants supposed to be thrown around like that and should the driver seat break up like that it does not look safe. just saying

  • @JPraiser If the readings on the dummies don't show any injuries, they should be fine. It's better than not wearing a seatbelt, that's for sure.

  • @frohman3 ok kool cuz i love this car but afta that vid idk if i would still wanna invest in that lol but as long as the figures are solid i am. these test are typically worse than real life so i think im prob ok

  • @JPraiser Yeah, it all depends the variables of the collision. This is supposed to simulate a SUV or truck hitting at 31mph. The government does a test at 30 with a sled simulating a regular car.

  • @frohman3 }

NHTSA's test is an angled deformable barrier moving at 38.5 Mp/h. It simulates two vehicles moving.

  • @CarPro1993 Oh, thought it was 30.

  • @frohman3 oh ok thats not too bad then i still like it lol

  • not very safe huh

  • Oh thanks that I get it now

  • You guys.

Seriously... everything is supposed to crumble and break.

That means that it's absorbing energy, and preventing that energy from reaching the passengers.

A car that stays intact during a crash is an unsafe car. Only the body should stay rigid, the rest should crumble and fly off as much as possible.

  • Mercedes E-Class is safer. But still, other BMWs are good.

  • Everything just flies appart

  • @Franco555 Ok but it still comes out of its frame

  • @lovethecity123 well I guess you're right, but I don't like the idea of things being able to come in after the crash.....

  • one of the expensive ugly car :P i only like the 2005 version 530D touring :D

  • Did you see how the sunroof came off?....That can't be safe

  • @cm18cam The seatbelts hold you down.

  • @cm18cam But its acrylic

  • @cm18cam releases pressure and transfers energy completely out of the vehicle. super safe.

  • @phillybob233 plus: gives a nice amount of fresh air for more comfort in the unlikely event of a crash.

  • @phillybob233 but what if it's raining? :(

  • @phillybob233 Are you crazy? ... is not the best I've seen

  • @cm18cam when the glass breaks you get all the pieces in your shirt/neck/eyes or whereever. i.m.o. more unsafe then totally out of the roof in one piece. it's not like it flys around like a frisbee.

  • @cm18cam PLUS, ESCAPE HATCH

  • @cm18cam that mad for the driver to come out lol hehehehehe

  • @cm18cam It can act as an emergency exit in case doors are jam.

  • @cm18cam the interior light also fell off.

  • @cm18cam german engineering :D

  • BMW's sure have gotten hella ugly!!!!
