Thanks for the video. Greatly appreciated. The one thing that I do not like about DropBox thus far is the apparent need for the dropbox directory/folder. I would rather just map my existent my documents folder. Maybe I will figure out why they have done this once I start using the program. Cheers!
yes luis its see through like mines but since his desktop is black it looks like it i love that theme of vista i got its when i open things it looks so cool
i worry about all these free online storage services. If they close down and you havent made sure you stillhave copies of everything on your home pc you will lose valuable info
mob3, i like your vids, but how is this different than uploading something to mediafire, or filefront? just asking, not trying to be smart. but good video 5/5
I use something that's a lot like this called Live Mesh, from Microsoft. It gives you 5 gigs of online storage, along with being able to keep almost any folder in sync with another computer through P2P sharing. You can upload and download any of the files from any computer with internet access, and there is an application that lets you mark folders to be included in your "mesh", which will automatically upload/sync any new files that gets added to that folder to the internet or another computer.
It also gives you a history of any files you added or deleted, along with a list of the folders which you have, which I'm pretty sure is unlimited as long as you don't run out of space. There is also a remote desktop feature, though I've never used it myself. You can also choose to share folders with other people, where you send them an email, and when they accept, you can then add or delete files from that folder, along with keeping it synced with your computer.
The invitations probably are a left over from the beta version, just like Gmail. When you're in your gmail page you can also still see the invite thing, but they finished the beta a while ago and made it open to everyone.
Thanks, this application is really helpful, because i have to do lots of work at home, but i have no way of getting it too school, but this, you can just simply upload it there, then i can download it at school :) its like a flash drive on the net :)
