Have never forgotten this magnificent story teller and musician since first hearing " Taxi " Thank you for posting this version of " All my life's a circle " Love hearing Mike, the cello player, giving his all. I miss Harry and we are lesser with his leaving us too early.
I got to meet Harry in the early 70's. I was supposed to be interviewing him but instead we became friends. We talked about everything you can imagine over the years, even religion. I told him about a preacher I had met and interviewed named Clarence Jordan. I gave him a copy of his book The Cotton Patch Gospels...and of course, Harry turned it into a musical. I miss his calls and his cards. He was one of a kind.
@Rusty44444444 This is very good shit man. I'm only 20, but my pops raised me on Chapin as well. Inspiring to hear someone 8 years older than me was raised the same.
Thank you "SongsofHarry" for posting such a beautiful singer, his songs and words to... I sang this song to my daughter daily... for me it was an album that always stays in my collection... so thank you for your time and for sharing....
ive listened to Harry since I was 3 my nana told me I would always sing his songs at home im now 23 and I still listen to him and sing to his song love his music he was a great guy its sad that all the good singers in past years have died like this one and the likes of jonnhy cash, MJ, The beetles, Elvis, along with many others
Harry makes a song that pulls the strings til it rains, then he takes that song & makes it SHINE...
those guys aren't roadies, they handle the sound & lights & sing -& a nod to Seals & Crofts - how cool is that?
So moist eyes dry and how can you not get up & sing along. Then you realize it's gone and I'm alone in a misty darkness, in circles going round again... So I'll just hit replay on this merry go round sing along with Harry...
Thanks, for sharing this GREAT live slice of a great life!
