how are they for cold weather and water proofing? For me, the carbon knuckle protector is good, but I'm going to get into cold weather and rain more often than I get into a fight where i need the knuckle protector (or fall off my bike/motorcycle).
Nice review man. One thing. The cuff of magnum gloves, as it doesn't have any velcro perhaps sand and other little things could through into the hand. you used them much how about that?
@hugoxrko I would say get military grade gloves, they have really cheap and good quality winter gloves. Or expensive, if you want hard knuckle. Both kinds have served me well in airsoft, paintball, and heavy snow days.
@ParkourGohst you can buy them online at Oakley . Com (no spaces) for $70 but if you go to an Oakley store (where I went) you can buy them for $43 including tax good luck!
The Oakleys were made for the military. (Hence the SI [Standard Issue]) You use them for anything from Airsoft to hiking, from biking to camping, etc etc.
Camelbaks are probably the same, but I don't know anything about them (besides the fact that they also make military equipment)
@pinoypower247 According to Oakley size chart, measuring around your knuckles (right hand), 7 inches is small, 8 inches is medium, 9 inches is large, 10 inches is extra-large and for every inch beyond that you would add an extra x, though I believe XXL is as big as they get.
@RAYPBCHZ I highly doubt he will ever kick in a door and as for the "raping", that doesn't makes you sound cool. It makes you sound like another sick fuck that loves that word.
@Ascenscion123 The knuckle piece? So you don't jack your hands up in strenuous conditions and if need be when you punch somebody its gonna fuck them up.
@TheNewnan3 The cooler ones are the oakleys but they arent nearly as durable. The Camelbaks have stood up to countless mountain bike rides and other outdoor activities.
i have a pair of the oakley's and they are a joy to have in fucking hot weather just doing random stuff and they are pretty durable. i will have to try the camelbaks now/

I just got mine in and they fit snug I got a size medium and they seam a little small because my palms are a little wide in comparison to my finger length but they fit just fine they came with a size chart in the back and for mediums measuring from the crevice between you thumb and pointer finger it's about 3 and a half inches 4 for a large it goes by half inch margins for size I hope this helped.
Great review. I would not plug Botach Tactical too much. They have great prices, but everything I ordered was always on back order and a bank account I rarely use, I used to make purchases from their store and the card number was compromised within a week. I had several fraudulent charges on my account and it was a big mess to deal with. I got the newest Oakley FR gloves off of the Oakley SI site good gloves but they got snagged on the velcro cuff and ripped the nomex. I think camelbak is the w
@tcfiregod yeah I honestly don't mean to plug botach as much as I do but they just have some really good prices and so far I have had an overall good shopping experience with them.
I think the Camelbak FR Magnum Force would be a more appropriate glove for this comparison. He is right about that wear spot on the oakley assault but as a 240B gunner running daily missions I nearly went the whole deployment before that spot went. As for their effectiveness in the cold. I found them to be fine for the cold until you get into the teens and below. The dexterity can't be beat and thats the key as far as I'm conserned that's key. Nothing worse that baggy finger tips...
@Xbox360SKIDS007 I have not used the wiley's personally but I have heard that they fall apart fairly quickly and for me gloves have to be able to take quite a beating.

@porscheG56 I will say that I would not want to be punched by a carbon knuckle. That would leave a mark

Which one is better in winter and long cold situations?
hugoxrko 2 months ago
@hugoxrko definitely neither. These would both be considered a very warm weather glove. Get a winter-specific glove for cold operations

i was checking out botach tactical, but they gloves they have pictured are slightly different from the ones you have suicidepie.
yous have the Camelbak logo whereas the ones on botach have a logo that looks like a skull with tribal tattoos coming out of the sides.
is there any difference? i'd rather not pay a lot of money to get a really good looking copy
