I think sub-dermal electronic tattoos (perhaps powered by our own bio-electricity) can't be too far away. It's already possible to print micro circuitry using inkjet technology, LEDs are getting ludicrously small and I can think of at least half a dozen ways of making such a thing change colour with mood. It wouldn't look like the concept seen here but it would be stunning in a different way.
