  • Not Bad but no one does it like the Eagles.

  • Actually, Steve Young wrote the song, the Eagle's version (and this one) are a direct lift of the 1970s Ian Matthews arrangement, which is, in my opinion the best version to date...really great arrangement with cool steel guitar.

  • Jennifer's ass made this video worth while!

  • They really were having FUN! That's what it's all about! Rah!

  • nice try, but no cigar

and no offense either, I pray

  • @lowlander333 Agreed! But this version has one thing the Eagles lack 2:11

  • @lowlander333 ~ I agree. They were off key through half of it. Not horribly so, but enough that I noticed.

  • you know the road they are singing about is only 10 miles from my home here in texas

  • Do they need a bass singer?? <--<--<---!!!!!

  • A fine version of the classic Steve Young song.

  • she is so down to earth

  • noooooo I was at this show, but I was sick so i left apparently before this!

  • You think this is good, well I got a band that does it live better, I think, check out Nucleus on here, youtube, Seven Bridges Road live video, 3 brothers sing it and WOW they sound as good as the Eagles!!! Check out their original tunes too, AMAZING, you will NOT believe it or regret taking the time to check it out!!!

  • its GOOD!

  • I love Jennifer Nettles voice> it unique and distinguishable. Unlike so many of the posers. Super stuff!!!

  • I agree OneBadWiz.......but they came VERY close!!!

    I love it :)

  • No one will ever sing this song as good as The Eagles....

  • i liked the eagles performing this but love this version !!

  • I dont like this as much as the Eagles version, but it is ok. 1000 times better than the version with Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum, now that one is bad

  • That's huge talent to pull that off live...NO AUTOTUNE NEEDED!!!!

  • I love how the mic stand just magically floats up at 0:37

  • Really 3x horrible! This is an awesome rendition. I have heard the Eagles (the best), Alan Jackson (fantastic)

  • That was painful

  • its so much better when the band has fun with anything they do on stage......makes it sooo much more enjoyable for everyone.

  • Awesome! I'm not a huge country fan, but it just works, and they sound great together.

  • horrible x 3

  • Liz Liz Liz Liz....no no no no. If you want to hear the original, you have to hear Steve Young sing it.....oh by the way, just so you won't be confused....he wrote it.

  • horrible

  • This totally ruined it for me.... Even worse. I'm 14. And I hate pop music. Much less Sugarland.

  • @LilLiz336 ...I don't really know how to explain this to you but....Sugarland is not a POP act, they are country! I've watched Jennifer Nettles perform since she was in High School and she has a fabulous voice. Please remember this song is over 35 years old. If you want to hear the original, then listen to Randy Meisner, Bernie leadon, Don Henley, Don Felder and Glenn Frey perform it.......oh by the way, just so you won't be confused....they are The Eagles!

  • horrible

  • This is horrible. Clean out your ears.

  • to bad the sound man couldnt dial them in till the end of the song. any average sound man could of done it quicker. but all and all..they did a great job on stage.

  • i almost died watching this. i LOVE them ALL so much! :]

  • I really like this version. It's always has been one of my favs. I love Rita Coolidge's version the best. This comes in a close second! then Stephen's. great song!~

  • my god...they are so good!!

  • awesome!!!

  • I saw Jennifer as a teenager when she was singing in Clovers & Co. with the Georgia 4-H club.....she was awesome then and she's even awesomer now! And there is NO bad Eagles song!

  • Very nice! I luv all 3 of them!

  • They NAILED it!! Wow!

  • This song was written by Stevie Young, not the Eagles

  • Jennifer, MARRY ME!!!

  • just putting this out their Steve Young wrote Seven bridges Road not the Eagles I know Steve and it pisses me off when he dose not get credit for his work

  • @TheCrazycam45

You know most people don't even know that man. Did you know the Eagles use to sing it in harmony to warm up before every concert.

  • Perfect!

  • Awsome!! duet

  • She as a nice ass, just saying. Anyways very good performance, love them all.

  • They did wonderfully for impromptu, and I thought it sounded good for that setting.

  • How did I not know about this I live in Cleveland!!!! Uggg Can't believe I didn't know about it but that was in 09

  • FANTASTIC!

  • AWESOME!!!

  • its called jammin

  • LOL her face at 0:25

  • Can't wait to go to Baouy Country Superfest to see Sugarland. She has one of the best female voices in the last twenty years. Control, quality, projection, grace...

  • this is actually pretty boring.....i think a lot of garage bands can do it better.......zzzzz...the 4 part harmony is missing or off kilter.....zzz the guitar picking is lost in the drubs..these BIG stars should be embarassed...i have heard kids do this better

  • I love this song, and I love to see people having so much fun on a stage SINGING a killer classic..........hard to beat.

  • good cover of a great song....but can i just say that Jennifer Nettles has a great ass .

  • This song is actually by Steve Young

  • @mwestmo steve young??

    the 49ers Quarterback??

or Neil Young...? or Steven stills??...sheesh you re a bit off my friend.......lol hope you pick one !

  • @fuzzypige222 I can't deal with ignorance such as yours

  • @fuzzypige222 look it up before you start criticizing my FRIEND!

  • They're great singers but why do they have to act so obnoxiously bigheaded ? The Eagles were 100 times more talented yet far more humble.

  • @AcryforhelpAaahhh Hmm... Never heard The Eagles called "humble" before. We're talking about Henley and Frey, right? The clash of egos that destroyed the band?

  • I love this song, I love this performance I's love to bite jennifer right on that pretty ass

  • You caught a Great moment in History....for sure...bitburgerboy...

  • I love that she is just wearing a sweater... and singin like there is nothing amazing... THEY ROCKED THIS.... I am thankful they sang this... its beautiful AMAZING AMAZING you hear!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!

  • Jennifer Nettles has got some chops for sure! I've always liked Ian Matthews version of this song. Been afavorite since the 70's

  • The acapella part was kind of rough, but all in all not a bad job of covering the eagles version of this song. They should stick to country though, they're good at that.

  • wow they disgrace the eagles version good job u f'in idiots

  • Here's the REAL version:

    youtube.com/watch?v=RgqoTDRLhfc

It's amazing what one man with a guitar can do with a little talent!

  • 7 Bridges Road written by Steve Young

  • @thanksforthemusic

Written and performed by Steve Young

  • jess nettles is sexy just somethin bout her

  • I'm not a country music fan but some songs are kinda good. I'm just curious how a man from Australia can have a "country" accent in his music? Put anotha shrimp on tha barbie! XD

  • Sugarland is not a country band. It gets better than being a country band: they are artists who appreciate music in general. And are not concerned about being labeled. The fans like them for what they are. No need of change here.

  • This is THE MOST beautiful live performance I've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i was at this concert he is amazing!

  • The SONG is by Steve Young...not the Eagles.

  • @grandcanyonplanet damn right!

  • I was here that night, I actually got to touch his shoulder... But this was the high light of the night!!

  • Sounds Awesome!

  • that was awesome!

    so good together!

  • They're not trying to be the Eagles. They

work on the song for just about hour. I would

like to see any of you know it alls do it.

Not to mention they're are two of the most original and sensitive artist I know.

They must be doing something right, find where they were in Oklahoma and covered you're the reason God Made Oklahoma.

    Unbelievable!

Keep doing your thing Keith and Sugarland!

I'am sure your bankers don't mine! LMAO

  • The issue is not the performance but rather the arrangement. It is just a knock off of the Eagle's version. Be creative and come up with something different. Then we'll find it more impressive and give it more than one listen...

  • it's a live performance. It's not going to sound PERFECT! like you would hear on the radio. This is an awesome performance of this song, and I would love to hear them do more songs together!!!!!

  • @MsPrissyPam the fact that its live shows their talent i'd like to see somebody like taylor swift or some other low count sing this good without a nasa mixing board

  • This is a remake of a remake of a remake!

  • @eggs712 Yeah read my comment above. I agree.

  • I thought they did a pretty good job on this song for this being the 2nd time they've sung this together. ..... and it being a spur of the moment thing.

I thought they sounded great. together.

    -thumbs up-

  • @cougar24 I agree, I thought hey did an awesome job!

  • @cougar24 I doubt it was the 2nd time or spur of the moment.

  • Sugarland & Kieth Urban sounded good but still ain't no Eagles

  • Not too sure about the beggining, but they tore the rest of the song up! sounded great

  • Some people are being a little harsh. Jennifer can obviously sing, but the issue is she is not blending all that well. To do tight harmony like that, you all need to try to match style and timbre. She has a lot of vibrato going that makes her stick out like a sore thumb.

  • @mknerr I tend to agree, the blend is not what it should be. But they seem to have encountered a less than optimal situation with the monitors etc as evidenced by the confusion before they started. They are individually good performers, but they are not the Eagles.

  • The Eagles are my FAVORITE band of all...this kicks ass....Keith and Sugarland rock

  • The Eagles only made it popular, it's original is from Steve Young. The Eagles also say that when they play it live. Nonetheless the Eagles sure did a hell of a job on the song.

This version also is pretty good! But I prefer the Eagles version.

  • Still cant touch the eagles!

  • WOW. What a great combination.

  • Though this song SHOLD BE all male vocals, not bad!! 3 out of 5 *s!

The Eagles are who truly who can do this the way it ought to be!

  • This Girl wants to kiss me. Yep, I can see it in her eye, her smile, the way her face lights up when she sings to me... She's waited so long, I'd try to do the 'Gentlemanly thing', and let her.., kiss me, once, right in front of my Girlfriend, I'd hold her hand, and explain that my heart is already taken, and it was nice to meet her, then walk away, holding my Girl's hand... Yep, that's the way I see it.

  • keith is an amazing artist..those posting negative comments are freak

  • @RHMETAL You know... Not all of us new generation kids listen to that shit music. :(

  • @unholyxangels I know. I'm 15. There are few that don't listen to it. Glad to see there's another that doesn't.

  • omg i hate the bad comments people say jennifer is freakin amazing she could sing the phone book awesomely !!! sugarland and keith two of my faves thanks for posting !!

  • Well, this song has been ruined. She does not belong doing this song. They should have gotten two or three other guys that can sing and they would have done a lot better.

  • does anybody want keith urban and eagles tickets?

6/19/2010 in chicago at soldier field

  • @dancerforced Luckily, I'm seeing The Eagles WITHOUT Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban! Gonna be worth every penny!

  • Does anybody want eagles and keith urban tickets.

6/19/2010 at soldier field in chicago

  • This crap has ruined what is now called Country Music. This is shit. Country music is David Allan Coe, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Paycheck, Hank Jr., Hank III, Hank Sr., George Jones, Willie Nelson, Shooter Jennings, Merle Haggard, Oak Ridge Boys, etc. Not this crap. This is pop. Not Country. If you like it, fine. But it ain't country. PERIOD!

  • dude are you stupid? this is an old eagles song from 1977 are you retarded? not country, but southern rock n roll and if you cant rap your tiny pea brain around that then you need to get back in touch with the roots that brought you country music and even rock n roll people like willie and hank jr and johnny cash had a big part in starting modern rock and country and to the idiot below (bigcat) i dont even like country and know that girl has a voice. sometimes it better to keep your trap shut.

  • @kingirvine91 Johnny Cash and the other people around his time were the first people who played at concerts... Back then, noone knew what to do there so there where no laws prohibiting anything... It was really weird...

  • @kingirvine91 Before calling people retarded, you should check your own facts, it's not an eagles song from 1977. :p

  • @RHMETAL LOL you have to be checked man. This sure ain't pop. It is actually a really well known country song.

  • @AkAjjAcobsz I mean the ARTISTS are pop! I know this is a well known song! It's from Eagles Live by The Eagles! They are one of my favorite groups. Originally written by Steve Young. It's not Country. It's folk.

  • Oh my god! are yall deaf!!!! SHE SOUNDS HORRIBLE! she cant sing if she blew it out her a**. I have been musicaly violated. Futhermore I am tired of the crap of nashville ruining good songs with the sh** they call singing. Have a nice day.

  • @bigcat317

you're a f*ckin' moron if you think this girl can't sing!

  • Fantastic I love their music.....

  • only one correction here... Seven Bridges Road was written and originally recorded on RCA by Steve Young.

  • HUGE Eagles fan, but this is tremendous!! I am also a big KU fan!! =)

  • i had the biggest crush on keith years ago and now i remember why! what a babe and a great singer (;

  • I saw sugarland in concert once. She's got a good voice but she dances like a whore while singing and her showboat boyfriend was trying to act like a real badass while wailing the same three power chords all night long. Her voice was the only talent on stage but I guess thats about right nowadays.

  • i quite simply think that this is resplendant. 106%.

  • this sounds like shit. its a 5 part rmony with all guys for a fucking reason

  • @lillivplayer54

    ?

Really? Seriously? Are you gay or just untalented?

  • @lillivplayer54 sugarland is fucking awesome. you obviously have horrible taste in music, so stfu. your opinion is not wanted here, especially since its negative. trying being nice for a change, most people feel better when they aren't cynical, cold hearted bitchesss. :)

  • It would be great to see these wize ass fuckers do any better than Keith. Best players always sit next to the field!

  • hmm, i think i just threw up a little....

  • sounds great, they did an awesome job in my opinion. =)

  • It's a shame to me, that people can't watch (or listen), to a performance without tearing it apart bit by bit. Maybe that's why they're selling tickets and records, and you're sitting at home hiding behind a monitor posting comments.

  • Awesome! Comment of the year!!!

  • @tnwhiskey like you?

  • @tnwhiskey yeah well so are you. :D :D

  • @tnwhiskey i think they did an good cover of it, there is no such thing as being as good as the original, but you can do you own cover of it...i agree with you though

  • @tnwhiskey I agree tnwhiskey. People need to keep there negative, narrow minded comments to themselves, until such times they are outselling the artist that they are posting the comments about. For an impromptu performance this is fantastic Kristian, Jennifer and Keith all have very different voices, and they produced a fantastic version of a great song. Performing live is about having fun and producing very special moments like these. And if you don't like live performances just dont go.

  • @tnwhiskey Or maybe they were trying to make you flinch

  • I can't decide which version is worse....this one or the one with Lady Antebellum.......sorry, KU.

  • You're all wrong. I have never heard Jennifer Nettles sing a song off key!

  • wow fuzzy your tone deaf
