  • I Will Follow U2 since 1982 -

  • people please understand u2 songs have double meanings mainly masonic agenda look it up

  • My friend called U2 gay, guess who called the ambulance?

  • THE BEST U2 SONG!

  • I always thought this album cover was a picture of Larry Mullen Jr.

  • hahaha..thanks Ill try that later :D

  • you have to be fool to listen to this and stand still.. it simply makes me jump all over the room!

  • @HiFiHobby79 Totally agree, the rhythm takes me .... I love U2

  • I just love that introific riff edge is god \../ great band \../

  • I had a cold. I listened to this video. I got better.

  • I was a punk when I first heard this and was blown away, mainly because Rock was full of macho dickheads and this had an innocence and spirit but with guts.

I'm not a big u2 fan and I think it's a shame that Bono doesn't do more spiritual stuff like Joshua Tree. I know he was young but there are very few moments when he uses his Vox as he used to.

  • Best U2 song !

  • one of the best albums ever made

  • U2's songs is one of the very few I enjoy listening to whilst at work, when the retail shop plays the 80's radio stations.

    This song is awesome

  • Best !!!!!

  • U2 is on Twitter. I will follow.

  • I remember listening to U2 and doing my homework... it was a must! :) Still love these guys...

  • Woah my parents love this song and I too :)

  • 2 people didn't follow...

  • The individuals that make up the band U2, never allowed their egos to become more important and greater than their music...making U2 the best band of all-time!

  • @JDCUSA Are you serious telling me that Bono never allowed his ego to become more imortant than their music?

  • @OConnellsHeros Absolutely. Their lengevity, body of work, and success speaks for itself.

  • @JDCUSA Their longevity, body of work and success speaks for itself.

  • U2 4 DECADAS... INCREIBLE

  • U2 360 Tour - Seattle. I was inside the inner catwalk pressed up against the guard rail, and out of all the songs, this was the one I remember best. Jumping up and down with the crowd, screaming out "WALK AWAY WALK AWAY, WALK AWAY WALK AWAY" with everyone else. I'll treasure that memory forever. Best first concert ever.

  • Dont make music like this anymore

  • its amaziiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnggggggg

  • I LOVE U2!!!:DDDDDDDDD<3333333333

  • That's the post-punk thing.Lots of post-punk songs have beats like this.

  • That's music! And no one can say otherwise

  • No they didn't. One day U2 will release something that didn't sound like someone elses work. Until then Oasis will still have one more original song than this.

  • No they didn't. One day U2 will release something that didn't sound like someone elses work. Until then Oasis will still have one more original song than this.

  • @DeadHadrian Oasis is blah crap music

  • 2 people will never follow.

  • The drum beat on this song is a Joy Division ripoff. I'm recalling off the top of the head here, but I think the song Transmission has the same drum beat. I think this particular beat was a Joy Division innovation.

    Cheers.

  • @Polyfusia Who cares? U2 made it better.

  • @Polyfusia That's not a ripoff. That's just post-punk.

  • @Polyfusia that could be but as a drummer i can tell you everyone steals everyones beats. especially something this simple. i mean if someone stole the beat to bloody sunday by U2 or another famous drum beat it would be noticeable. its not really ripping off because drum beats get swapped around so much. unless you come up with something really great its fair game. at least from what i am noticing

  • The song that announced this band to the world. Hearing this was revolutionary back in those strife torn days, it felt so fresh and compelling and optimistic, and the guitar playing smashed it..

  • It's Baseball Time in Arlington.

  • Comment removed

  • The second best album of 1980! the first JOY DIVION's CLOSER!!

  • I'm meeting God right now

  • in a forest, dark and deep <3

  • C'est ma chanson préférée !

  • fantastic then...fantastic now...unbelievable

  • I remember listening to this song when I was so little. :)

  • Nice song and all. Got nothing against U2, but why is a naked boy on the background?

  • @strangesthotpepper; Because the album is called "Boy" and that was the original cover, and furthermore, when it came out in 1981 people were not insane like today in that they immediately interpret such an image as some kind of paedophilia indication (not saying you do, but way too many in todays society). I guess the world has always been mad to some extent, but the "protect the children"-craze is spinning out of all control and proportions these days.

  • @strangesthotpepper Cuz that was the cover of the album.

  • @strangesthotpepper

Unless you see something we don't, he's not naked. Hell, even his chest isn't showing. Just his shoulders and arms. I mean, really?! I hope you're not some closet pedophile. If you want to see the closte thing to "naked" boys check out The Smiths album covers.

  • @strangesthotpepper the original boy album cover was intended to show an innocence, a fresh beginning.

  • I really over looked this song couldn't stand the intro but I gave it a chance and its up there as one of my favs

  • i know i heard this song in a movie, can't think of it now but if any one knows

  • @lovemyselfforever86

    The Last American Virgin

  • my favorite u2 song of all time.

  • the ultimate modern rock song!!!!!!!

  • I attended a free concert given at SJ State on their first tour. They didn't have enough material for a full concert so they played the album songs twice! They were all dressed in white and so young. So was I, I suppose. It was upstairs in the cafeteria. Very loud and very powerful. Loved it. My friend called them "another wimpy pop band." I disagreed. Guess who won?

  • @Philinspaces they actually had already made and performed over thirty original songs at that time, but they winnowed down the quantity that they would still perform at that time.

  • @ToolsnFire This concert was March 18 1981. This was the only album in release. The next album, October, didn't come out until 7 months later. Though they may have had other songs in the works this was what they had to offer.

  • @Philinspaces You gotta take into account the songs they made in 1978, 1979, and 1980 that they decided to drop from the live set by 1981. And maybe not over 30 songs, but definitely well over 20 songs by 1981,which were originals, and which they had already performed, including these that were dropped: StreetMission,PeteTheChop,AloneintheLight,JackintheBox,CartoonWorld,TheFool, Judith,SpeedofLife,FalseProphet,AnotherDay,ShadowsnTallTrees,Insideout,DreamIsOver,FatherisanElephant,InsideOut,.....

  • @ToolsnFire I guess you know your U2. I just wonder why they played all the songs on the album twice then and nothing else? Weird, eh?

  • @Philinspaces Well, are they not called U2?

  • @Philinspaces Your friend won... ;-)

  • @CyclingStartlists lol, yet here we are...

  • Their old songs are awesome. Like this, Gloria, 11 o'Clock Tick Tock, etc...

  • @codenameflame dont forget rufugee...like a song....been with them since early 80's

  • Very NEW WAVE style!

  • This is the U2 I love along w/ Gloria,Sunday Bloody Sunday,New Years Day...After Achtung Baby(and most of that I don't like) I stop liking their music.I do however think Bono will always rock. He should run 4 president!

  • its almost punk......

  • first dislike :)

  • I Will Follow...

    I Will Follow...

Great End. This is a Great Song.

  • Best song of U2, i guess :P

  • Truly one of the GREATEST songs in the history of Rock & Roll.

  • Great Song :-) from '80

  • saw them in 1983 at Joe Louis arena in Detroit. During this song the joint was totally rocking. It was incredible.

  • boy and war are my favorite albums!

the joshua tree is good too but after that became boring and shit

  • that guitar tone is amazing!!!!!!

  • @ledwhofloyd101 Yeah man! I'm not a fan of their politics, but their 'sound' is just fantastic.

  • Does anyone have any insight into what these lyrics mean? has anyone thought about it? just curious.

  • @Boredin81 I think it has something to do with his mother.

  • Your eyes make a circle, I see you when I go in them. Your eyes, ya your eyes...

    I will follow.

How can we get them to make more music like this, even if it was a few songs on an album?

  • Your eyes make a circle, I see you when I go in them. Your eyes, ya your eyes... ??

    Lol I didn't notice... that's pretty amazing

  • @AwesomeCoasters .....I see you when I go in THERE, not 'them'
