@Iarecrockit For gearing traxxas says if you use a 18 tooth pinion and a 54 tooth spur it can go 40+ with the stock battery pack, which is the set up I use. For the drive shaft you can use shrink wrap if you don't want it to get scraped up. :)

@camaromanss27 thanks. Do u have any recomendations for gearing and a mod for the front of the driveshaft on the bottom.

@Iarecrockit Well the slash will definitely give you speed. I have the regular slash 4x4 and mine will do 35-40mph with stock battery. If you go to a faster battery pack and change out the gearing it will do like 50-60mph.

@Iarecrockit It depends on what you want to do. If you want to bash the slash would be the way to go and the mini 8ight would be better if you only going to drive on a track. If it was me I'd go with the slash

I can relate to the ending of this video, using my E-Maxx brushless the other day, went to walk down a hill that was covered with snow, little did I know under the snow was all ice, twisted my ankle a bit, sometimes winter sucks!

I am in a wheelchair from an accident in 1987 and my wife is my main carer but on new years day 2012 she fell down and broke her ankle. Pre-load the rear shocks a bit more and the back end wont drag on the ground when going forward :) I adjusted the rear to 1/4 down and i can go full throttle without it hitting the ground, plus i still have plenty of articulation. Or you could just throw some stiffer springs on the back and have no pre-load at all. Nice video though man...keep it up!

@Leprechaun79 I simply adjusted the rear springs until it didn't sag too much, but it still has plenty of travel.

@BackyardBasher83 I changed out the stock 50w shock oil for 80w oil and switched the front and rear springs... Summit handles sooooo much better now.
