  • david coperfield is shit! marco tempest is sweet! very nice!!

  • hmm i dont have no explaination cus its in the same part of the day the sun dont chang umm its a trick but in by books it dont pass cus he dont lot you see him at all and he only alowes you tto see his picture so it dont pass

  • ... magnet... on klike a stick or something..

  • you dont know how to do magic...

  • CHARGE: Violating First Rule of Magic. DEFENSE: I didn't know the law, your honor.

EVIDENCE: Plays back earlier videoed Bridge visit on HDTV and then phonecams in front of it while actually standing in park below. Reveals trick outright in later Toyko Tower video.

VERDICT: Even Penn&Teller know to make a trick out of revealing a trick. Guilty as charged. Banned from mainstream magic world forever. Deported to Japan.

  • ummm you can't run hat fast from the middle of the bridge to the bottom. lol. It may be somewhat the same as the tower of tokyo trick where he had a high def tv with himself in it.

  • marco!!!

  • Great stuff, I really enjoy your videos!

  • aha..and so?

  • i can see my apartment lol

  • lol its just a magnet and he holds another magnet on the back to move the white dot magnet, and while he does so he runs/walks of the bridge to the bottom because the pictures of the bridge cover up the whole screen so u cant see if hes running anywhere^^

  • Yh its a magnet and he covers screen while running thats why postcards are shaking

But still mate, great tricks keep them up

  • HAHAHA! HE RAN FROM THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE DOWN TO THE BOARDWALK IN 30 SECONDS! Yeah, thats definitely how he did it.

  • He's a excelent actor!

  • he ran to the place lol

  • the camera was cut and he used magnets to move the white dot

  • This guy is a lot of fun!

  • ahaha he musta jumped down rofl =P

  • the white dot is from magnets.

  • at 1:24 there is a big shadow

  • zipline?

  • how dos he do it

  • man, you are very trippy.

  • the people going by him keep changing? wtf

  • the white dot seemed to be magnetic so i guess thats it cheerchick9506

  • Awsome Marco!! entertaining! Keep on makin 'em...

  • the transported man!

  • its obvious, he ran down when he was coverin screen with pic and moved the dot with a magnet ¬.¬

  • no matter how he does it, it still looks trippy as... this guy is Awesome, just let him do his thing!

  • Pah. I see most girls pull that trick when I start talking to them. ;)

    Seriously though: Awesome illusion!

  • lmfao

  • that was funy. but seriously, it happens to me too. must be a coincidence. my mom doesnt think so. well. thats what she says when we go out to the bars. she is my ride. and thats how i roll.

  • I must agree, a Star Trek transporter indeed.

  • I didn't figure it out at first, but then I figured out how he got down there. But I have still to figure out how he moved thw white dot.

  • Magnet.

  • bravo!!!

  • I know how did the white dot move... there was the magnet and the magnet on the other side too so when he slides the magnet in the back side... the white dot moves too.

  • lol easy figured it out :)

  • yeah, it's the prerecorded laptop film switcheroo (to coin a trick name). The give away is that the quality of Marco's voice changes at about 60 seconds. There he went from prerecorded voice on tiny speakers, to his real voice on the camera phone. The wind noise only helps the illusion. Even so, Marco is great at this stuff! More , more, more!

  • The white dot moves using a magnet it is not actually on the photo.

  • damn how did he do that?

  • a helicopter? that's the most absurd idea I've ever heard, but to each his/her own.

  • wow, you rock marco... and you are cute X3

  • he did it the same way he did the Tokyo Tower trick

  • i know how he did it. i figured it out. IT is pretty easy, it requires a TV i think

  • ................... ............. /' /) ................./´ /)........./¯ // ..............,/¯// ......... /...// ............./...//. ......./¯ // .........../´¯/'´ ¯/´¯ /.../ / ........./'.../... ./... /.../ // ........('(...´(... ....... ,../'. .') .........\.......... ..... ..\/..../ ..........''...\.... ..... . _.•´ ............\....... ..... ..( ..............\..... ..... ...\
  • the dot is made out of metal (or some magnet responsive material) and is moved with a magnet on the other side of the postcard

  • he moved the dot with a small refridgerator magnet from the back of the postcard

  • boooo, he used stop motion and voice overed the whole thing.

  • There's two postcards, because he has to cover the hole camera spectrum! and yes, the camera is shaking, wich indicates that he's moving!

  • the truth is some tricks are easy to figure out marco, but some are hard

  • maybe a friend moves the dot with a magnet?

  • and also, how can he move that fast? wat he jumps down and suicide?

  • look, for future reference, if u dont no something, JUST DONT SAY IT, like the tricks -_- god

  • prob was a magnet mving the dot

  • I agree about the laptop. The video in the first part looks contrasty.

  • that dot is just a magnet thing

  • pretty sweet, im really confused on how u did that

  • all u guys are wrong, come on this is simple, marco tempest can fly

  • ahha, u guys, he used a television , no he did not run down the stairs.. he was filming in front of a high definition television screen in the beginning...that time he was already on the second bridge, when he held up his picture the second time, it was the actual picture in front of the television...n e ways, watch his reveals

  • he probably had a megnet behind the picture to move the dot

  • the white dot moves with a magnet and then he walks down the stairs

  • that one is waaay to easy, you can tell hes walking down the stars.

  • He OBVIOUSLY has a teleportation device of somekind, are you people to retarded to know that?

  • The dot is controlled by magnet? Theres a magnet behind the post card and he just moved that and the dot moved too.

    (just my thory)

  • I can't believe some of you actually think this is for real. I downloaded the video so I could quickly scrub thru the video. The pitch of the ambient background is completely different on the bridge and on the ground. It's so obvious when the edit is made when he says "Let's look at the postcard". The audio is faded in on "I actually". And if you look at the postcard entering frame, he has color shifted it from the dark purplish as it enters so it matches the lighting of the bridge.

  • lol macro this is driving me crazy y dont u post the ans for this video please, i wanna know.

    gimme a hint atleast

  • notice that he is basically talking louder than usual.. cause he's trying to cover the sound of the helicopter.. its really obvious.. listen carefully.. but it was a cool trick!

  • he is moving the dot with a magnet it is so easy he also just ran down the stairs

  • nice television.

  • Awesome work! :] I am astonished! Thank you. ;]

  • Brilliant. Think outside the laptop.

  • He just went down the stairs nearby when he did the close-ups of the postcards. The image is shakey then. Also, the dot on the postcard is not truly where he is standing. Pedestrian.

  • Certainly something along those lines. But, how then, would you explain the shots just a few seconds before where he shows a shot of either bridge support with him in the middle?

  • That's still a long way to go in less than 30 seconds.

  • offly short time to go that far

  • 38 seconds u see stairs but im not sure how he moved the dot....

  • there is somethin behind the postcard its like a stick and he moves it downand the dot goes down

  • with a magnet at the back i think..

  • Those are the stares down a level its an affly short time to get form there to the dock

  • Marco Rocks!

  • I have a hypothesis that I'm going to post. If it gets posted I guess that means I was wrong. But he could have a laptop or something with the recording of the bridge part and that's what his camera phone is recording, but the last shot of the postcards are what he puts in front of the laptop. Then he takes the laptop away, and then the postcards. The girl crouching is who holds the laptop...

I don't know cause there's some problems with that theory.

  • silly suggestion

  • If you notice he doesnt move the post cards until he is there in witch he had to of got on a helicopter

  • a helicopter??? no way, you can't just land a heli in a place like that, or on the brooklyn bridge...

  • hahaha HELICOPTER

  • A helicopter? Come on, you can at least GUESS better than that...

  • Marco has a Star Trek transporter room in his back pocket. He activated it just before he started moving the dot on the postcard. Simple!

  • HAHAH! Nice one. haha. haha. Your funny.

  • Think outside the box. First, before one can think outsidet he box, one must realize that the box exists. Then, your thinking in or out of the box will be clear.

  • you didnt do it with a parashute a rope or anything like that but you slowed down the rec. but its cool because its not post editindg or pausing:D lol

  • Cancel what I said before. This is just like the "toshiba" tower.

  • The sun on his thumb gives the moment away. And yes he did pause the camera. But good thinking anyway. Well done.

  • he used a magnet that one waz to easy and then he ran down the thing to get to the bottom

  • I know how he does it!!! Watch some of his later videos (Tokyo Tower) and that helps explain.

  • what the, how in the hell did he do that

  • After reading some comments of people's observations, I think I have a kind of weird idea that explains those things. I think he might have made a video of himself on the bridge. Then in brooklyn, he plays the video and then films it with his camera, and then puts up the post cards and turns around. That'd be why the sound changes when he's speaking at the end and why his thumb looks different. It's the only thing I can come up with that works, but I'm not entirely sure that's what he did.

  • just go to the making of tokyo tower one

  • why everyone keep saying that everything what you done it's edit or cut or something like that?? if he relly do that...u can see something change....

  • the people in Brooklyn look awfully stationary to me :)

  • Heres a tip for the kids:

This trick should not be tried on a rainy day.

  • ;_; this scares me this is witchcraft (brujeria) xD!

    luv your videos!

  • I've figured out how Marco moves, what I can't figure out is how the dot moves...

  • Think about this: he sets up a TV on the dock with a video of himself saying the first half of the video, and then he steps in with the postcards, covering them up, and then moves the TV away [we know he has a crew] and has the reveal. eh?

  • He's below the bridge the whole time, holding the postcards in front of a TV showing footage recorded earlier of him on the bridge. Notice how the audio in the beginning is muffled as if it were playing on a TV.

  • So he shoots a screen which show a video of him doing the routine on the bridge, then use the postcard to change from the screen shot to real view shot to decieve you. He never was on the bridge anyhow.

  • this one was so good

  • i dont really have any ideas other than staircase. or the strange noises coming from the trick

this is covered up by the wind.

if you look carefully at 45seconds you can see that there is a small kart/tram thing that zooms past the bridge. maybe this has something to do with it?

  • The best one !!!

But it's part of the game to find the truth, so here is my try :

if you look the phonecam magic number 12 at 00:54,

you will figure out this one. He probably uses a portable DVD-player in front of the camera, then he hides it with the Brooklin Bridge photo (white balance problem...) and really appears at the end.

His rules allows pre-production, but not post-production, so everything he said is true.

  • Awesome trick.

  • Very nice. Keep up the great work, excellent entertainment!

  • You change the recording speed when showing the postcard.

  • Wow. Great trick. My best guess is that at some point, we switched from a live recording of him on the bridge to a recording of some screen showing previously recorded footage on the bridge. The post card shift would cover that. While we see that, it would give him time to haul down to the Brooklyn site (if he didn't start there in first place) and then use the post cards to switch back. There's also a shift in the audio quality around 1:03. My guess.

  • That was awesome. I couldn't figured out, but I think a key is a shadow we can see on the right at 1:25.

At first, I thought he was not in the center of the bridge and used a mobile crane, though come to think of it, it may be wrong to assume on the basis that he moved from the center of the bridge. He was on the river side from the beginning? This is hard to figure out.

  • one day you are going to be on the bridge, then you will close your eyes and when you open them back i will be in the bridge!!! o_O

  • it is using magnet to move the thing

  • the white stuff is a magnet. How he moves I dunno

  • the thing moving is a magnet. how he move i dunno

  • I got it but don't say:

    You're wrong

You want a medal you figured it out?

as YOU can see the background image changes color near the beginning. he does say thats what his PHONE is seeing but not what he is. I'm thinking a fake background maybe, one that covers 3 of 4 sides of a square? and at 1.07 you can see he's already down there... so while he's misdirecting you, they are moving the fake background away, and the postcard has a magnet behind it... notice he doesn't show his feet...

  • wow that was really good

  • that post on the bridge has the guy-wire which leads to the platform below. you are hooked onto it just prior to holding up the postcard...and there is a harness & brake on your back which can probably be controlled by someone else?

that's all i can come up with. since other people have said similar things and you didn't hide their comments, i'm guessing it's all wrong....lol :sorebrain:

  • Here's another hint to how marco did it: think outside the BOX.

  • Very clever. Look outside the "box." Nice

  • Great Illusion.

Is it possible to slow down recording on a N73? And then maybe play a slowed down recording of your own voice while your are not in the image?

  • Great Illusion.

  • DAT IS VERY GOOD

  • He films himself on the bridge, then replays while filming the real shoot on brookly side with a widescreen tv behind while he holds the postcards in accordance to audio on the tv ? I posted this earlier, but , it seems it stick...

One of the locations must be fake since he cant travel that fast.

    yes?no?

  • Thats so easy!! All he does is when he's pointing the camera at the postcard. He bungee jumps into a nearby helicopter which brings him down the Brooklyn side. Come on Marco!! Give us a challenge!!

  • I think you would have heard it.

  • LOL!!

  • Oh yes! I even heard the helicopter coming

    easy trick

  • what the hell are u talking about. i heard no chopper.

  • lol...yea to easy

  • Stumped me! LOL! Great job, looking forward to the next one.

  • I just realised something. When he is moving the dot, he is actually standing on the bottom of the bridge. The zoom function for the camera possibly?

  • he has some kind of jet pack under neath his coat and fucking flew off the bridge... yeah i knew it

  • It seems that comments actually explaining how this was done are not being approved. All I can say is that it was obvious to me what was going on the moment I started watching the video - even before I got to the trick. HINT: The more things change, the more they stay the same.

  • Easy to figure out or not, these tricks are always entertaining.

    Good Job Marco !

  • Iv'e had many camera phones.. none reached the video & sound quality of this one -- is it really a camera phone ? model # maybe :p ?

  • Nokia N73

  • Have a look in tags ... Marco seems to use a Nokia N73

  • He teleported

  • so somehow he started from on the bridge at 0:56 and at 1:05 hes on Brooklyn?

  • excellent!!!

  • Don't approve my comment if you dont want ppl to know.. I dont want to spoil it for you or your fans.. that was not my intention w/ the comment.. Keep up the good work marco!

  • Anyways here's how he did it: He made a video recording of himself on the bridge, then played the tape on a television portable dvd player of some type. What hes actually recording with the phone camera is another TV playing the recording. If you look at :51 look at the quality of his face compared to the end of the trick. So he was never on the bridge to start with, while the post cards were in front of the camera they simply moved the tv away and badabing...good trick marco! keep it up

  • Alright I guess I'll be the one to Spill the beans on how the trick was done. It's quite simple and ingenious how he did it.. PROPS marco.

  • Even before I saw the trick I thought the background looked fake. I think he made a film of the Brooklyn Bridge and then made this video in the studio with the film projected behind him. No post-production - just pre-production!

  • See what time it is. On the bridge: sun shines from south-east -> morning hours. Brooklyn: Sun from south-west -> afternoon. Also his hair is different, see the grey strand in the Brooklyn scene? I think the Brooklynm scene has been recorded earlier and was replayed on a video screen, that has been taken to the Bridge location (all you see from 1:06 is on that screen).

  • It was a Zip-Line!

  • I got it. The whole first half is prerecorded and you are filming the television. You remove the television when the postcards block the view.

  • Maybe the camera phone is just standing in front of a lcd, a TV, a laptop or something (but i guess it's a LCD coz you can't notice any refresh line) until 00:56, then the real postcard is showed and the trick is staged from the beginning in the 2nd location. the first part is just pre-recorded on the bridge...

    maybe :)

    BTW, nice trick ^_^

Kompliment !

  • It's easy - he just can run very very very fast :)

  • that made my day

  • If you want to figure it out, never forget that MAGIC is above all ILLUSION.

  • I don't understand how that one was done without pausing, but I'm sure it was! Marco is the most creative performer alive in my opinion...

  • it wasn't. No cuts...No camera tricks. Just VERY smart.

  • well all I could tell is that he is already on the dock or bank by 1:06 and while the dot moves he is already in position but other than that I dont really know how he did it good job!!

  • he was never on the bridge in the first place he was always at the place where he was at the end he used a monitor with old footage and recorded the old footage with his phone then when he put the postcards in front of the monitor he took the monitor away so it look like he magically appeared there...technically its not video editing he did do a trick

  • hi marco, everyone is saying that you paused the camera, why don't you prove everyone wrong and show us the secret??

  • Another great Phonecam magic trick.

  • He's filming a pre-filmed monitor on the Brooklyn side! He said no POST-production. He did PRE-production! Easy, easy "trick"!!

  • It was a double lift and he palmed the card!

  • I love the way you say "Brooklean"! I was born and raised there and miss it :-(

  • I like when he says "no post production"

  • That, sir. Was pretty damn awesome.

  • flat screen tv

  • this is so easy ! he invented a kinda of teleport that nobody know's !! its activated by the watch .. you just press the blue button and ! puff ! you get teleported !

    its so easy !!

damn u people cant think on the obvius !

  • lol

  • Think further. He's obviously extraterrestrian (listen to his accent!), and his civilization has had teleportation capabilities ever since... Cheap trick.

  • HaHa!

  • he covered the whole cameras view with the post cards so he could walk off the bridge

  • In less than 2 minutes? I don't think so.

  • I think he uses a recording of his voice for part of the section when the card was covering the camera, possibly to cover-up the fact that the transportation he used was too noisy to have so close to the camera. I think he took a different route down than the camera/card did.

  • kudos to listening to the peopel and doing a better trick.

  • he jumped off with a parachute

  • I love this guy :)

  • ...,thus there is no pausing or video editing, the phone really is filming from the begging to the end of the clip

  • An idea. The first part of the clip has been recorded before the rest.At the beginning, the cameraphone is filming the first part which is played on a TV screen and giving the impression that Marco is on the bridge but in reality,Marco is already at the place where he appear at the end of the clip.Marco place the postcard between the screen and the cameraphone.During this time, one of his assistant is removing the screen...

  • Really cool. I think i might know how you did it.

Listening to the Audio, you are standing on something, then you click a harness and quickly descend the bridge using a sliding wire. I can hear your short breath while taking, and direction of the wind changes.
