I love the sound from the Lemon Drop, but other Les Paul copies I have owned have had thicker necks than I prefer. What is the neck like, is it more 50s of the slimmer 60s profile. I hope I got that right. Nice playing, guess it's guys like you that sell guitars :=)
@Danthehorse no, at that price point the V100 series have flame maple veneers, over solid mahogany caps - and of course there is no need for a flame veneer on the flat colours such as black, gold, white and red.
How would a Gibson suck? No disrespect but I've never ever played on any Gibson that sucked . . . not every Gibson comes with Burst Buckers though . . . the Dirty Fingers pups are cool though!
I hear what youre saying. The 1s I played, just sounded like CRAP! Thin & dull instead of thick, dark & creamy. That sound you should get that sounds like youre plucking a piece of ROPE not some dead 80lb fishing line. (Which is what these sounded like)
TRUST me, I have played vintage LPs and SG's, & thick and creamy sounds emanated!
These 1's I played a while back were anything BUT!
I WOULDNT waste my $ on them.
I played an Indie LP copy! Exactly LIKE what an LP should sound like!
I played this very guitar! Pudsey guitar show, shame those batteries for the n-tune were dead, i've really wanted to see the n-tune in action for ages.
Great guitar though... have you changed those strings yet? ;) lol.
I've spotted a V-100 icon secondhand that im going for, amazing bang for buck. Wish i could've bought this one from you though, it played so well.
The batteries were dead? To be honest I hadn't changed them since I did the Frankfurt show, and they were still working at the Irish show in October - had you engaged the pull switch?
My boss sold my LD at Dublin - GRR!! now I need to get another,. Good luck with the V100 lugerman
These guitars are £250 aren't they? It's that fact that makes me think they are poo. Maybe I'm wrong? He's good on guitar though isn't he.

@ScrotyMcDickface thanks for your kind comments. actually, current RRP on this guitar is £429, but of course the internet has dragged pricing down.

The Lemon Drop has very nice tones, very Peter Green/Gary Moore-ish. Nice rendition of Black Magic Woman.

Good performance, a little overplayed to me but good tone coming from the guitar.

christocaster 1 year ago
@christocaster I think they are better than the standards, mainly because I think the PU's are more responsive.

WELL played/sung! This is my favourite fusion song!
Santana!
IS that LP copy mahogany backed?
Sounds creamier and thicker than late model Gibson LPs.
I've played a few, they SUCK!
