They actually experimented with your comparison of the two teams years ago in a Marvel/DC collaboration called Challengers of the Fantastic. This was a one of about twelve Amalgam Comics that combined Marvel and DC counterparts into one hero. One such amalgamation was Batman and Wolverine. They combined into a character called Darkclaw.
There are *many* parallels between Jack Kirby's Challs and his Fantastic Four. The best comparison may be:
-The FF were 4 superheroes trying to be regular people.
-The FF were 4 regular people trying to be superheroes.
