  • Come on GE you could be a massive force for good in the world but you really need to clean up your act. Pay your taxes, stop polluting, stop outsourcing jobs.

  • evn though this is a commercial for a business, its more like a short film. i love it

  • GE is now going to be competing against American workers at Boeing, because they've moved a big part of their corporation to...(drum roll please)...CHINA. GE's CEO (A DEMOCRAT in bed with Obama) is STILL ON THE COUNCIL FOR PROMOTING JOBS IN...(drum roll please)...AMERICA!! They pay 0 taxes...ZERO, and now they're axing thousands of jobs...HERE.

PLEASE BOYCOTT ANYTHING GE MAKES. DON'T BUY IT. DUMP YOUR GE STOCKS.

No wonder they paid millions into Obama's campaign. Demos use and abuse America.

  • FUCK YOU GE & FUCK YOU OBAMA.

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor

Holy crap - THAT was a killer comment. You kiss yer mama with that mouth?

Of course you do - UCSD Engineers can't get real women.

  • @timboleo how old are you? 38? Still live at home with your mom? Cheating on your wife or girlfriend?

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor

    Nope, with your mom.

  • @timboleo Figures, you are broke, & cannot even pay your own cell phone bill. You never worked a day in your life. From your response, it proves how much you & your president OBAMA are a bunch of DIPSHITs.

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor

What makes you think you know anything about me? Never worked a day in my life? What do you call working your mom every day? Awwww yeeahhhhh

  • @timboleo I rest my case.

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor

I rest my schlong in your mama's tatas. Suck it, loooosah.

  • @timboleo KEEP TALKING DIPSHIT, use all the sexual profanity you want. It reflects your low character & assholes like you that voted for OBAMA & OBAMA himself.

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor

    weak. very weak.

  • @timboleo Weak like your sexual profanity arguments sounding like a stupid horny teenager.

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

C'mon, Doc, you can do better than that.

Unless you're not a real doc...

  • @timboleo Your actions does all the talking for me.

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor Actions does? Not big on grammar, eh? Don't worry, "doctor" - you'll get it someday.

  • @timboleo What is "eh"? Hopefully you can learn to spell.

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor You don't know what "eh" means? For real?? Man, you've got some learnin' to do.

  • @timboleo You mean "learning?"

  • @UCSDEngineerDoctor Nope - learnin'. The apostrophe ( ' ) takes the place of the letter "g" to represent a different way of saying the word.

General Electric should pay its taxes.

  • now this is what i call a good commercial

  • I fucking hate GE for helping the radicals in the white house >:(

  • @gamefreak1000000 yes nothing worse than radicals . . . . . radical towards what exactly?

  • @gamefreak1000000 wow you sound a little radical yourself. Tone down your idiocy and just enjoy the commercial for what it is. Wind energy was popular way before Obama was elected.

  • Such a sweet and innocent commercial. I wish there were more of these kinds of commercials than the ones on TV that make no sense whatsoever.

  • Anybody take note of how much carbon based energy was burned to get that boy to the party with his jar of wind? That probably tells more truth about the fickleness and expense of wind and solar than the sweet music and humorous situation would have us believe.

  • Whenever I hear this song, I think of windmills now. :-)

  • anyone else see the subliminal message from nbc?

  • @Audioslave6556 the jews own it

  • This is truly one of my all time favorite commercials ever! Thank you for posting it! :-)

  • I can definitely see wind power supplementing the grid but I don`t see how it can replace it.

    1 Ordinary Wind Turbine - 1.5MW

    1 Ordinary Coal Plant - 1300MW

    1 Ordinary Nuclear Plant - 1200MW

How many wind turbines do you need to displace one coal plant? How much land does one wind turbine need? What is more reliable; 1 coal plant or 1000 wind turbines? You do the math.

  • @Allante715 You do the math; bitch. LOL

  • @Allante715

    1) Wind farms tend to have less of a down time than coal plants on a year by year basis and don't fail instantly when they fail

    2) How much does it take to extract the coal, much less how much of an environmental impact does it have and how long can we maintain doing it as we are

    3) Wind turbines are getting more and more efficient we should be moving towards renewables being a base load and conventional as back up as time goes by.

  • @garith21 But they only work when the wind blows - what will be done to provide energy when the wind is still? Oh yeah, and how much does each kilowatt hour cost compared to coal and gas? And, uh, how many jobs have been exported from Europe since they mandated their form of cap and trade? Hmmm...? Maybe no so good afterall, especially since the "science" that was supposed to prove CO2 was causing global warming. Now we know the earth has been cooling since 1998.

  • @growlingrizzlybear

    1) The wind is always blowing somewhere, and in some places it blows more than others, wind farms also still have less down time than coal plants, using an integrated grid and energy storage facilities during times of low demand will help

    2) Actually wind has been getting comparatively better since you know, upkeep costs are relatively non existent in comparison to keeping constant supplies of coal and technology is constantly getting better.

  • @growlingrizzlybear

    3) Since our general energy consumption seems to be going up how long do you think we can continue burning our limited supply of fossil fuels without relying on renewables in the long term?

    4) Only as long as you, I don't know ignore the data, the science has shown that the moving average has increased globally over the last few decades and is no different since 1998 in that stance.

  • @growlingrizzlybear

Since you wanted to bring up Europe are you aware that in Germany there are times when wind generates so much power that they actually have paid people to keep their lights on to use excess energy since they lack the many energy storage facilities that could be used to store the energy. When is the last time you've ever been paid to keep your lights on with coal?

  • @garith21 Why is it that the only way "alternatives" can be used is when they are substantially subsidized by government? There have been attempts to us alternatives since the Carter years and all they have done is waste money. Are you thinking we need wind, etc., because we will run out of fossil fuel or because fossil fuel causes global climate change?

  • @growlingrizzlybear

    1) Fossil fuel is a limited resource and we in fact import most of our oil.

    2) CO2 emissions are the primary cause of climate change over the last few decades

    3) We should be moving towards new technology that is long term sustainable while using conventional power plants as back up if we want to be more energy independent and the sooner we work towards it the less we'll have to sacrifice later.

    4) Why did you respond to absolutely nothing in my previous posts?

  • @growlingrizzlybear

    5) You do realize there are many independent private companies that deal with wind right? The industry is actually growing relatively quickly but when we're talking about fixing the national infrastructure it's natural that its government who's going to get involved.

    6) Wind is not the only alternative energy source, Bill gates for example is working on a project of using spent fuel cells from normal nuclear power plants as fuel for a different nuclear power plant.

  • @growlingrizzlybear

    1) There are many wind and other alternative energy companies in existence, but when we're talking about revamping the national infrastructure of course government's going to be involved.

    2) Fossil Fuels aren't limitless, most of it is imported and the more we use the worst it gets in that respect

    3) CO2 emissions are responsible for the most recent climb in global temperatures.

  • @growlingrizzlybear

    4) It's cute you want to focus on 1998 which is a known outlier of having a combination of having a high TSI and an abnormally strong el nino and assert it's cooler now than it was then, ignoring that there are other temperatures globally that are warmer without having the benefit of both outliers and that no AGW proponent assert that CO2 is the only driver in climate, merely that it's responsible for the upward trend over multiple decades.

  • @loganpete11

The Nazi party wasn't even around when GE was created...

  • "is'nt it a conflict of interest, if a media corporation,(MSNBC), which is owned by GE(general ELECTRICS), is smearing oil companies on a daily basis, which just happeneds to be thier biggest rival to the production of power? they also support global warming,... "

That's why all the media outlets they own are just one big info commercial to Berry Obama. If you have the president of the US in your pocket, you can force people to buy this crap

  • I wonder GE''s wind energy breaks down as often as their home appliances. heir products are horirble and their customer service is even worst.

  • is'nt it a conflict of interest, if a media corporation,(MSNBC), which is owned by GE(general ELECTRICS), is smearing oil companies on a daily basis, which just happeneds to be thier biggest rival to the production of power? they also support global warming, the green movement, cap and trade<(which would cap how much companies can emit green house gasses, also giving GE BILLIONS),and stimulous bill<(which gave BILLIONS to the green jobs and solar and wind power, that GE just happeneds to make)hmm...

  • this TV ad for entirely filmed in Chile .. the bridge that appears on the 15th second is on the River Maule (near the town of Constitución)

  • Nice commercial, however GE home appliances are the worst. Don't ever bother buying one. They are truly horrible and their customer service is even worst.

  • it didnt work

  • Does anybody know where was this ad filmed?

  • This is the most love-filled minute you can watch. The technology is secondary to this beautiful little film. Look at the boy's face as he walks along with his jar of wind smiling.. have you ever felt that silent, happy anticipation while bringing someone you adore a gift ? Love, love and love some more.

  • The most efficient theoretical source of energy would be to tap into the power that drives Chuck Norris, though this may unleash untold dangers and bring forth the apocalypse.

  • forget about wind energy, that was good vidio with a bob dylan song raine

  • Love the commercial. Love the song. But the description of this video is inaccurate; wind energy is not the cleanest, and is far from efficient (as it is not a consistent source). Nuclear energy is the most efficient and cleanest energy source, as there is 0 (as in zero) emissions.

People are just scared by the word 'nuclear', because they instantly think 'bomb'.

  • @gtchamp7

Ya! I remember Tsjernobyl... and it is still affecting the environment i live in. And You also forget the "clean" waste from nuclear power... Im not scared, but it is scary....

  • Actually they think radioactive spent fuel rods.

  • Wind energy costs more than it outputs. If you add up all the maintenance it would take 20 years for a wind farm to ever be cost effective, the energy it takes to make the damn things puts a bigger footprint on the earth than they will ever wipe out >GE is the biggest democrat backer of all the big corps.Follow the money

  • The thing i like about wind energy is the fact that it sounds easier to capture than having to mine for some other source of energy. I think the who global warming thing is bullshit. But the idea behind wind and solar energy is awesome because it is cheaper (except solar, those are expensive to make). imagine having a windmill next to your house that plugs straight into you high torque output electric vehicle (tesla roadster). I hate spending a shit load of money on gas. <3's GE.

  • Energy Atveny, developed from scratch, but created by God for us to enjoy the God Fa Hua main reason for their existence

  • i love this commercial

  • Tell me, if wind power is so great, why does tiny Denmark have 6,000 turbines, and yet they still rely on fossil fuel power?

In fact, their CO2 emissions INCREASED in 2006, which implies their coal plants are working harder than ever. Maybe picking up the slack of unreliable wind?

Compare Denmark to the U.S.: How many wind turbines will WE need, if they can't get even 20% from 6,000?

Wind power SOUNDS nice, but can it ever really be practical?

  • Even 1 single piece is practical!

  • They didn't take any plants offline in the first place so why would they need to work harder? Wind is currently just a supplement. Futhermore the increased energy used is still less than what it was in 2003. Wind isn't a substitute its a supplement.

  • if we could harness some type of invisible energy such as antimatter. Or find a way to make fusion work. That IS and would be the true practical form of energy since it might almost be unlimited .

  • hey epidemon- why don't we harness your head and turn it into energy since you're obviously not using it posting garbage like that. Geez, you're an idiot!

  • "Geez, you're an idiot! " Hmm. This might be the indication of a fat chick talking to me. Either that or it's a little kid. Why don't you find a way to either grow some balls or stop menstruating all over the fucking place. Dipshit.

  • I'm a fat chick and get more play than you ever will. I'd break you man.

  • what the hell is this fat bitch talking about?

  • THey are actually working on a way to store surplus wind energy so it is avalible when there is no wind or to strong a gust to use the turbines. All extra energy will be used to run a compresser that will fill dedicated tanks underground to extream pressures. They will then let the air excape and have the excaping air run turbines, when there is no avalible wind engery. Pretty creative way if you ask me.

  • We need to let them know that we are aware of the fraud that they have engaged in. The fact that money and power has removedthem from their status as a trusted American company. We need to let them know that we know by choosing what we buy more carefully. I like the trick they play by adding a Dylan song to this... All the radical 60's helped pushed us where we are now. The other day my baby-boomer brother in law tried reflecting upon his memories of Woodstock. I told him to stick a sock in it.

  • its actually donovan that sings this song

  • You're a bad person.

  • WTF i want one of those jars...

  • @SupaSaiyajinNaruto get out of here noob

  • @truegwbfan How 'bout you shut the fuck up because it was a joke?

  • So when the wind is not blowing, what is the backup energy source? The local fossil fuel generating station? How is that replacing the building for "Demand" vs Green?

  • @wsoxman the hydroelectric generators provide good backup when the wind isn't blowing.

  • Sure hydro is good backup...........IF YOU LIVE BY A LARGE LAKE OR RIVER with a Dam. Geeez

  • General Electric is lead by a NUT. They are in the tank for the Democrat Party platform, ONLY to reap the $billions in the sale of their own products and services. Talk about "special interest groups" GE the poster child with their MSNBC Far left politics. Both are in the toilet for investors and viewership.

  • There is nothing far left about green energy or demonstrating how idiotic people like John Boehner, Glen Beck or Dick Cheney are

  • What do Boehner, Beck and Cheney have to do with Voodoo Science? Don't shoot the message. Debate the facts. One fact is that GE will make $billions in profits at the cost to the taxpayers. Now go plug in a compact MERCURY FILLED light bulb. Me, I'm going out to start my gas lawn mower.

  • @wsoxman Mercury filled light bulb? do u make them urself? can i have one?

  • Great Song!

  • lol

  • Boycott anything GE. This piece of shit company owns NBC. Co- pilots of obamas socialist programs.

  • socialist!! BOO!! hahahaah

  • They cut the part where Immelt and Obama come out of the floor and rip the heart out of the family and eats them :)

  • the best ads i've ever seen

  • If you haven't noticed...Anytime you pass one of these wind farms, at least half of these windmills are stopped. Does that mean that we can't use half of the electricity produced? My ranching friends say that (all) windmills are high maintenance, and there is no getting around that fact. Besides, the typical duty cycle of a windmill is about 20% active, 80% inactive, (no wind).

  • Not sure where you heard this from but it is all false they are usually 90% active and 10% inactive. maintenance is usually just a check every 6-12 months they are very reliable. I will say though it is new so it will get better as the years go on.

  • It depends on where the wind mills are. They need to invent windmills that can may be stay aloft in the air like near the jet stream or on buoys in the oceans. They can collect massive amounts of wind energy if they do.

  • the whole jet stream ones are a bit difficult but if they can invent wireless electricity(which they are working on now) then it could be possible. The ocean one they do have and have installed they have installed some in NY harbor (strong current) and it has been very successful so they do have the ones for the ocean/river even a lake if there is a current.

  • the name is try and catch the wind it was sung by donavon, but written by bob dylan you can get the whole song put in donavon then this song , i hope i spelled this right raine

  • Does anyone know the name of this song?

  • I disagree. You can easily build your own solar and wind system. Feel free to contact me for guidelines.

  • A lot of people are starting to use homemade Magnetic Generators to power their homes. They are easily built using the plans at:

    magniwork-review.blogspot(DOT)com

  • GE = GARBAGE ENTERPRISE.

The company is run by crooks. Amanda Terkel, Faiz Shakir, and Satyam Khanna run a blog that is sponsored by GE to promote its policies.

    Its truly a disgraceful organization.

  • G.E IS GOOD FOR THE PEOPLE. Elephants get nothing out of G.E which is why they hate it.

  • This exquisite video elevates the production to the level of fine art.Even the expression of each actor is beautifully choreographed to coincide with the spectacular surprise ending.

  • Yea, but the company is still trash..............

ALSO, this commercial is a remake or RIP OFF from one made in 90s.... GE ?

  • is that a real song if so whats the name?

  • Catch The Wind by Donovan.

  • GE is a pathetic hack company that is in bed with Obama and the Iranians. They spit on the Constitution every day.

  • They are HUGE so you cant really do anything about it!!

  • A lot of huge companies have failed. Look at AIG and GM right now. Obama owns them both.

  • Yeah because if he didn't both of them would go bankrupt and put thousands of people out of work!!

  • the music in this version is much better than the new version, i wish they hadn't changed it.

  • my dad works at GE

  • I think most of these "Cute" comments are done by the GE P.R. production line. Pump out those feel good comments for the lemmings to read!

  • Cute! more practical: I slashed my electric bill in half! look here: solar.xfollow.me (Copy to your browser's address bar)

  • And, , , this is supposed to replace gasoline ???

    what a load of crap

  • GE = General Electric, Wind energy is electricity. Right now most electricity in the states and world is coal. more wind power less coal less butt fucking of nature. Cars can be ran off of electricity. so yes. in time wind, geothermal, tidal, and solar energy will replace gasoline as transportation power.

  • There is no way a windmill will replace gasoline!

What am I supposed to do? Put a windmill on top of my car?

    Good grief!

  • What the hell?! what am i supposed to do put a barrel of gasoline on top of my car? no... Wind spins the wind energy turbines and generates electricity. you can plug your car in at night and get up to a couple hundred miles per hour with newer electric versions. you don't put a wind mill on top of your car ass hat.

  • Ah, you cant make a logical argument, so, typical, you resort to name calling.

Strapping a barrel of gasoline to your car possibly makes you a terrorist!

    Windmills will NEVER replace gasoline!
