  • Sounds awesome man ! Is that a delta flow 40 or an original 40 ?

  • got a borla header with flowmax muffler gutted the cat and sounds pretty mean not this nice but still mean

  • Anybody ever find out what 40 series his muffler is?

  • so, its not street legal without the cat is it???

  • @yagerbombs187 who gives a shit how are you going to get caught?

  • @XyenkocamaroX haha good point!

  • is this just the muffler?

  • Whats that for tires?

  • I thought yj's had the 4.2's

  • @will4h26 from 87-90 they had the 4.2 with the carb, but from 91 to the present day they use the 4.0 FI

  • Them some bad manjamas~!!!

  • i have this on my 2011 camaro ss it almost sounds the exact same except mine are duals

  • is it just the 40 series muffler or the whole cat back system?

  • sounds like a v8 when you are baraly on it the it sounds like a tuner when you are on it that is so sick dude

  • Nice Car What is the name and the dates of the Tires?

  • When you bought you flowmaster muffler, what model did you get?..because on their website it won't allow you to pick Jeep's as the model for the 40 series....

  • Ya sure that your still running a 4.0.. Sounds to damn good to me

  • anything else done to it?

  • Thanks for this video dick, now I can't stop watching it!!!

  • im redoing the exhuast on my grand cherokee I6, what do you thing would sound better the 40, super 44 or the delta 50? and which series of 40 are you running on yours?

  • wow, Im planning on upgrading the exhaust on my 94 YJ. I was thinking about straight piping it, looks like its gonna be a flowmaster instead. Awesome Jeep man, just read that it has 230k miles.. Respect for that

  • Hell Yeah! I'm on it!

  • This has GOT to be the BEST sounding JEEP on youtube. Awesome job man.

  • are those nitto's i see?

  • Did you leave the Cat Convert er on?

  • are u running cats back? wats the exact setup u are running cause im getting an exhaust system and need tips

  • Absolutely SICK, I've watched your vids and a whole lot of others and yours is the only 1 that sounds that good. I think your holding out on us, it's cammed isn't it...LOL

    SWEEEEET Sounds man

  • Hey do you have a JF account? I'd like to check out your build if you've got one.

  • @1sickyj do you have the cat removed?

  • flowmaster makes one of the most free flowing mufflers you can buy

  • thats is one NICE sounding jeep!

  • Nice sounding Jeep. I just finished smearing exhaust cement all over my rusted out, POS Cherokee's muffler. It's just a winter beater...my Mustang GT has Flowmasters though ;-)

  • sounds awsome, just got my flowmaster on love that sound !!

  • is that a super 40? delta? or original 40 series?

  • nice sounding jeep man! i want to say the best ive even heard! i have heard other 40 series but none sound as good as that! what'd you do?

  • @Blarneystoner211 You are correct sir.

  • HAHAHAH! I love the diff cover, mine is the exact same colour (Chevy orange is what I'm seeing)

  • What exactly did you do to your jeep to get it to sound like that. I'm trying to make my 1991 4.0 sound like that

  • can you pass marda with that?

  • What year?

  • you saying you removed the cat?

  • @mattrat84 no i think he means he lost it

  • man i put a flowmaster 40 on my tj a month ago, with a magnaflow cat. The cat is 2.5 in 2.25 out, with the flowmaster and tail pipe being 2.25 in and out and it's not at all loud, or as deep as your jeep im alittle disapointed now. But my exhaust still sounds pretty good though it's just not loud outside the jeep.

  • is this a delta flow or an original 40?

  • @jakemenard yes, delta, series, original, classic, etc. what is it?

  • i got a chrysler 8.25 out of a 2000 cherokee that ill sell ya has 3.55 gears 125 bucks and its yours

  • You should upgrade the rear axle. Get rid of that dana 35 it is nothing but junk. I even broke the shafts with the old 4.2L. Then I upgraded to Mosiers but broke them too. You might be able to get away with some alloys but don't hold your breath. J

  • ahh... mine is deff getting this upgrade! lol thanks for the info brotha.

  • sounds awsome!!, is your check engine light on due to no cat?

  • that sounds so neet.

  • i know this is a 40 series but what part number

  • I love the sound of Flowmasters but they are not free flowing:(

  • @Jevy383383 yeah so bring out your wrangler and I'll pull bus Length on you no prob and I have almost 230k on her now. It flows damn well is what I'm gettin at

  • @1SICKYJ I know for a fact that the 4.0l is a great motor but will not out run my Chevy 383 stroker (400hp) Edelbrock performer intake, Iron Eagle heads, roller rockers. Even the Avenger super charger for the 4.0 isn't a challenge.

  • @1SICKYJ i doubt it unless you regeared it

  • @Jevy383383 If its loud.... it flows well

  • Comment removed

  • idk why people think these arent 6 cylinders...my wrangler sounds just like this

  • thats badass, got me drooling all over myself, ive been looking at exhaust for my 4.0 yj, and i just found it, did you buy it as an exhaust kit? or have it fabricated by a local exhaust shop? please send me details, thanks

  • is that an all exhaust system or just a muffler?

  • @Morrisboy3 It's all mandrel bent 2.25 w/o a cat n the 40series.

  • @1SICKYJ

    Whats a Mandrel?

  • That sounds awesome, way cleaner than a straight pipe.

I love the sound of a jeep ho4.0 sounds like a fuckin cummins

  • DAMN!!! That's nice

  • ahh i love it. a 6 cilinder jeep that sounds like a 67' corvette.

  • @fluxxcapacitor Thanks man.

  • @fluxxcapacitor I was thinking that when he first started it up. My dad had a 1966 Vette with an Offenhauser tri power set up and rocket side pipes. That car had a nice low rumble when you would cruise it but it was darn right LOUD when you opened the three duces.

  • theres no way a 4.0 can sound like this!

  • @xxxBAM77xxx

    What is it then lol.

  • @1SICKYJ I have no idea haha but it sounds to beast to be just a 4.0

  • @xxxBAM77xxx it is definatly a v8

  • @xxxBAM77xxx well if you think about it it is quite possible you see its a 4.0 l straight 6

has bigger bore and pistons then a 5.0 (ford 302) or 5.7 (chevy 350) small block see 4.0 litres for 6 pistons as a posed to 5 litres for 8 so its pretty easy

  • @xxxBAM77xxx not true! My 93 High output 4.0 has stock exhaust and it still sounds mean.

  • what chamber

  • sounds awesome man

  • Explain To Me What You Did With It....Message Back

  • what year is this jeep?

  • dude your jeep sounds so much better than mine and we have the same set up.

  • what size pipe? header or manifold?

  • It's all 2.25 inch and that was with the stock header and no cat. Now is has a banks header and it made a big difference in power and sounds great.

  • Nice sounds really good, those inline 6 cylinders are powerful engines.

  • How much was all of it?

  • ooffff sound like a v8

  • what all are you running on your yj? like tires and lift?

  • The lift is a BDS 3.5 kit and the tires are 33x12.50 BFG muds.

  • @1SICKYJ I had the same tires and a 4" lift. But I gave them away cause they were just too big. Nice xhaust though! sounds great!

  • i had the same set up on my 99 TJ. stock piping, cut out the cat, drilled a hole for the O2 sensor and welded in the 40 series and a tail pipe. i loved that jeep.

  • What happened to it.

  • i made the horrible, horrible mistake of selling it

  • Sorry to hear that man.

  • do u have anyhting else done to this or just a 40 series flowmaster exhaust. and what size engine a 4.0?

  • Nice

Would u mind me asking what exakly do h have on the motor and pipeing

  • No cat with the flowmaster and 2.25 in piping that was it at the time of the vid. I just did the banks header and now it's even beter.

  • basically its just a 40 series. and not the delta flow?

  • where did you order your exhaust from. and is there any other things in the naming or is it just the flowmaster 40 series for a wrangler?

  • What do you do with the 02 sensors after you remove the cats?

  • thats the identical set-up as mine, and sounds identical. so i'm guessing you don't have cats in yours either?

  • Damm right I tore shit out b 4 I even put it on the road and now I just did the banks header and it made such a difference in both sound and power.

  • @1SICKYJ are you running stock size piping with the flomaster or larger size pipe?

  • It's all stock size 2.25 I still don't know why it sounds like this I've never heard another sound the same.

  • nice sound man!! kinda sounds like the catalytic was cut out, was it?

  • The O2 is on the down pipe just after the header so there's no prob when removing the cat.

  • how does it sound inside the cab? really noisy or pretty tame?

  • No not at all but that's the way I like my toys to sound loud.

  • 2000 tj wrangler

    4" lift

    35" tires

    K&N air filter

    throttle body spacer

    chipped

    3 1/2" exhaust

    thats my baby :)

  • hi! first i like the sound of your tj! I have a 98 tj sahara that need a exhaust system and i would like my jeep to sound like yours. would you tell me in detail what did you put in it exacliy and how mutch it has cost you plesse. I'm only 16 years old and this is my first jeep so i would like it better if it would sound like this!!!

    thanks for your help,

    pascal l.l

  • is there a cam in it and still the 4.0l?

sounds sweet. may have to do the exhaust on my TJ

  • Nope that's the stock cam just intake and exhaust. I don't why it sounds that way I've never heard another 4.0 sound like mine.

  • btw is there any cam in it? ive seen some other deltas that sound smooth how did you make it choppy if no cam?

  • thanks greatly appriciated

  • can you do another video like this one? maybe a different angle im really thinking about getting this muffler i just want to hear it differently thanks

  • Yes I will I just need sum time. But I will do it

  • sounds NICE!! do you have anything else done to it besides the muffler?? and how long has it been on there??

  • Just an intake and the exhaust that's all now she has 220k miles and still running strong.

  • sounds awesome!! i might get one for mine!

  • Great Sound!!!!!!!

  • Thanx

  • love that sound!!!!

  • I have a 2000 wrangler sport 4.0 and im looking to get a exhaust system put in.. and suggestions?

  • what type are those tires?

  • BFG mud terrains

  • what is the part number of that muffler? and what headers?

  • Just a flowmaster delta 40 with no cat and stock header.

  • any problems with not having any back pressure? im really thinking about doing this to my YJ...have you had any noise issues with the police or anything?

  • I never had a prob with the back pressure I just lost a little power

down low but it pulls harder up top then b4. As far as noise issues I've never had a prob yet and it's been that way 4 five years or so

  • cool thanks man how about driving on the road/highway is it load in the cab?...im thinking about doing dual side pipes with the delta

  • It's loud inside but is sounds good. On the highway u can hear it but the radio/wind noise drowns it out a lil bit.

  • Ok so I made a point to watch my tach and I actually run about 1750 RPM at 55 MPH in 5th gear so better than I thought.

  • I'm pullin 2k @ 55 but that's cause the 4.10s and 33s

  • Very nice I'm hoping to lift mine soon, probably looking at about 4 inches but who knows.

  • Save and go with either BDS or Rubicon Express both are worth every penny.

  • dont get rough country......they are good price for the lift kit but the front springs always sag i have had mine for 3 months and the front sagged 4 inches so its back to stock there...although i was still under the warrentee of 90 days and they gave me a new set that are supposed to be better

  • aw hell,id just drive the cummins all the time,i thought jeeps would have gotten better then that since they are light.

  • They do get better I have no idea how he gets so bad, I have a TJ though and his looks like a YJ which could explain it, the main reason they get bad is the gearing, they are lightweight and have a 6cyl but are geared aggresive, if I go 55 on the highway in 5th gear my engine is running 2k to 2.5K rpm idk exactly since I'm to busy enjoying the jeep to be concerned about gas. I think I get just over 20 highway and just under 20 city if I drive real nice.

  • yea it a jeep, who cares if they get good mpg, they are nice to have, just enjoy witht the soft top of and just havin fun

  • Damm right havin fun and wheelin is what it's all about.

  • I have 210k on my yj with 4.10s and 33s shifting at 2k doesn't do me any good don't get me wrong I still drive the thing every day it jus sux on gas.

  • i get around 10-12 city and 15-18 highway in my yj with 5.25 inch lift and mud tires wiht a 6 cylinder 5 speed

  • sounds real good,,,how is it on gas?

  • It sux What do you think it gets.

  • idk,it cant be that bad can it?

  • Yes mabye 10mpg highway and about 15 city drivin her easy. My 10k lb dually cummins gets over 20 go figure

  • did u just gut your cat, gut your cat and put a pipe inside it or completely remove it?

  • I completely removed it.

  • Which 40 series?

  • The Delta flow

  • what year is this jeep? and what is the name of this exhaust?

  • It's a 95 with a 40 series

  • hey thanks for the replay about the mufflers!

  • Ah, no cat.....that's why it has more rumble than mine.

  • sounds great!

  • coool,,,sound,,,dude,,wat,,is,,the,,,name,,of,,it

  • another stupid question...do u need mor gas?

witth this exhaust system and pls give me the link where i can find sth lije that

    thx

  • yess you do, u actually would need it bored or have a turbo or superchger. it's really a waste of jeep to take out a cat. u just need a highflow one with a smaller tailpipe than everyone likes, then u will be the man try a pace wilol know it,lol its fast as hell, I have itesetter header with a highflow cat and a flowmaster and a2 inch tailpipe. u will be the boss,i have it

  • thats what the true offroader sounds like!

  • sounds great!!! no cat huh?? did u notice a difference in power from stock exhaust ???? love the tone

  • Thanks I did notice that it felt a little better above 4k with the flowmaster and no cat combo.

  • Comment removed

  • the pacestters are best all around or for offroad, and low end, and the clifford header sounds BADASS, and gets great mileage but is better for mid range gains, but will run sick on the highway and in mud with wheel spin. just trying to help, you'll damage your exhasut valves with no cat and that pipe size in back, trust me,and your losing power and mileage, sounds awesome though, and I know damn well, running open like that can give u the right pedal softness in the woods

  • I was looking at the banks only because of the construction. welded 360* on both sides of the flange.

  • hey i have a 92 efi 4.0 that i am swapping into my 89 YJ.

i bought some banks headers and the monster exhaust to go with it and a magnaflow cat.

will mine sound as good as this?

  • lol, no but it will sound badass, but quiet

  • that header cracks too, u need a clifford or a pacestter and DONT coat it with jet hot or ceramic,it will crack fast and heat the hell outa everything

  • you said only a k and N, without the cat it almost sounds as good as with headers. I'm a 4.o maniac.I had to find some guy in australia who is the expert to get the answers for the proper build. Throw high flow cat in there at least, or a quality after market reg cat if you want more low end tourque and around town mileage. It will have a ton of power. if you run the highflow, slap some headers on there, the best also happen to be about the cheapest, which are pacesetters, they have the right length

  • hey,

I have a 2004 Wrangler and want a great sound like that. It's a 4.0L 5speed bone stock. Any recommendations??

  • headers are the step if you want real sound, a header makes the difference between a flowmaster sounding like a tin can and a thunderbox, don't buy an aftermarket 2.5 pipe, its soundish, but its garbage. the proper pipe size is 2 and a half inches before the cat and 2 and a quater after the muffler, which GIBSON does properly, but you need mods to match a 21/4 properly if have a better muffler, especially if you have a highflow cat

  • given that,if you really want the secret, try this for starters, run a pacestter or clifford, and then run a magnaflow cat, a flowmaster super 44,and a 2 inch tailpipe, and dont let the exhasut guy talk you into 21/4 or 2.5, match that with an AEM cold air, throttle body spacer, and evntually firepower ignition, and just leave it as is,everyone will be jealous and start questioning how you did so well with a small pipe.trust me,seriously, lol it will snap!! and scream on the highway and peel out

  • I would especially up the tire size at least an inch, especially if u mod the motor, otherwise you'll be trowing away gas mileage. stock u want a tad larger,if u mod it,your throwing away power that can be used to torn the car further per rpm, meaning farther on less gas. take a stock cherokee and put 30,9.5s on it and you can get like 375 miles to a tank, and I hit 445ma tank with mods and stock tires, and more with 30s

  • I like the flowmaster but the borla also sounds great it just wasn't loud enough for me so if you want loud go with flomaster if you want mild go with borla

  • or banks monster its pretty mild and rumbles nice....search it

  • WHat a great sound

the AMC I6 engines are the best I6 engines ever

  • I agree. I love the 4.0 straight 6...will run forever!

  • Does it still have the cat? any mods not listed? sounds amazing...

  • Thanks it has no cat and only a K&N intake kit.

  • Your Wrangler sounds beautiful man, and I like those wheels and tires, I am 16 and I have a guy whos gonna sell me an '01 Wrangler lifted a few inches and with an exhaust system ( I dont know the name)

  • Thanks. Kool man good luck with buying that jeep dont worry about the milage I have over 200k on mine and it still runs fine.
