  • How susceptible is the pink foam to warping? Used a type of styrofoam of the project I'm working on now, and it warped! I need to find a new base.

  • @GreenAiden555 the pink foam doesn't warp.

  • great vid but you can use styrofoam is great for shapping lots of different if you get the right shape and thickness.

  • where do you buy that foam, i im searching for it but i cant find :( , in what kind of shop???

  • using a knife on polystyrene will blunt the knife very quickly - use hotwire and use it outdoors :P

  • drop a match on any kind of foam makes a cool looking burned crater like a fireball of something... speedy details

  • pretty crappy

  • @pimpinisanart make something better and upload a video of you doing it, if not STFU

  • Don't breathe in the foam fumes when you cut! Toxic stuff.

  • would a wood burner work instead of hotwire cutter?

  • @Flipzsd2 hmm, not sure. You can use a hobby knife. That will work.

  • sooo realistic :P

  • I Hate Those Kind Foam that Comes With Big Products!!!! Coz It Makes My Ears Ring With Their Squeaks!!!!

  • very very nice finished piece here!

  • The white stuff makes great concrete walls... add a layer of basecoat 'texture' paint.. paint/glue/touch of plaster, it fills all the hollows.

Works WELL for crumlbed conrete walls. :)

  • Have you ever used the hot wire tools by Hot Wire Foam Factory?

  • that pink foam would be great for a train setup!

  • @Pier2pie Yes definitely would be great for a train terrain.

  • wonderful tutorial. thanks for the awesome ideas in the vid. -Gun

  • where you can get the pink foam???

  • Home depot, Lowes or most hardware stores. It is an insulating building material. You can also get smaller sheets of white foam at craft stores like AC Moore or Michaels.

  • @epicfantasy just an idea, since u put tanks in ur ww2 diorama, how about u imprint some tracks behind the tank treds. Liking the videos as always!

  • For my huge castle I wanted some parts to hold history of invasion and I used a big sheet of styrofoam and what I did was I hand crushed it or whatever and it made it look old and stuff.

  • Nice! Do you have any pics? Would love to post them to my website.

  • @epicfantasy

It's still not done i have to paint and I want to make a forest just outside of the city. And I think a few more months but i would be glad to send pics.

  • i actually like styrofoam for rubble the bumps i thought gave a good look of broken concrete :/

also have you done that tut on duplicating the miniatures?

  • You have a great point about the styrofoam bumbs being great for terrain. Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't done the duplicating miniatures tut yet. but it is high on my list, will definitely be doing it and looking forward to it!

  • cool :)

  • i really want to make stuff from foam but i dont know where to get it! help!!

  • DIY stores, building materials yards etc etc...

  • ok... but what DIY means? im not English xD

  • Do it Yourself. Stores with tools and materials to make things by yourself.

  • impossible to cut without a hotwire. . .

  • an easy way to make a hot wire is to get a metal pole ang end it to a 90 degree angle then with a jounior hacksaw cut a little segment out of it so it liik like a u with a really small middle section a get a metal piece of wire and make a knot at the top and hook it round the incision the attach it to the bottom of your board that should be wood 1 inch thick or thicker attach a 9v battery to the end of the wire and the pole there you go you have a table top hot wire

  • loooks raeal eal nice !

  • The speaker foam looks like the colesium in Rome :D

  • I remember reading some Mag. and it had a blow torch and a ball of foam and you burn the foam barely on the top in different places and then paint it brown and the craters you created with the blowtorch color that black and you can make a meteor

  • you should pit some houses at the bottem of the castle

  • its called a hobby. he doesnt have to grow up its something that any age can do.
