  • He kept the the beat, but where are the musical breaths, the pauses, the passion? Crescendos and decrescendos. There is a balance between skill and passion. I was taught by a very easygoing teacher therefore my theory skills are not what they should be, but after seeing many kinds of pianists I've learned that in some cases I have more love for the playing...more love for the music than those who are more skilled than I am. Even if one who is very skilled loves to play they must show it.

  • @jawb0nes I think my playing at that time isn't very skilled. Though it may be more skilled than the playing of others. Today both, technical skills and passions have grown.

  • He, himself, is better than a mechrome.

  • nice played! :)

  • I think you've done a great job. You don't need to show passion. You just need to feel it. These people here just want to see a show. I can hear passion in your music and I loved it. Ausgezeichnete Arbeit!

  • Good technique. Agree about the lack of passion and feeling. Needs more punch. About the piano, looks like Yamaha U3.

  • you play it good.. every single note, but you're not feelin' it! feel free to move while you play!, enjopy the waltz! just be passionate about it and theeen you'll be playing it just perfect.. meanwhile.. its just plain ..

  • wwhy is it so slow..but the way you played it its amazing :)

  • Your interpretation of this piece is the best i've listened to so far. Beautifully played buddy! ;)

  • Klangzauberer....ignore these critics who can know totally nothing about LISTENING to piano and can only play alphabets on keyboard cause u are good just like me :). Passion / soul is to be felt and not seen. U goons expect him to dance???

  • i love this piece but yes i agree, a little more feeling would make it AMAZING :)

  • nice but u need more feeling... the bass is really important maybe u can try with the middle finger instead of the pinky.... MORE PASSION!!! this is CHOPIN... live, feel,be the valse....

  • Whats more important? passion or skill? I doubt my skill a lot but, I love the piano

  • @TheTeddyPanda Well, skills are the basics. Without skills you can be as passioned as you want but you wouldn't bring the music to sound well. But of course, playing without passion is boring.

  • @Klangzauberer They go hand in hand (:

  • I think u played it wonderful!!!! Is there a link to the music sheet?

  • no dynamics or passion... try playing the left hand with more grace. lots of potential :)

  • I like your trills :)

  • As a lot of other people have said, you played this very well, but this it lacks so much! There was no expression, nor were any dynamics (which would make this sound so much better). Also take pauses at the end of phrases, don't rush this piece because it is so beautiful. What I would like to see is a re uploaded version of this including all of what I have said and I can guarantee it will sound so much better! I hope this hasn't offended you, but you are an amazing pianist! Keep it up! :)

  • I agree with the other commenters, technically this is very successful but chopin should be played like you make love to a beautiful woman, milking it for all it's worth, attentive and passionate. That's what makes chopin great

  • Beautiful. I'm not the best leasynier but you amazed me!

  • Nice driving pace, a bit more modern...whether intentional or not. It's consistent and that is important. I could drive a bulldozer to this piece or face death against an enemy in a fighter jet at mach 3.

  • Finally!!!! Someone who plays it with the pedal and it was soo beautiful!

  • agreed, well played but need passion !! :)

  • Me encantó cómo lo interpretaste... realmente muy buena performance. Congrats!

  • I played this when I was 7 years old. And when I was 7, I obviously did not play it well. But you don't play it so great either, no offence. This piece needs a lot of feeling and expression, which you clearly don't have or don't show. If you could put more of your heart into the music, then you could play it well, and become a better pianist.

  • You seriously need to think about the piece before you play it. Gett some mental imagery going!! Don't get me wrong, you are technically good but you need to let go more.

  • You seriously need to think about the piece before you play it. \get some mental imagery going!!

  • Good technique, But where's the emotion??? Music is nothing until someone can put one's won feelings in it! I played this piece a loooong time ago, and it sounds so much more wonderful with the dynamics and ritards in the appropriate places.

  • Technically, you are very good. However, think of this as a love song, played slowly to a beautiful woman. You wouldn't say all your words to her with the same tempo and degree of loudness. Some words are soft, some are delicate. Play it slowly to the beat of your heart. You will find the real beauty of Chopins feelings.

  • 4 people misclicked the like button

  • You are the 21st Century Chopin! :-)

  • @PolishPantherNet May I doubt it =) ?

  • @Klangzauberer I am afraid no.

  • @Klangzauberer You may not.

  • @Klangzauberer no you may not

  • You played the piece without the trills. I would play it with them because it sounds a lot better!!

  • @NanouliNS he did play it with the trills. just listen to it at the beginning.

  • @NanouliNS I agree with justingo147 he did play it with the trills. I know what that sounds I'm trying to learn the piece.

  • this is a waltz, i'm sorry but it's a little bit too slow, but you got the basics pretty wells, good job.

  • i love it played like this i enjoy it to be faster and louder... the soft stuff is just too subdued

  • "played without passion: is right. Nice playing but this is a love song for some unknown Chopin love. It has to be played slower to understand that. The other things will fall in place when you slow down.

  • i love this waltz i play it too :D

  • Sounds nice, i'd like to hear it slower with the right hand harder (more melody), in pianissimo or piano (soft).

  • you are amazing. i can play this but i'm having a hard time with the trills. how did you learn them? did you practice hands separately? i'm sure i could do it separately..it's just getting the hands together that gets me. oh well..it sounds great.

  • same i have a hard time with the trills and the second part that statrs at around 0:31... can't go that fast and constant! =]

  • you played well, but don't you think it's a little bit easy for you? I played it, and it was easy... (Waltz in A Minor Chopin oct. 25) swimmingpianist99

  • I certainly agree with other on the need for dynamics not only that but rubato this piece is from the romantic era but great job learning it

  • little more dynamics and it would be perfect! how long did it take you to learn this?? im playing the exact same song right now. i play like you and when i try to add in the dynamics i mess up completly.

  • i agree with ahhuna. how can you not move without flowing? you're just playing cause it's music on a sheet. right? you did a good job though. show a little more passion into if you're actually putting feeling into it. :]

  • played without passion

  • @ahhuna he is playing with passion see he is moving

  • veeeeeeeeery beautiful piano. name?

  • where can i get the musicsheets for this song (for free, like online where i can download it and print it)? id be thankful if somebody knows...... =] please help!!

  • Chopin, 14 of His Easiest Piano Selections

    Catalog number is 28050

  • I love your performance of this piece, will never get tired of listening to it, thank you for uploading it.

  • his trills sound 10x better than mine

  • very well played! :)

  • nailed 0:39 and 0:51

  • plated it beautifully, but too make it that much better, OVER exaggerate dynamics, you held a solid mf-f, you must get those p's. great though, i hope to have it that good

  • Very nice. This was the first Chopin song I learned, and you played it beautifully.

  • beautiful. loved it.

  • pretty good. :)

    no dynamics.

    also no detail.

nice knowing that you can play it. I'm working on it. :)

  • hmm... there were no dynamics, but it waz cool

    xoxo, bonnie

  • Amazing preformance! You are very talented. You played it so smoothly, I really liked it. :) I would love to play this myself too. Just need to find the sheet music...

    Keep up the good work,

    best wishes!

  • This was magical, dear harry potter! An indeed, its realy the best performance of this waltz on utube. very clean

  • This was a beautiful performance. I am learning this song and this was an inspiration to me.

  • Gut gespielt!

Aber: Wo bleibt das Gefühlvolle?! Es ist Chopin!! Mehr Ausdruck, mehr Liebe!

  • I would love to hear you play Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu. That would make me giddy. I set it as a goal because I feel like if I can ever play that then I could play anything, haha.

  • by far the best version of this online, thanks helped me a lot on that twenty first measure

  • I remember taking this piece to my exams. It was a joy to play and I always had a soft spot for it. It was the first Chopin piece I ever learned. You did such a nice job interpreting it! Bravo!

  • Here again :) The timing is very clean, and the accents are glittering. But the ending is uniquely you.

  • beautiful. You should look at franz schubert, he has some nice waltzes.

  • Wooo! As a Pavlovian response, I started to sweat listening to you play this, my practice piece. But the higher part of me knew you wouldn't disappoint, and your ending is truly grand. Thank you for involving me, though your musicianship is what carries the tune. What a wonderful world!
