4:15 thanks... I want to choose the right kind of products from the broad band I use where I search through the browsers to get the right kinds of products from the internet which is provided by my ISP THAT which has a good home network with strict password system!!!.
Well let's say comcast slows down certain sites. In a free market people will simply unsubscribe from Comcast and go to another provider in the free market who allows them to do what they want to do. That's what having choices is all about in a free market. You think that people are going to stick with a company that blocks them from doing what they want to do? another corporation will open up and provide better service to the customers, and comcast would go broke. What's the problem? Eff sakes.
@SeeProfileForDetails how the fuck can your ISP "Slow down certain sites?" It has to do with the type of internet search engine you're using. the job of ISP is to simply supply with the Internet/broadbands. now if searches could be blocked or shown or filtered through "Broadband networking"... which can't be done.
This is getting stupid. I get what both of them is saying and they are agreeing on the same damn thing. Corporations shouldnt do what the FCC thinks they might do in the future.
I dont see how this is a slippery slope for the FCC to control the Internet? This is simple math. It says nothing about expanding power or having the power to do anything else. It just says you cant do one thing and one thing only. Now if they tried to do something else then you can shoot that down but this isnt bad.
The internet is the land of opportunity. If you let your internet provider get rid of net neutrality you will destroy any fair competition on the internet!
The internet providers don't want to treat everyone fairly they want more money! Which means any low buget web sites or content on the internet (which is how almost every web site starts) will be at a complete disadvantge. Any website could pay and have special deals with their internet provider to make sure they have faster connection than there competitor.
if george bush EVER appointed 30 czars, the public would have gone mad. but no, we have a black guy in office and we can't talk about him because he's the "savior". savior my ass say goodbye to all your freedoms
The Government has to much control as it is, and its growing and growing day by day. if they get it, and im sure they will, they will get it inch by inch.. I know that you-tube shares user habits with one of the mega corporations Time Warner I think. and its legal. They own the train lines here and in england too
Brodsky is totally wrong. The government always gets its foot in the door by supposedly protecting us in a limited way. then it steamrolls and eventually takes over total control.
its like in 1913 when they startet the federal reserve. all the banksters said they hate it, just because they knew that the public would like it if they hate it.
someone writes "ending net neutrality.." at the moment there is no official netneutrality - because of that everything works so fine. the big corporations love to be in bed with goverment - who do you think writes such a law? its the big corps which want to create a cartel of any sort.
They've been trying to circumvent the 1st Amendment for years now. If ISP's, and other corporate entities, feel uncomfortable about the people discussing sensitive issues freely, TOUGH! Don't you just love the term they've applied to it "net neutrality". Sounds so benign, doesn't it?
The Internet is the only place left where people can get real news and not the usual propaganda spread by the Jewish Zionist Controlled US media. If they were to achieve net neutrality they will have total control.
"Best suit the interests of customers" Bullshit! Anti trust laws are not-enforced against those with huge lobbying cash. Big corporations want to turn the net into cable tv where they control everything we are able to access. If they spent as much money on improving infrastructure as they do lobbying there would be no problem. Its maximizing profits while elbowing out anyone with a dissenting view.
Wow.. I wish the U.S. felt the same way about big pharma... they're blocking affordable drugs from other countries... and, yet, this shill is talking about "helping" the people? Please, anytime the U.S. government says they want to "help" that really translates into "we want control".
Don't fall for the Ron Pall conspiracy nut 'Campaign for Lunacy' conspiracy paranoia on net neutrality.
This is really just about the issue of neutrality on quality of service on multiple bandwidth services and preventing some deep pocket entity outbidding the average consumer for better QoS by buying up the bandwidth.
Can this be self-regulated by private companies? No.
So the government has to step in to regulate this issue of QoS.
Ma Bell AT&T complaining about the government telling them how to 'run their business' when they were a regulated phone monopoly, and thus protected from market competition by the government, until they were broken up by the government in an antitrust lawsuit.
Single-payer GRAYSON Single-payer ...It would have been just too damn expensive to remove all that asbestos from the Twin Towers... As the 9/12 Tea Party looks into the events of 9/11 they have many questions concerning the Official Story. They know not to trust the Government & Media. Only the guilty fear inquiry. An ill wind comes arising Across the cities of the plain There's no swimming in the heavy water No singing in the acid rain Red alert Red alert
It's hard to take their show serious when you've got everyone swearing and throwing their bit in. I support internet freedom I think government should stay the fuck out of our history.
The government will use terrorism as an exeuse for invading our rights and freedoms, just like what they used for invading the middle east.
"Government involvement never has been the problem" Then how did very few ppl get to own all of the media, in every form, without lobbying the government?
The same billionaires that control TV, Radio and Print want to control the content of the Internet. As seen here on YT most user content sits at the bottom.
You create net nuetrality by allowing even small startups to webhost like when the internet first arrived. Those people stuck with comcast or AT&T would be able to choose someone who didn't slow things down.
It's the laws that allow them to maintain a grip on both airwaves, cables, and the like that makes customers trapped.
Regardless of the Issue The Fact is...... Big Bro is Trying to Put his Foot in the Internet Door. A Vampire can't come in your house unless you INVITE him.
Holy stuff - this needs to get out in a viral way....while it's still up - - Where can the US government come from that will justify any "control" over a global media outlet....???
Please, tell me. I absolutely MUST know. Then, I need to now why....you, whoever you are think so.
I've got friends from the middle east who can't even watch certain anime online because their ISP blocks such content. I think it's great that comcast is standing up for us and telling the government NO. If we lose internet freedom we will be nothing but sheep listening to main stream media.
I can't wait to see what OTHER laws they pack into the 1000+ pages of this so-called net neutrality bill. You really think this will result in more freedom?
Not only do I think it's a very bad idea, but I'd like to go one step further and revoke all anti-trust laws. I'm still unhappy about Microsoft losing its anti-trust case. Not having anti-trust laws would have been a major boost for Linux.
Instead now Microsoft keeps its de facto OS monopoly. Wonderful :-/
just because *you* don't understand it, doesn't mean it "makes no sense." Apparently you are willing to cede control of the Internet to the FCC, the same unconstitutional "regulatory" agency that created the judeo-TV network monopoly that now brainwashes America.
campaignforliberty [dot] com has a good entry titled: "Net Neutrality Regulation vs. Internet Freedom"
They already have internet 2 and laws in place to shut down our freedom of speech through the internet. It is pure BS. leave it as it is. It works fine, why break it. Imagine surfing the web with the content options you have to surf the channels on television. That would suck....
People overwhelmingly want net neutrality. Why does all media act like their is a debate split down the middle on issues like these.
The only people in the world who are against net neutrality are either giant corporations who want to stifle competition by sucking up all the bandwidth and retarded redneck/libertarians who think anything and every thing large businesses do is benign.
Ending net neutrality would allow chosen sites to load quickly and others slow or not at all. Companies such as AT&T and Comcast would love to chose what I can access, how can that little corporate shill sleep at night?

Verizon will offer a package that cost more for a faster connection leaving people on a budget with a slow generic line for the masses.
However, this will create an insentive for co. like comcast to invent a faster, cheaper system to create compition.
Look at smart phs. Everyone can't have a smart phone. because of market and compotition,
They become affordable. The content argument is the only defense the "Net neutrality" has.
there isnt an incentive to improve. (aka Health Care)

Net neutrality is an attempt to turn control of private networks over to the FCC.
It nothing less than an attempt to consolidate and end one of the very few remaining sources or real news.
