I like her despite myself...I admire her guitar skills and stage presence, but her singing is so unsupported and gimicky. I just want her to hold a few notes out, maybe pop in some high notes (not to be confused with her 1-to-2-second high shouts) like she does on the album. Extremely disappointed at 6:25. :(

@lared112 Well you should definitely check out more performances from her. She also holds a long note in Your Song on her live performances.

Sometimes she skips the notes and sometimes she sings them, i think it's all because of how you need to take care of your voice.

@lared112 You also have to think about how this is her first ever tv performance. She was super nervous and didn't have the best control over her vocals. I still think she did rly good.

i take it back, i've now heard some other songs from her albums, not as bad as i originally thought

the album sounds overproduced, doesn't even sound like live musicians are playing, but live they sound more like an indie-pop band, as opposed to a dance-pop-starlett like the album sounds.

@burghley19 Thats because this was her first performance she was so nervous here that her vocals wasnt spot on but they still sounded good.

On her previous live performances she hits the amazing high notes live she is amazing.

Katie and Luke both sung aswell. All three acts sung acousticly with just a box guitar and they were all awesome!

Saw her live in January before hardly anyone had heard of her in a small pub in Winchester. It wasn't even a proper gig and she was awesome even though she did admit she was a bit tipsy lol. Also, Katie Melua was there along with the lead singer of the kooks Luke Pritchard. Great night!!

about both actually, but mainly about under the sheets.

guns and horses hoses had a version that was ok, maybe its the guitar.

Under the sheets was too awkward, her shaky voice and the out of context production.

I love ellie very much and i think she writes great songs, but the production always sounds very cheap and not fit to her voice.
