hey thanks for posting this i agree with u on everything this movie was so sad and heartwrenching like you said but it was incredible. i saw it with my mom and grandma and a couple of my cousins and unfortunately i think im the only one who liked the movie. i think it was because they didnt want to believe that a mother could be so horrrible to her child...........and unfortunately the things that happened in the moviestill happen and they do all the time

This movie was so very difficult for me to watch. "Raw" is definitely a good word to describe it. I have seen "Precious" once, and I'm not sure I could watch it again. It is so very emotional and real. I have nothing but respect for the actors and actresses who portrayed these characters, and for Saphire, who wrote such an amazing novel. I recommend that EVERY person see this movie, but I do warn, it is quite difficult to watch.

What annoys me about Mariah is that she goes on talk shows and talks how horrible it was because she was not able to wear make -up. When Monique went on Oprah, Monique was like please That's the way I look when I'm at home. Mariah is fronting like she is always glamor all the time that's why I'm not feeling her anymore and I wish she was not in the movie. She is so fake but I will still watch the movie because I read the book and I was a very interesting story. love ya Wes
