Though in Deuteronomy 6:4, it is proclaimed that God is one - the same word ''Elohim'' is used in this verse; so Elohim is one. In the biblical times, the number 3 was of signifance for confirming of something so the trinity is a confimration basically that God is God.

I have heard many Muslims tell me that the bible has been changed yet none have been able to give me a Quranic reference to suggest that the bible of Muhammed's time is any different to the bible that is in use around the world today, the Quran says that Muslims are to believe in both the Torah (Law given through Moses) and the Gospel (Grace come in Jesus) so I am perplexed on the actual Quranic viewpoint of the bible. @medcenman Ok this is a matter referring to the trinity, the first word in the bible for God is ''Elohim'' which is actually a plural word. Though in Deuteronomy 6:4, it is proclaimed that God is one - the same word ''Elohim'' is used in this verse; so Elohim is one. In the biblical times, the number 3 was of signifance for confirming of something so the trinity is a confimration basically that God is God.

I have heard many Muslims tell me that the bible has been changed yet none have been able to give me a Quranic reference to suggest that the bible of Muhammed's time is any different to the bible that is in use around the world today, the Quran says that Muslims are to believe in both the Torah (Law given through Moses) and the Gospel (Grace come in Jesus) so I am perplexed on the actual Quranic viewpoint of the bible.
