Agreed...Andy was born to play that role. I would have to say Crixus was my fav character. I thought it was brilliant the way they introduced him as one of the main antagonists, but throughout the season they slowly reveal him to be so much more. Saving Spartacus's life in the arena against Theokolese, his drive to fight and become champion again even with fatal wounds, romance with Navia, saving Spartacus from the assassination...everything.

I don't think they over exaggerate in spartacus look at the statues in ancient times, 300 story/plot is over exaggerated
