@dexter20082001 thats not good, try linux mint as that worked on my dv2 where ubuntu didnt, i know basicly the same but the guys over at mint must add more than the surface look and a few apps to the distro.
@dexter20082001 there was a trick on 8.4 and 8.10 to get it to boot if your using a usb cd drive of flash drive, once its hung for a min unplug the usb drive then plug it back in and sometimes thats enough to wake it back up in to loading it :)
@evilbobbins Wouldn't you know it, Windows 7 corrupted 3 discs I tried to burn and I ran out. So I have to go get some new CDs to burn it with. Needless to say, I'm pissed.

@inovixplug Ive played NFS shift on it once and it wasn't great but then again it wasn't really bad either. Its good for the size of the laptop

I'm glad Ubuntu didn't market this as "Ubuntu X" or something gay like MAC or Microsoft. I hope beta 2 can find my hard drive now.
