@DaMuttzNutz It's not about being rednecks. Sorry to say this did happen during the war, and a lot more than the average joe thinks unfortunately. When you put the stress and atrocities that were going on in Vietnam on an 18 year old kid's mind, along with them patrolling while high many times, this is what happens. I find it hard to blame the soldiers, they were just young kids and too immature to handle the disgust that was the Vietnam war. Blame the draft, not the soldiers.
