  • this song only got number 2 in Britain's Top 50 in 1962..and the number one is Elvis Presley -Return To Sender-....

  • @BrandonDaBeatle #'only' a number 2, well, it is still great!

  • Cliff was never pushed adequately by his US distributors, at least not until other British acts had overshadowed him in American eyes. Big misfire.

  • The scene is Summer Holiday when he sings it is amazing just like the song.

  • Wow, haventman, never thought of this song like that, but its true such tender words. Since I was a kid it conjures up memories of girls i've met...,sometimes never really done much with, but you think of what what might of been. It reminds me of all my childhood teen romances, dreams.........

  • I really like this piece..it reminds me of my high school days..those were the days that you can't back to...its sad..Hooray to Mr. Cliff Richard

  • On Tv last night they mentioned that an x girlfriend of Cliffs had died this week. This song now seems to have a deeper meaning as the relationship had to end as his career was taking off at the time. He wrote her a lovely letter that was in yesterdays newspaper. I've always loved this song. I wish love songs were written and sung so beautifully today.

  • We played this song for my Mum at her funeral. I think of her whenever i hear it. Its hard to listen to but she loved it and so do I. Miss you Mum!!! thanks Cliff for creating such a beautiful song xx

  • lainB1511: Ohhhh, but to see Cliff live again. He did come to Canada a couple of times in the '80s - best concerts I've ever seen. But, now that I'm married (in '94) and in love with my wife and high school sweetheart from 1962, he doesn't stray much from Britain. Sure wish he would cuz, next to the one and only Elvis, Cliff is the BEST!!

  • Beautiful song, and Sir Cliff sang it marvellously. Brings back good memories.

  • wow this brings me back like 3 years. Play that music rich dude

  • This song came out when i was 15 years old and i still love it with my 58 years of age!

  • Im pretty worried as my mum is a Cliff fanatic and I was always embarrassed as a kid to buy her any of his music for his birthday but now Im about to turn 40 I actually remember this song and love it as its actually a great love song

  • This song remind me of my ended relationship with my Jady, one of the greatest girls in the world, we broke up in early 2005 and until today I haven't found a girl I loved as much as I did love her

  • mmmmmm Yes please!

  • can cliff richard dance...if he can i must be missing something.

if a man is gonna stand in front of an audience and just sing..might aswell stay home and listen 2 his records.

  • For Graceland 2008. If that is the case, Elvis Presley may as well go and gyrate his hips and god forsake all the other famous singers, who may as go and hide in their shell. I don't want to diss your opinion, but it holds no water!!!

  • Have you ever seen this man in concert? At 60 the movements he makes would put many 20 somethings to shame.

  • thanks worship999 for the montage of cliff pics - one of my favs from the early days

  • Yes it's one of Cliff's best songs! Thanks for such a beautiful clip!

  • Now i am getting worried cos this also has no sound for me???

  • Icredible song from the Summer Holiday EP. And under me is the daughter of the man who wrote the incredible lyric, wow!

  • Thanks a million. I have not heard this song in decades! And with the lyrics too! WOW!

  • great thanks!!!

  • Love the song. A great memory tune.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIR CLIFF!

  • Would be great if he could speak out more about the fact he is from Lucknow!

  • Thanks for posting this wonderful song.

  • Yes, Sir Cliff Richard has just 67 this month of October. Don't we just wish he had a son looking just like him and well behaved, just like him? Well, it wasn't meant to be.

  • What do you mean awful? Its very nice.

  • this is awful prefer the b side more

  • cliff richard was once labled britains answer to elvis presley i disagree cliff was his own man had lots of talent and is still going strong today not bad for a 66 year old almost 67 he was born in 1940 in india of british parents .

  • It just so happened that they 'appeared' at the same time so there was bound to be comparisons at some point. I agree that Cliff is his own man. He was definitely my mother's hero. I can understand why.

  • I've never heard this one before . It sure is nice.

  • Great song
