after 99 they stooped using the 420a 2.0l dohc non turbo made by crhysler and they stopped using the 4g63t 2.0L turbo dohc made by mitsubishi, in 99 stopped the dsm diamond star motor, mitsubishi started to work as a jdm, the gs, rs eclipses use a I4 2.4L and the eclipse gt and gts use the v6 3.0L, so for JSASK8 learn a little bit of mitsubishi motor company...............

looks pretty clean at the 2:20, idk what the big deal is about hookin up a gs, shit i own a rs and if wanted too id put whole system exhaust w/intake maybe a turbo or supercharger, set of wheels maybe a bod kit and id be one of the baddest fukers on the road. there is only 3 different engine types in the 3g series, 2.4-152hp RS & GS, 3.0-200hp GT, and 3.0-210hp GTS. you dont need the fastest model to be the fastest car.

How do you like the clutch on yours. I have test drove both a 2G GS and a 3G RS and the 3G had a very strange clutch. It was quite stiff until the last inch or so then it engaged. Are they all like that?

(I have driven RX-8s, Mazda 3s, 2g eclipses, volvos, and miatas and they all had similar, linear clutch release)

alot of people go around calling people ricers when they see the exausht but if you actually no somthing about cars then you would know that adding a new exausht system is on of the cheapest ways to add horsepower and yes it does it sounds kinda wierd but on stock exausht theres baffle inside the muffler which creates resistance and your wasting horse power pushing it threw and with new exausht theres less resistance so you can save horsepower for your tires instead of suing to to sound quiter!
