The cliff tool (the picture of a cliff with a red line on it and some arrows) lets you change the texture of the cliff... but there's only a few to choose from

It's obvious you're just DISCOVERING the editor, and I don't think experience with AOE2 will help a lot, 'cause AOE3 is a lot different.

THIS IS HOW TO SET AI: Create ai start go to player data set ai scroll down to ai:standard, click it should say error something go back to player data(remember to save scenario before doing this) clear ai then set ai click ai:standard BOOM that should do it =)

Go to the menu ''scenerio'' ( thats on top of your screen)

then go to playerdata, there u can find, like, everything for your enemies.

You can change the civ, the colour, ánd if you want them to be controled by human or computer

There are things called sockets. They are where you put your trade things and native buildings. There an object. It looks like this: (Trade): socket_trade (or something like that, I dont know it off by heart) or (Native): socket_(Native Name). Its hard to make a native scene since the sockets dont come with the whole village, and i found the only fence i can find that suits it, is the fence with kids on it. so, there you go

lol your wrong, you can change the colour of a cliff, you go on the button with the cliff hi-lighted in red, left click on a cliff, and it will give outlines of a cliff, from then on you can paint anything on it:)

i say aoe 2 was better in the unit concept, alot more units and civilizations in aoe 2, but aoe 3 has sweet graphixs ^-^, scenario editer isent so great because you cant set a map to one ground texture automatically, you have to fill it in with the brush, and this tends to get annoying when your editing a huge map

when you make a custom map, the AI doesn't talk to you (i've got a video showing how to set AI) if you make a RMS then yes, they will talk to you, but it's extremely long and difficult to make one.
