  • could anyone point me in the right direction so I can listen to this instead of whiney little punks in my college classes? i tried amazon, itunes, and zune. thanks for any help, because i really like this band

  • 2:35 = appropriate use of snare

  • @OWHall agree! man this part of the song sounds amazing! ... and the rest too of course

  • why i love this song so much

  • 24 seconds of madman DJENT

  • Better have a discussion about the symbols in their bandlogo...

  • @CryingDemon5 Browne and Swanney are conspiracy theory junkies

  • I really don't understand youtube arguments?? Seriously, what's the point?? You're just wasting your time when you could just be enjoying this inspirational and fucking incredible music?!?! Go and do something productive with your lives peoples!

  • why are ppl such bitches enjoy the epic song

  • @MrPetrucci100 nice!

  • I just jizzed or shall I say djizzed

  • @caltrof: What a witty pun :-) ...

  • BEAST!

  • No matter what genre this is, it has the most epic chorus in that genre i have heard yet... gets me everytime!

  • omg i wrote a comment on here about a year ago and am still getting people replying to it!! @braindrillstudios i dont even understand your point? i think your just saying what i said already? read the other comments dumbass.if you want to called it djent go ahead i dont really care!!!!! but this is more like groove id say ;) @TheAngryTortise omg its on itunes so it must be djent!!!

  • Where can i get this music?

  • it is in fact a genre now... why? cause it's cool and who wants to write out "techy groove metal" ? i shure dont

  • We all Welcome the New FELLSILENT DJEDIS :)

  • @kbaptiste28 please dont call me 'a pretentious ass' when you clearly have no clue what your talking about.the term 'djent' comes from chords and style of playing meshuggah invented not a genre of music.if you really feel the need to pigeon hole this music then groove or as i said before prog/tec metal is the best description, not 'djent' which comes from a mathmetal band.but i guess at the end of the day call it what you like, its all just music.

  • Saw them live! ...Damn... I Listen to this song for nearly 4 hours WITHOUT break! It is so awesome, I think I will buy the record immediately on release.

  • The vocals make me feel like I'm about to play Smackdown Vs Raw.

  • Thats because they sound like Fred Durst.

  • anyone know what album this is off or is it yet to be released? and if so when is it coming out ?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!11111oneoneoneone

  • @bleach50k Late March/early April.

  • @CelestialObscurity thanx dude :D

  • @CelestialObscurity the deadline for the master is due at the begining of may so probably sometime after that

  • @jessicae19 I spoke to Neema and he said April; I think May if something fucks up, but apparently they're aiming for April!

  • sick

  • this songs cool! not into there stuff much but if they write more like this, ace!

  • haha how did the tone of the guitar become the name of a genre???

  • @sk8njam

    Thats how much it rapes.

  • @feltgrape ummm try again buddy

  • saw them live less than 24h ago @ 013 Tilburg NL. Quality shait, absolutely. Agile guitar players, a bass player that even gave away a slappingsolo, a drummer resembling animal from time to time and 2 high octane voices. I had a blast. Even when one of the voices continued in his boxershort due to warmth on stage hehe. They almost overshadowed Periphery (with a sick voice and one less guitar due to broken bones).

  • @Mokaod they totally powned periphery XD Partually due to the fact 013 audio system couldn't handle the direct audio-input of the guitarists AXE-FX

  • This shit is amazing

  • Oh I hear Start... "we own the drugs"... Chorus - "wasted time with the fishes(or visions) of our lives and boy have we got some sofa bread, This Destination (or Assassination!) Check it for pictures and shaded by Optee ons(?) break thru this cloak absorption built on lies and so far the circle check it for pictures and shade it by optee ons Suppose we lost the sharks" "Im sick of you".

  • Anybody got the lyrics?! We refuse to be brainwashed.... This destination? Im sick of you... OOOHHH... its all I got/get... I wanna sing it in the shower. Tired of Jacking off to it.... In the shower....

  • @analyticequals hahahahaha

  • fuck me I cannot get enough of this band. Incredible!

  • Bristol tonight! First leg of the tour!!

  • @scottiehenry FUCK YEAH

  • nice chorus...nice idea....n nice song

  • this is like a fell silent upgrade =] love it

  • That chorus is the best chorus I've ever heard.

  • @denfilade true that!

  • where can i buy their music?? sounds great :O

  • @BreakingBenniBoyA7x

Sorry, Avenged Sevenfold fans NOT allowed. If you had any sense you'd just fucking google it -____-

  • @Mugenloo hey why are you acting like a little kid?? i can listen to what i want ... and i like this and i like avenged sevenfold >:(

  • @BreakingBenniBoyA7x

    Because I'm a dick

  • @BreakingBenniBoyA7x

If it helps, I think Breaking Benjamin are catchy though :) But honestly, don't ask silly questions that google could answer for you in 0.0013 seconds.

  • @Mugenloo yeah they are great (; (see my name) but i'm sorry that question was really silly ... didn't thought of it , soo ...

  • For some weird reason this song brings me memores of playstasion2 games !

  • faouvrite song by this band.

  • djent was used to describe meshuggahs heavy 4 note power chord grooves.................then some how bulb made it a fucking genre....even tho he doesnt take the credit so fuck u fans......this song is bumpin

  • nice style =) like em :) first song... will listen more ;)

  • Anyone knows the lyriks of this awesom song ? :D

  • this song blows my mind

  • god damn it! this song is so perfect...

  • JAG!!

  • This song is absolutely incredible however the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired.Hopefully this is solely preliminary version before mastering etc and the final outcome will be considerably better.

  • from which album is this perfect song?

  • @tanky666hate Their debut album will apparently be out next year...so I don't think this is on one yet, but I know they have a myspace EP floating around somewhere for free.

  • Anyone has lyrics?

  • Saw Monuments live yesterday and they sounded live a lot better than on a recording. Nice guys selling their merch in their own. Cool musicians, ambitious, hope there's coming more in the near future.

  • I saw them not that long... my bf's band recorded with them.

  • I can't stop listening to this shit.

  • as good as this is, i doubt i will ever like any album in this genre as much as fellsilent's 2008 album

  • monteith has taken this project so far in last couple of years. i still have his very first demo's off his myspace and i still hope he'll release an updated version of this is serenity

  • @falsepod Monteith?

  • @sidge428 James Monteith. This is his project.

  • @falsepod in what way is it his project?

  • @sidge428 how long have you been listening to "monuments"? cos i've been there since the first two demo's went up on his myspace. this was monteith's project, he's now expanded it and turned it into a proper thing. he used to have his studio spec up on his myspace cos it was just him making the demo's on a pod xt pro.

  • @falsepod So presumably, from what you're saying; James Monteith (metal), gave all the demo's and everything to John Browne to take over then?

  • @sidge428 shit dude, i'm looking through comments as far back as 2007 on the myspace page cos he's taken off all the old info since myspace changed its look and they are all saying john browne. my memory must have just totally fucked it. i fucking swore it was monteith and i thought it was all this time, haha

  • @falsepod haha, no worries mate.......its been browne all along, i can say cos i know him quite well. pretty good mate :)

monteith plays guitar for tesseract and works for basick in the media dept i think. so yeahh... :p

  • @sidge428 yeah i know he plays in tesseract and i thought monuments was his side project, shit knows where i got that idea from, haha

  • @falsepod haha, no worries bro :)

while fellsilent were going, browne was doing monuments on the side...although he seemed to have stuff alot different to what he has now...he's using alot of the stuff he was gonna use for fellsilents second album i think

  • Fellsilent > Tesseract/Monuments

All of the above have ridiculous talent

To anyone who hasn't seen tesseract or monuments do it before you miss out, the atmosphere and the quality that either band produce will make you shit yourself

To anyone who didn't manage to see fellsilent, i feel for you. they were INCREDIBLE.

  • haha I just synced this with the "Memoirs - Monuments Drums UPDATED " version on youtube. it was cool yea

  • At first i was really upset when FS broke up, but now that ive heard this and the Tesseract EP, I'm not so worried.

    Monuments>Tesseract>Fell Silent

  • @samthehero Tesseract>Monuments>Fellsilent. Concealing Fate is possibly the best CD ive ever heard.

  • when this cd comes out its going to own the metal world

  • monuments>fellsilent

  • fucking sick tune!!!

Neema & Browne fucking legends aswell!!!

    Fellsilent R.I.P

  • this band is FUCKING ACE.

  • \m/

  • Fellsilent 2.0 anyone? ;) R.I.P. Fellsilent

  • @w00per Yea. Sounds alot like Fellsilent. I didn;t know they broke up. i just get into them/ (and these guys too)

  • @w00per But Fellsilent fell to make way for two great bands! TesseracT and monuMents! :D

  • @w00per Sounds sooooo much like them...

  • @KovertKitty yea, which isn't a bad thing ;)

  • @w00per fellsilent is awesome... :D

  • @w00per totally, this is what their second album would have been, for sure. RIP yeah, but a great progression

  • this song rocks !

  • Absolutely amazing stuff. I love this.

  • djent is the tone/style of guitar being played not the genre of music.i would say progressive tec metal is a good description of this band

  • @mathtechead agreed.

  • @mathtechead i know but i still call all these bands "Djent bands" cuz its cooler than saying progressive tec metal

  • @mathtechead Don't forget the polyrythms! That's what makes great djent.

  • @mathtechead no, djent's the genre... which refers to the "tone" of the guitar. don't be a pretentious ass. btw, people who think like you are in the minority. this is waaay more than simply progressive. it's a completely different style. therefore "djentmetal" reigns supreme.

  • @kbaptiste28 Being in the minority doesn't make you wrong... both Misha (Bulb) and Fredrik (Meshuggah's guitarist who originally coined the phrase) have said, too many times to count, that djent is NOT a genre; it refers specifically to the sound of a palm-muted, mid-cranked powerchord stacked with 4 notes. Djent is as much of a genre as overdrive or wah.

  • @DjentMeister ok... it's just like the original bands didn't like being called screamo, but they still ended up being called screamo cause it's what the majority thought of it as. terminology is completely based on majority rule. music is a democracy, and the people have voted on djent.

  • @DjentMeister I ended up chattin with Tosin Abasi about my band and he asked "Are you guys Djent?" lol so even he sees it as a genre, but truly...who cares lol. Things transcend through time and the meaning of it changes.

    -JKR

  • @alexstypes I know... there's just so much variety between so called 'djent' bands, like TesseracT and Meshuggah for example, that it doesn't seem the best of ways to classify them. Ahh, I'm just being overly pedantic, I suppose :L I loved your latest Protest cover by the way, good luck in the future!

  • @DjentMeister Haha thanks bud! Keep an eye out.

  • @mathtechead djent is actually now a genre it is even recognized on itunes

  • @mathtechead Only hipsters and ignorant fools say that. It is a genre evolved from the word describing a tone/style of guitar being played.

  • .... pity the vocalist sounds like a shitty deathcore screamie.

  • @Kharmaireth ??

    Personal preference man,

  • @Kharmaireth Generally deathcore uses much more glottal vocals with a lot less layers. These guys make amazing use of under/overtones in their screams.

  • @Kaizen9001 this isnt deathcore tho its DJENT its in a league of its own

  • @xADEAN4DIMEx I was arguing against it being deathcore... read Kharmaireth's original comment.

And anyway, I don't consider djent to be a genre. And neither do Monuments. They play progressive technical metal.

  • @Kharmaireth Yeah, and I pity the fool.

  • awesome

  • It's like fellsilent but somehow very different at the same time. I think the pace of the songs are much faster than most of fellsilent's music and it has more of a classic metal CHUG than a DJENT tone.

  • I'm supporting this band in September =D!!!!!!

  • I prefer the chorus arpeggios in the old version... only my opinion hey? love you work browne/neema

  • sounds so much like Fellsilent!

  • @Conzillla There's a reason for that ;)

  • freaking awsomeeeeee

  • damn! Sheer perfection! Why didn't I write this incredible song?!!

  • Where can I get the lyrics?

  • Sounding better every time I hear an upload! The bass sounds a lot better than in Admit Defeat. Just get the singing vocals a bit louder and clearer and you're in business. Bad ass track.

  • artwork is sooo sick. and the song is awesome too obviously. i was very stoked when I heard parts in this song that I recognized from John Brownes old "Memoirs".
