I was just looking at your classical and flamenco guitars on your website.....very beautiful.....and very tempting! I've been playing guitar for years, but only recently decided that I'm really gonna try and learn to play classical guitar properly. If I make good progress, then maybe in two or three years I might just pay you a visit (I would have to try a few to see which one is the one for me). Would be nice to hear a few of them on youtube (just spotted 'yuri plays sycamore'!) . Shalom
No, it's alcohol, as it says on the bottle - alcohol 95%. Then again, what is isopropyl? Is it a type of alcohol? This stuff is clear. I get it from the chemist. It doesn't seem to leave any residue. I used to use methylated spririts - the purple stuff, but I think alcohol's better - it seems to evaporate quicker, dissolve more shellac, and it isn't purple. Thanks for your question - I'd be interested to hear what you think, or what you know.
The alcohol bottle, was it isopropyl? Do you use this in your french polish as a ethanol substitute? I would assume that it could leave a cloudy residue.
