Hard to have any sympathy with what happened to the Germans after what they did in Russia.

This is what happens when you try to fight "a war of extermination"......and lose.

vielen ist nur nicht bewusst,das mit dem überfall auf polen am 1.september 1939 nicht nur die deutsche armee einen verbrecherischen akt begangen hat ,sondern auch 14 tage später auch die rote armee.

nur wurde seit diesem zeitpunkt diese grenze zu polen beibehalten,und alle polen ausgewiesen und nach westen deportiert.

der sowietunion hatte man den krieg nicht erklärt,das war wohl für die englender franzosen usw. doch ein bisschen zu fett

Bei Nemmersdorf handelt sich nicht um Kriegspropaganda, die allerdings dennoch auf allen Seiten eines der größten Probleme dieses Krieges war, sondern um Tatsachen.

Alle, die es selber gesehen haben, empfanden das Massaker als das schlimmste, was sie jemals im Kriege gesehen haben.

Es war auch der Aufruf an alle, so schnell wie möglich aus dem Osten zu fliehen, solange sie noch konnten.

Dennoch starb die Hälfte aller Ostdeutschen.

Die Allierten waren genauso schlimm (Rheinwiesenlager).

In October 1944, the Eastern District of Gumbinnen was the first territory of the old Reich to be the scene of fighting between the Wehrmacht Soviet army, resulting in massacres of civilians.

It was only chance of civilians, the Russians never fired on civilians years.

No. Stalin hated taking risks. He therefore only attacked countries that were much smaller or already beaten. Thus, if Germany would have been beaten by the western Allies, then he would have attacked Germany at the last moment. But GB and USA alone were not strong enough to defeat Germany. Very true,Germany never had the resources of Russia,Stalin was primarily waiting for the year 1942 to atack and thus apeasing Hitler with gifts in raw materials and shipments of goods just to buy time.The war lasted this long just because the german army smashed many russian units in 1941 crippeling the red tide for about 2 years.And the turning point in the war was not Stalingrad in late 1942 but the battle for Moscow in 1941,losing that battle cost the german army ww2

@tanasexu Hitler's mistake was not finishing the British or forcing them into peace before attacking the USSR. He created a war on 4 fronts for Germany. They had the war at sea, the air war over Germany, and they had to occupy the Balkans and help Mussolino in Africa.

he couldnt finish off the British because the German Luftwaffe couldnt archieve air superiority wich was the only way Hitler could start thinking about maybe invading Britain and even then Germany would probably not have invaded Britain because of the far superiour Royal Navy. So defeating Britain was never an realistic goal of Hitler and not even his original plan.

Well agree that the defeat int the battle of britain was a major contribution to the defeat of Germany in WWII but they actually started the Blitz after it was becoming clear that Germany was losing the battle. But winning the battle of Britain wouldnt secure european victory for Germany because Britain still got by far the largest navy in the world and because the island acted like a fort they could still have build up a their big army for an invasion.
