no..a veyron produces 1000 hp at the crank..an inter combustion engine is about 30% efficient..it loses the rest of it's 2000 hp via heat losses..etc..same goes with all cars..the output of the engine is still 1000 hp..the ACTUAL power produced before losses is roughly 3 times that

first of all moron, the bugatti veyron doesnt have a V16, it has a W16 wich is 4 bays of 4 pistons, and the W16 is an engineering break through and the platform for what we can now start to expect in the future of legal power, and just to fill you in its a W16 with 4 turbos but weighs in a 1.8 ton, a modifyed drag version has been made in the UK wich has an out put of 3k bhp and only 1.3 tons so trust me, the v8 is far from its prime now days.
