  • can we use papaya and pineapple powder as well...thanks

  • OMG Baljeet from Phineas and pherb made a cooking show!

  • won't the flavors of the meat be very sweet? HOw about rinsing the chicken before making my thai stir fries?

  • where the hell im i going to find a fresh papaya in switzerland!

  • You could also use a mechanical tenderizer, its faster and you can marinate and cook your meat in only a few minutes. I got mine here:

  • Thank you very much! I used to tenderize using mechanical means, before, but this works so much better. And, there is not any lasting sweet flavor on the meat to worry about.

I would like to note that 3-4 hours may be a little long to wait, especially with chicken breast/thighs, because they will be broken down to the point of almost resembling a pate; this has happened to me, before. Therefore, I suggest marinating no longer than 1 hour for either chicken or beef.

  • i love his accent

    thanks for the video

  • I`ve got the powder form, but no instructions. Please can you tell me how to use it?

  • You are the best Sanjay !! Simple yet powerful suggestions that stay put in the permanent memory of the brain !! God Bless You & Thanks for sharing your gift !

  • hi Sanjay, will this pineapple/papaya based tenderizer not sweeten the meat??

  • also can we store this juice for a long time and as other people asking shall we wash the meat after tenderizing it and no need to add water for making the paste?

  • What a great tip and 'all natural' too!

Kinda makes you wonder what happens to your body when you eat pinapple and papaya though. =O

  • @whodoiturnto The acids in your stomach are much stronger than the power of the papaya.. they get eaten up even before the papaya can think of doing damage.

  • @Desi4evah So vomit and use the acids in your stomach to tenderize? i think this is how to tenderize so the meat is appetizing enough to actually eat.

  • @cliffcox66 Yeah I know that's what you do when you mom in law visits you. Bloody loser with a capital L.

  • do we rinse the tenderizer off the meat when we're done marinating? cause i dont reallty want the smell and flavor of the tenderizer to stick to my meat.

  • taink yu :-)

  • lol

  • Great! This will sure come in handy

  • Will this impart any flavor or sweetness to the meat?

  • One of the best videos I've probably seen

  • Great Video...

  • Awesome tip Chef

  • :) thanks!

I actually just started training to be a shop butcher and have been wondering about just this :D so thanks a lot, but I wonder will it flavor the meat?

(i don't get to cook much yet but I'm hoping to try more of your fantastic looking recipes soon)

  • Thank you so much!!

  • ah...... I see!

what an insight! thank you master.

  • if we don't get raw papaya...can we use only the juice of pineapple??...pls reply

  • processed juices don't work

  • @ritutulsian YES, you can. I know the for fact because I used canned pineapple juice. it works extremely well. Just don't leave it too long cause it'll turn too mushy and have no structure. But canned, does work.

  • good info chef thanks for sharing

  • Put garlic on the meat makes it tender too. !
