looks like he's using diatonics and alternate sweeping. I understand diatonics (in that you throw the pinky down) I just never implement it in practice. If I'm playing a superfast descending run I usually just stick to my major pentatonics in the b flat area.

They play, get discovered, get offered a deal, accept the deal, play music, get a larger fanbase, laugh at ppl who hate them, make good on their deal, make good music, make more good music, tour, get more of a fanbase, find more ppl that hate them, laugh because what are a few ppl saying their music sucks compared to their entire fanbase? Well unless their fanbase is really small it means nothing. And their fanbase isn't small

A combination of rasp in the throat, running vocals through a marshall (or any tube amp, guitar or bass whatever, for that matter) which causes them to break up and be sorta grainy, use of the diagphram muscle in the abdomen in combination with the rasp from the throat, and many say being a smoker helps and I'm pretty sure Matts a smoker. It just takes some screwing around, like I wanted to have that sing/scream Keith Buckley has and after some practice I still sound like me but I got it.
